Soundgarden riff -Gibson SG

Have 2 1960 cabs bought at different times . One was new one was used , I have never removed the backs to see what 8 speakers that I own and played through for years and have no idea what they are . They sound great..... for all I know they could be loaded with radio shack
Great comparison of all speakers! Exactly the way it should be done. EVERYTHING being equal (thank you for that) the G12EVH stole the show. I have an EVH 5150 III 2X12 Combo 50w. I also have the stand alone 2X12 EVH cab that has the G12H Anniversary speakers. Bought a 4x12 EVH cab and guess what? Immediately swapped out the stock speakers for the G12EVH's and couldn't be happier. The difference (as your clip shows) is incredible.The stock speakers were missing low end, to much shrieking highs.... EAR PIERCING highs that drove me crazy. Not anymore. I don't care what lable is on the back of the EVH Speakers,they kick ass! Vintage 30 is a close second! The G12T-75 should be stopped at all costs. That thing sucks eggs.
I'll take the V30....but that wouldn't be a totally fair statement...I own a Marshall 1960AV that has four of them...so I already chose them. haha. Great comparison, proves I made the right choice!

G12 EVH, they sound geat in the 4x12, thought they sounded best hear. The Annies are interesting.
Vintage 30 sounds best for both to my ear.
EVH for the VH riff, G1275 for Soundgarden

Rivera ...thanks for the comparison. BTW ...the EVH is 25 watts ....NOT 20 watts. Yes, the label says 20 watts ...but it is ...25 watts, per celestion. Some say it is a relabeled Heritage G12M ...it is not. It IS an England made G12M style greenback tweeked by EVH. Both the Heritage G12M and the G12 EVH share the same sensitivity rating of 96db, but the EVH is 25 watts and has a slightly "wider" midrange and a tiny bit more "composure" in the the bass. The reissue chinese greenback sensitivity is 98 db and is slightly more aggressive and brighter than both. My preference is the EVH ...for the slightly wider midrange band and that little extra composure. Rock on.
JetStream EL34 Umm...the Heritage G12M IS made in the U.K. Not China like the reissue. And according to Celestion themselves. The EVH IS a Heritage G12M with the EVH sticker. Write them like I did and they’ll tell you. But you are correct in one thing, the EVH is a KILLER speaker.
Frequency response graphs on the Celestion website show EVH and G12m Heritage are identical

Thanks for the presentation 💜👍😉. The T75 is an classy speaker, it has that chimney chime ;-). Then Vintage 30 has that silky softness and G12 H is aggressive then EVH is mild "n"nice. I want them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍
The newer T75's don't have the reputation for sound that the old ones do.
Yes, true, as with generally all Audio equipment older is better.... Only TV sets are better nowadays.... By far. Power of a speaker is ability to take heat, dissipate it, and when coil is fragile it will not take much power/current so it will be quieter or burn. As for sound I like putting some grease on inside suspension around coil, it makes the whole vibrating cone a little softer, more sensitive and deeper sounding. Their is no best sound, all depends on mix, application, style function of tracks. But liking or disliking sound when playing is important, inspiring. Much of sound can be corrected while mixing with eq, compression, exciter though..

EVH if you like a scooped sound. G12H 30 70th Anniversary, if you like a brighter, more defined sound. Vintage 30 sounds like there's sand on the cone. G-75 sounds like there's a rag on the cone.

Welp, it certainly sounds like the G12H-30 Anniversary are the way to go for me. Maybe picking up that EVH 2x12 is the way to go for me.
I'm considering mixing two of those in my vintage 30 4x12 cabinet.
IT sounds to me like in between the EVH/Greenback and a V30? lol think about it.. its like the baby of both..

Anniversary sounded to the best to my ears. Then V30 or EVH, the g75 was not good in my opinion in this particular test.

That v30 SOUNDS LIKE ASS!!!!....whats all the hype about?....I dont own anything EVH..No fan boy here..But it seems anything that has that Damn EVH logo IS THE TOP OF THE GAME...I love my Gibson Les Paul and Dean ML,I dont need a Wolfgang..Played a few AWESOME guitars...It seems that I over Paid for my Mesa Dual rec when I hear the 5150 heads...Now the speakers too...EDDIE!!!....YOU WIN ..I give..
I bought a new v30, and a new k100... both chinese. My british T75s absolutely blow them away... these v30 and g75s in here have that new chine celestion sound... incredibly bity and fizzy... can't stand it!
Youre so right. Mostly it is the biggest Problem, that they use Chinese Versions for the Comparison. If you once would play a nearly 25 year old G12T-75 from UK - like I do - you never want something else. Period !
I'm new in T75 camp, but almost every demo with the older G12T blows me away! Would you mix it with any other speaker in 4x12 or leave intact?

The level should be compensated because the t75 is at the bottom and the 70th sounds so loud as it pushes different frequencies as well.

EVH are the best, They sound pretty close to Greenbacks
The problem with this video is that the amp he uses has a lot to do with it if you use 5150 3 then there will be a difference.
Interesting… the G12T-75 was the worst with the Van Halen riff, and by far the best with the Soundgarden riff. That is exactly the right sound!
G12T-75 sounds like death! Horrible!
The 70th sounds like a brighter/more open V30. Very cool indeed!
I hate the t-75s
I believe that the V30 you're hearing here is the Chinese model, which is nowhere near the same as the one of English origin. Way fizzier, and compressed, with a heap of mud. The proper V30 is even more open than the G12H30 Anniversary, but certainly not as bright.
kmW Sorry if you misunderstood me: I’ve been using V30s for decades! I like them. But the 70th seems brighter in this video. Both great speakers. But I will ALWAYS think that the T75 sounds awful.
I think 2 sounds kinda 70-80 and 4 sounds kinda Peavey Sheffield. I have an Orange semi-open back with that combo and I wouldn't let it go. The Sheffield is Goth, dark and broody and quieter. The 70-80 is bright and louder. Makes an excellent 2x12 wired in parallel at 16 ohms each.
