I knew a kid named Gumby in elementary school. He wasnt named after the show or product, his name was just Gumby. So naturally everyone made fun of him. In the summer of 1987 he entered the little convenience store on Avalon and 98 and decided to blast his way through 17 people in a fit of rage. When he was found hours later he was holding 2 cups of play doh and a Big gulp from 7-11. After the local cops in Florida surrounded him, they slowly came upon him and arrested him with no resistance. When he was taken in they asked him "Why in the world did u kill all those people?" He simply replied " The act of killing isn't malleable it's solid, its unchanging whether you choose to do the act or not, there is no choice of molding the outcome" But don't let this man distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 feet through an announcer's table.

@cpk1994 and a lot of people thought the movie was horrible. The biggest media hype was eddie Murphy returning to SNL. The anticipation of how he was going to do with him portraying some of his characters.
"Gumby..Gumby..just calm down"..Colin Jost
"Don't tell me to calm down Trailer Boy"...Gumby
I just lost it there..
Gumby:
“ I am Gumby!”
“ I am Gumby!”
“ I am Gumby!”
Me:
In tears
"In the morning I take a dump!"
“I’m staying.”
He SMOKES a cigahh!
Brian somebody to lovePughsley j
😂
This was easily the highlight of a triumphant homecoming for Eddie Murphy that absolutely lived up to expectation.
Todd Ledbetter Yes he did
Cuz he’s the greatest.
I can’t believe how funny Eddie can make the line “ya black bastid” 🤣 😂
I like how he broke character for a second and started laughing.
The best! 😂😂
That was hilarious!!!😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I swear that was 90 percent improv. Classic Eddie Murphy. Che and Colin didnt even try to hold the laughter. They just let the legend work and asked questions to keep him going.
Don Rickles would be proud.
Marshall Steven So would Richard Pryor.
Underrated comment
*’’I’m Gumby DAMIT....In the morning I take a dump’’💩*
Just want to say thank you to Eddie Murphy, NBC and SNL for making this happen!! I've tried to stay faithful to SNL for all these years and this was an amazing Christmas present!!
Not a Christmas character, The Gumby Christmas Special is one of Gumby's best sketches.
Wish that sketch was on UA-cam or the official web site.
“You guys wanna hear a Christmas story?! Then gather around and keep your damn mouths shut?”
Merry Christmas, Dammit!
Eddie Murphy is a comic genius. He had me dying 😂
Everything Eddie Murphy touched tonight was absolute GOLD!!!
Jaxson Burke The Truth. He still has it. He could join back tomorrow and be the top cast member for the next 5 years.
Classic SNL and Eddie Murphy!! Great night!!
Dear SNL, this show was the best Christmas present ever. The world needs more Eddie Murphy. Lauren Michaels, thank you, from the old white lady I Colorado
😆😅🤣🤣😅😆😆😅😍❤
"Im staying here!
DONT TAP ME YA BASTARD IM STAYIN!"
Oh my god, im dyin
Can’t wait for Coming To America 2 and the 2 Netflix stand ups. Upvote if you’re with me.
Allinone The Great is it just me or should it be called Coming Back 2 America?
N we soon shall see why the title. Also I heard there is a Beverly Hills Cop 4 coming out on Netflix too from Paramount in the works.
The movie is gonna be called Coming 2 America.
Begging for likes yo feel a sense of self-esteem
Gumby definitely brought the best with Colin and Michael breaking character making all of us believe that SNL’s original comedy still got it with a pioneer like Eddie bring the show back in unimaginable and nostalgic ways
How is Eddie still funnier than everyone on the show 35 years later.
because everyone on the show sucks
He’s just that good
Talent and skill
Dj Lee because he’s the funniest man alive lol
Probably because he's actually funny and a serious actor so he's not laughing at all his own jokes.
I love the fact that even Eddie Murphy had to pause for a second and laugh at his jokes. Welcome back King of SNL🤴
Why does Gumby sound so much like Bernie Sanders?
‘Cause he’s an angry old Jew!
Sanders sounds like Gumby.
I am BERNIE, dammit!
That's an old Jewish-American accent.
Just more racially charged
For Eddie Murphy to be the Special Guest Host in 2019--reprising his *Classic* SNL roles... It's a Christmas gift from God!~
😅✌🏾
Is it just me or does Eddie Murphy’s return to SNL and comedy make everything right in the world?
I forgot to look at the show yesterday! But today I found it on a NBC channel! I have watched this scene over and over again! With all that is going on in the world Gumby and Buckwheat makes everything right!
It's only you.........You fucking weirdo.
@drifting
Really was all of that called for ? It was a feel good comment...
It was great 👍 Like seeing an old friend again
@@corbindallas1088 - iT WAS HORRID. He should have kept in character. All these millennial joke cast members break character and smile in their skits. Atrocious and poorly executed.
He did. Eddie Murphy literally saved SNL.
Agree! The funniest man on TV today.
He did again when this episode aired lol
Yes he did
funny thing is, the show has actually been on an uptick in the past year since this, its gotten kinda good again
“So Eddie, we’ll just put that makeup on and-“
“Nah.”
“Okay, costume it is.”
That's right what happened to the green makeup on the face
Uncle, you both realize there are plenty of Gumby skits Eddie done back in the day where he didn't have makeup on right?
One in general is on UA-cam!!
Uncle Buckle It would probably take too much time to get off his face before the next sketch. Trust me, I did makeup for Shrek the Musical 😂
You youngsters don't understand how funny this really is. Gumby was the sweetest character ever. It would be like, if they too Sponge Bob and turned him into an angry Jewish Guy.
What makes you think that young people don’t know who Gumby is?
@@the3idiots14 Because the show hasn't been shown in ages even in reruns.
i’m a gen z and i watched gumby every night on VHS as a kiddo. but good point! it’s hilarious.
Im 29 and had gumby toys and watched gumby... I was born in 1991
I watched Pokey and Gumby claymation cartoons as a kid in the late sixties. Eddie isn't anything like the original...lol...
Eddie's little break made this even more enjoyable
Yes!!!
This whole episode's synopsis: Eddie Murphy enters SNL studio set; hilarity ensues.
Breaking character and it's still funny. He's doing the voice of the Jewish man from Coming to America
No. The Jewish man was Gumby in human form.
@@SuaveGemini nice
Freewarrior2 yeah go look up the original Gumby he’s always had that voice
@@KerkinWayno I was just replying to suavegemini. I know about his Gumby character from back in the day.
Nah, He's doing the voice from his original Gumby character which he used in Coming to America
Lmfaoooooo he called him “headshot”
Ya black bastid!!!!🤣🤣🤣
😆😅🤣🤣😅😆😆😅😆😅😅😅😅🤣😅🤣😅🤣😆🤣😅🤣😅😅😅😅😅😅🤣😅🤣😅😅😅🤣😅🤣😅😅
Can't believe he called him that on national TV
@@worldmadness2566 it was part of the skit Gumby is supposed to be an old Jewish guy that say what he wants
Every time he said it I could not control the laughter!!!
@Anthony Emrick fines and prison terms for violent, vry sexual or otherwise adult lyrics (unless the artist is actually encouraging specific violence against specific people) is unAmerican....but I see nothing wrong with explicit lyrics/parental warning labels, and I've always wondered why people got so upset about them. Theyre absolutely no different than movie or tv ratings.
I always wonder at the people who clutch their pearls over Tipper
Because, its important to add, you're mistaken...
*Tipper Gore NEVER PUSHED OR PROPOSED fines, prison sentences* ...or even censorship!
(She explicitly says she doesnt want to censor artists in many places, including her autobiography)
She only wanted labeling, so parents werent unwittingly buying very graphic content for their ten year old kid.
And she won the day, because it was very reasonable.
Accurately labeling content is not censorship. And as you say, it was a win for all concerned, since bands no longer had to work as hard to get the public interested in their "adult" content.
Is 57 year old man is very happy tonight thank you Eddie
Watching Eddie crack up just made my whole year...
Everyone broke character. That's RARE!
Wherever I go I shall now tell people that I am Gumby dammit and I saved them from the "guttah"
😂😂😂
@@mloftin6472 weirdest flex ever
He is the greatest. These two couldn’t keep a straight face for one second.
Those two guys broke character the whole time that’s how funny Eddie is 😂😂
I love how he silenced the audience after he broke!!!! Ey!!!!!
Miguel Avendano that was a master at work. Eddie Murphy is the Maestro of Comedy...
He use to say shut up to the audience when he played Gumby... I low key wanted him to say it 😀 but what he said worked
He really has the audience in the palm of his hand. He even involved the cameramen in his "The Little Richard Simmons Show" sketch. www.dailymotion.com/video/x2ix03e
OMG I remember when Eddie first did that Gumby sketch on SNL and it's still hilarious! "I'm Gumby, damn it!" LOL!
R.i.p Charlie Murphy
john doe Darkness!
Rest in paradise Charlie Murphy
john doe , it would have been awesome if he were still with us and got on SNL that night.
For real!
"That Lizzo, ….Hubba Hubba! and you know, colored girls usually don't do that for me"...
My dad was watching this with me and he could not stop laughing and telling me that these were all characters Eddie Murphy used to do.
I was laughing so hard because Colin wouldn’t stop laughing, and Micheal was getting burned by Gumby.😂
www.dailymotion.com/video/x2ix03e
Imagine this comic energy on a weekly basis. This is what Eddie was every Saturday night back then. The original cast left, he stepped in and kept the show must-see. This return made me feel young again.
This was funny. Serves them right, they knew Gumby was coming, they shouldve had a Morey Amsterdam waiting for him. lmao
Do you by chance mean "Morey Amsterdam"?
Auto correct dammit! I changed it twice and it still got me.
Amateurs, smh😂😂
Dot dot dot...and whatever the hell else ya wanna put in there...
Gumby: I smoke a cigar!
Che & Jost: [synchronized bow to the king]
"I am Gumby, damnit. I am Gumby. If I want to smoke a cigar, I smoke a cigar!"
"So where's your hor - "
'I SMOKE A CIGAR!"
😂😂😂
I think that’s the funniest part
Perfect comic timing.
Eddie Murphy knows that he's saved SNL
Grew up in the 80’s watching Eddie Murphy as Gumby and he’s still funny😁
Eddie is like Picasso and the rest of this cast are using finger paints. Eddie comes back after 35 years and just blows them all away
Eddie had to snicker a lil bit 🤣🤣 made me laugh even more🤣
