The vocabulary activities and assessment ideas provided are certainly useful to develop learner autonomy.
Putting instructions upside down is one of the most helpful things I've seen in a long time. I think it could be enormously effective for when students read each other's work. They often rush it and miss out on the opportunity to give feedback and find errors together.
