This was pretty challenging, but you brought to light some technique flaws that are seen in even the basic poses we all take for granted. I appreciated your use of the blocks to complete some of the traditional poses. A lot of instructors mention their use, show the technique, and then engage in a more flexible movement; but you make us be able to relate to you even more. Thank you for all of your hard work!

As someone who's been weightlifting, running, and cycling for the past 25 years, I turned to yoga to help undo some of the damage I've done to my joints and muscles. Calvin seems to know exactly what my body needs to recover and feel good.
I have been a yogi for a while. Strength is where I need to work. I would appreciate more classes like this with Calvin. They are hard but so helpful to stabilize. Thanks Calvin!
His notes and tips on what to focus on in each pose are incredible. Really helped me to know if I was doing something right or if I needed to make an adjustment. I wish every yoga instructor provided such clear guidance that flows seamlessly into the instruction.

This was AMAZING. I'm typically skeptical of trying flow classes on yoga/fitness brand pages because they tend to be geared more towards beginners from a strength building stance, but as someone that works out a ton and focuses a lot on strength building, this totally kicked my butt! LOVE IT, thank you! I'd just recommend that meditation in savasana is necessary for a practice to be complete, in addition to saying namaste!
Very challenging in the best way! There are some sequences that are still difficult for me after doing this class two times. I'll definitely be coming back to this one. And I love the length, 45 minutes is perfect to feel light and awake in the morning. Thank you Calvin!
You are obviously a very experienced and efficient teacher. And this is a TOP yoga workout for guys, who may want to spend more time on muscle building and not want to spend as much time deep stretching the hips or listening to "don't be attached to.." "thank yourself for..." "one vertebrae at a time...." "give yourself a big positive hug!!!" etc.
I kind of enjoyed this, but after 20mins I was flagging a little, needed a little more motivation. I specifically like Calvin because he’s not cheesy and his energy is chilled, but I did find that I needed a little scripture or something to keep me going towards the end. Thank alo and Calvin !!
16.10.22: im back after a year. 45mins just passed by. I am sweating even in aircon room. Dripping from my forehead. Calvin is calm and very clear each step, hence it is easier to follow. The core work is power.

I've done sooooo many online yoga classes now and this is by far the best. I know this is just a subjective opinion, but really - not too much talking (female teachers tend to do that A LOT :D) and really was worth calling POWER vinyasa. Thank you Alo and Calvin! Would try this again! Would have love to be in that class live - just YASSS!!!!
For me personally, it's super hard when there's so much instruction. I always worry if I really feel my inner thighs moving towards each other etc. and in the end I spend the whole class thinking about wheter I do it right or not 🤯. This makes yoga so complicated. Especially I sometimes struggle w left/right and end up confusing them 😅. But the class itself is great 👍🏼
@@neelampatel2166 each to their own. I prefer this to constant invasion of my brain with phrases like "honour your body" "Have gratitude" "set your intention' Don't judge" yada yada. I just want to focus on my body and the breath and this was just what i needed.
Calvin is very precise with his instructions, great short class when time is limited .
