All I can say is Ichinose san work will always felt aesthetically rounded, colourful in arts & complete feelings. His take just hits the spot with 3rd, X & now rise.
While the director for world & his past works was awesome too, but I can somewhat feel his direct is much more towards realism, grounded & grungy like feel to the game. Also a never ending feel on his takes.
Wishing that both directors will get the moment to collab for future titles
MH always has a good amount of free DLC
I do prefer the way they used to handle it though

Rise and Sunbreak just makes me wish they'll recreate more old maps for modern games, because I had fun exploring the Sandy Plains, Flooded Forest, and the Jungle in a new form for the first time. (also the Sandy Plains was one of my all-time favorite maps, lol)
It is really cool to see how they can revitalize the older maps to more modern standards, as a lot of the older maps were very flat. It'd definitely be cool to see them do it again at some point, probably won't in Wilds though. As I get the impression Wilds will go with the World approach, a frontier in a still little explored land. But I could definitely seem them doing it again in a future installment.

They totally ignored clutch claw in the world/iceborne interview. Yet, for this one they talk about wirebugs. For being such a game changer, they know clutch claw was a big mistake.
The director behind it also left the conpany for mobile games, so it's less likely they would invite him and let him credit his work.

Anyways...i enjoyed Rise and one of my fav bits was the monster intros (with the rakugo/singer??). I like The Crimson Glow, Aknosom, Harag! and of course Magnamalo and Malzeno Maximoff.

World was a good addition, but Rise wasn't my style. Doesn't have the core MH feel to it.
Looking forward to Wilds! Hoping it's a core MH addition to the series.

4:05 R.I.P. to Frontier & all, but I think a good way to remember it would be bringing back more frontier monsters, no? 😏
Rise/sunbreak was so good man. 1800 hrs on switch and honestly I’d still be playing regularly if I could transfer my save to pc. I think if they went a different direction with the weapon hit sound fx, wire fall was significantly toned down and goss/tetra/akno got subs then there’d be no question about it being my favorite entry. That being said the game does soooo much good I can’t help but love it
I really hope they tone down a bit on the cosmetic DLCs and put them back in the game as quest rewards...
Rise/subreak is amazing, i love the gameplay and story, thank you capcom and especially the monster hunter development team
I didn't even think Khezu was yokai based until today.
We absolutely need to get Espinas back along with more frontier monsters in Wilds! My big hope is Berukyurosu
Beru was such a horrible fight compared to Dora in actuality, I hope they introduce Rukodiora or Odi first, as Astalos overlaps with Beru quite a bit visually.
( Context : before they added Tonfas and Magnet Spikes and proceeds to completely break game balance when they were running out of subscribers )

while mh world looks better as a whole, i think the maps in rise/sunbreak were SO much more interesting to explore
I love that they are monster throwbacks from previous games. Monster hunter 3U was the first game I played and I would love to be tormented again by Giginox! Also I kinda miss aquatic battles even though they were over the top

I wasn't a big fan of Rise, but Sunbreaks improvements easily made it my favourite 5th gen game
