I would definitely want these if I could read books or if it can zoom my vision in so I could see things closer and also if it’s like the glasses from endgame I would love that
I would like to be able to read ebooks on my AR glasses. I would buy them today if they were available at a reasonable price, especially if they included prescription correction, and/or zoom features.
I expect the price point will stay low, but you will need a phone for linking it. I think if they can correct vision and give you night vision everyone will wear them.
I mean... as long as sensitive data is kept private (bank details, health info, addresses) I don't care if people can know what my name is... maybe keep surnames hidden at least. Maybe we can just set it to an online handle or something instead. Then again Apple are not fools. There would certainly be a way to mask your identity from other users so your name would just be ??? or something.
I'd say 5 to 10yrs away until Augmented Reality becomes an effective product worth selling. I'd also mention ppl now, are still having a difficult time absorbing the availability of todays high tech. I'm only seeing another planned obsolescent gadget that's likely made for the sole purpose to increase User Data.
Here's the thing about the price though. It's rumored that the iPhone will be doing most of the heavy lifting for the glasses which is why they can make the glasses look like normal glasses instead of these ugly cyberpunk AR glasses that exist out there. Those glasses have its processor and all that stuff built into them which is why they're so big and ugly. So if the Apple glasses are really just responsible for your eyes seeing the AR stuff and its own power and then wirelessly connect to a iphone that's essentially all the processing power then they really shouldn't be over a 1000$ in my opinion

I'd imagine the glasses would be interfering w/ your ability to take the exam. It's usage will definitely be different if it relies on your eyesight.

I'd say $1,799 or $1,899 if they bundle it with the current pricing of the iphones. Definitely not a cheap purchase for a 'MAYBE' product.
