Well im on my 3rd Infiniti, had an M56, a Q50 and now a q60. All over 400 HP, very fast, very comfortable. great ride and handling. Super reliability, absolutely fantastic dealership treatment. I love this brand. Very happy with all 3 of them. Compared to Lexus and the german cars you get more value with the Infiniti. Sad that they dont sell as well as the other brands, but i have found most people are mindless sheep who buy what everyone does so that might explain it. The only real knock would be the infotainment system is old compared to the competition, but I find the only infotainment that matters in a car is controlled by my right foot. And by that standard my Q60 is best in class.
Man you are so right! 😂 mindless sheep for sure! Im so sick of dodge diesels, camerys, tacomas and freakin 4 runners!!! Lol. I love my 08 M45 Sport and also love how people dont know what it is!!! Throws people off when they hear my V8!! Lol. Total sleeper car!!👍
The Infiniti FX was what got me into Infiniti. It was in a class of its own in 2003. Nowadays Alfa Romeo and Masaratti have sport SUVs. BMW was the first, but not this wild.
Old Infiniti's are the best things ever. FX35, G35, M45, Q45, QX56, some of the better cars in existence. My opinion, of course. You can feel how you feel.
Yeah! My brother's FX35 was going strong through 200,000 miles but he put the wrong gas in, so it developed a rod knock. Unfortunate, but fortunately it is easy to replace the engine.
Loved this history lesson love my 2017 QX50. The VQ HR 3.7L, 325 hp and rear wheel biased awd is a thing of beauty. I can't do the new cvt models, just can't.
Had a 2007 FX35, and now have an FX50. Their drive-trains and over capabilities I'd say are among the best, with Japanese reliability and repair prices.
I still have my 2009 FX35 and she's beautiful. 180k miles. Dont plan to get rid of it unless it completely falls apart. Aesthetically it doesn't age and I love that.
Had 2 g35 x and an xs both were 2008 super reliable cars and enjoyed driving them so much i miss them. Now after few years i might get back into the boat with m37x this vehicle been on my radar for so long can’t wait to own one. Calgary Alberta here 😃
Scotty.. I use to see your vids and just skim through them not giving them a chance. Now with all this time on my hands I watch from beginning to end and they are the best!
Ive owned 4 cars in my driving days, 2 were infiniti, I had an early production G35 Sedan that I loved and Drove it for 12 years till I spent more than $1,200 trying to get the A/C fixed, the part the dealer said would fix it was not available, I scoured the internet and finally found one, paid the cash to get it installed, and less than 10 mins of driving, and no air, so id tried the last shot repair and unf it was time to let go of my dream car from 2003... id put over 200k miles on it with no real major issues beyond the A/C, I replaced it with a 2014 QX70, which I still own, the sad part is Infiniti let the modelgo without much of a tech upgrade, so no blind spot monitoring, remote start, cooled seats ( was available on 1 configuration sadly with black on black colors, which doesnt deal well with summer temps of 90+ for months) anywho, unless they really come back with something good, my QX will prob be my last Infiniti and allready worried about parts that became and issue with My G35... They have Discontinued the G37C, the Q70, the QX70, and so far beyond the Q50, Q60, or the QX80 (beyond my budget even used) and with moving away from performance, style, tech, and using more CVTs, its not looking good for Infiniti...
07' G35 6spd coupe, pearl white with only 56k on her. Always garaged since day one. Runs like the first day i bought it. First gens going to be a classic some day. Yep.
I have a 2017 Qx 70 and I really like it, was disappointed that they no longer make it; however, I just watched a vid on here that in 2022, supposedly its coming back...so fingers crossed, we'll see.
I've had/have 3 Infiniti's.. the 03 M45 v8, the 08 FX35 and the 2012 M56s The FX and M56 are my current daily drivers and I love the brand. The cars are still unique, turn plenty heads and performance/durability wise fits all of my needs.
@@Nestle245 it handles surprisingly well for anr SUV. Very smooth ride.. cornering is better than I would expect. It sits a little lower than the normal SUV so that definitely helps. But overall very nice ride
I love my 2012 QX56. I've had to do a little wrenching on it and had to chase down a couple of gremlins. However, it's just been better than the Chevy and RAM 1500s I've had previously.
CORRECTION; @8:34 In 1985 Nissans V6 was the VG series engine, NOT the VQ. VQ series V6's were introduced in the mid 1990's with the 1995 Nissan Maxima, then the 350z (eventually all N. American market V6 Nissans would have a VQ series engine).
It's FX35 not FX34. Infiniti has suffered in slow sales because they traded Sport Luxury for Economy Luxury. The change to smaller engines and CVT Transmission to improve economy caused them to lose sales. The only cars that still are considered Sport Luxury are the Q50 and Q60 because of the larger turbo engines and the 7 Speed Transmission. They need to make available the 3.0 L Turbo V6 and 7 speed Transmission in all of their vehicles. I own a 20th Anniversary G37XS Sedan and a 2012 FX50S, which are both rare vehicles.
Hey Scotty, the first gen Qx4 was a VG33 powered 3.3liter v6 same as the Nissan Pathfinder of that year. Then in 2001 is when the VQ35de took place until 2004. It wasn’t until 2005 when the VQ40 V6 was offered in the Nissan Pathfinder as well as the Vk56 5.6 V8 as a option that is mentioned starting model year 2008 :)
My G37X coupe is both a looker and well running quick car. At 102k miles and still looks fast at a red light. Treat the VQ37 engine well and it’ll reward you for many many miles of snappy fun driving.
Thank You! About time someone mentioned the forgotten sport suv with the very rare 5.0 390 h.p. Engine!!! That thing was very quick for a suv and the time ! 2009!!👍
Infiniti should’ve chased the luxury EV market way back in 2012 with the debut of their LE concept. Nissan had the Leaf and were far ahead in BEV technology. Too little too late. Hoping they can turn around and be competitive again.
First car was an infiniti i30 1999, obtained in 2007. Bid farewell to it in 2015 and massively regret that. Even with having to replace the transmission once and a catalytic converter, it was still a fantastic car for getting those years out of it second-hand.

I owned a 03 I35. Awesome car. Heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and a sun shade for the rear window. Currently have a 17 QX50, car is fast and unreal handling.
He totally skipped over the I 35, which is basically a high-end Maxima. I currently drive a 2004 with only 80000 miles on it, It was owned by an old man who never drove it! I get comments on it every day!
"To infinity and beyond"! Buzz Light Year Why, oh why do these car manufactures insist on making electrics to look exactly like the old gassers? No! I want my electric to look exactly like the Old School VW, Westfalia camper vans. complete, with pop top, rear seat that folds down to a bed, with ice box, sink w/running water, closet and and cuby holds everywhere. Make it all wheel drive with great ground clearance, so I can use it as a bug-out vehicle when SHTF. I sold my Westfalia and 74 bug (one owner, me) back in 1997 and I have missed them both ever since. Scotty, great video! Thank you
I'm currently leasing the 2021 QX80 Sensory 4WD with advanced technology, and without it, I wouldn't survive winter, especially when I have to work on a snow day. Yeah it's outdated, but at least it's reliable, and is based off the Nissan Patrol and Nissan Armada.
The QX4 Never offered the 5.6L V8 though. That didn't come out until the QX-56. Also when you mentioned the G-35 you showed the picture of the I-35 and the M-45 you displayed the photo of the Q-45 and they never offered AWD in those models.
I'm waiting to see what happens when people figure out that we need to generate and distribute about five times as much electricity as we now do in order to support a switch from internal combustion to electric vehicles.
6:43 Scotty the Qx4 had a 3.5L V6** 🤦♂️ The QX56 is what had the 5.6L V8 and 9,000 lbs of towing capacity, you switched em up.. Also at 7:48 It’s called the QX56 and was released in 2005.
Current owner of an Infiniti Qx70 LIMITED in Pearl White. 85k Miles. I plan to push this car 20 years and push into the electric era as one of the relics as i'm thinking electric cars will slowly take over. Best part is I have Chevy for my routine runs so the SUV only gets highway miles. I love this car every day more and more.
Content and presentation is great Scotty, however, @7:06, that is an I35 not a G35. Also the QX4 had a 3.3L V6 not a 5.6L V8 EDIT: Not to mention that picture you showed is a Q45 not an M45!
The V6 infiniti’s casually go to 180-200k if maintained well. Their reliability is definitely up there. The biggest issue is cheap ricer kids beating the hell out of em and not maintaining them at all
I had a 05 g35 sedan with 184,000 miles on the dash . It was Still running great no issues could’ve had 60k+ more miles with it, but sadly it was totaled by a driver that took the red light . 😥
6:37 QX4 never offered with a V8 engine. It had a V6 and the same mechanicals as the Nissan Pathfinder. 7:05 information about the G35 but the picture of Infiniti I30. 7:18 information about the M45 but picture of the Q45. 7:37 you said half of the japanese cars sold in the US were Infiniti FX. I highly doubt that! What happened to the Corolla, Camry, Accord?!
This guy Scotty is full of it. I work at an Infiniti dealership and these vehicles are junk. Also Infiniti is NO where near producing an electric vehicle and the company is financially in trouble.
I love the Nissan brand. Back in the day. In my neighborhood gear heads would take old Datsun and swap rotory engines in them and drop them too the floor.

How are they had on these cars
6:40 No Scotty, the QX4 had a 3.3 liter V6 with 168-170 Hp and 196-200 lb ft torque depending on the year...while the QX56 V8 had those figures
Yeah, that QX4 was a "luxury" Nissan Pathfinder clone. Same V6 and most mechanical parts.
I knew someone saw that cuz I was bout 2 tell Scotty ain't no QX4 come with a V8...
And the 2000-2004 had the 3.5 DOHC 240 hp motor with 4soeed auto.
Was gonna point out the same
Thing. Wrong spec for the qx4.
@@smoketaylor2885 the QX4 sure as heck needed a V8
The Infiniti FX was what got me into Infiniti. It was in a class of its own in 2003. Nowadays Alfa Romeo and Masaratti have sport SUVs. BMW was the first, but not this wild.
Infiniti’s have been super reliable if maintained properly. The parts can be very expensive though.
Not with those transmissions!
@@OrdinaryKy the 7 speeds have been deemed Bulletproof and the reliability complaints on the CVT’s dropped significantly 2017-present.
@@OrdinaryKy what transmissions? They dont cvts dumb dumb! The 5 speed and 7 speed are extremely reliable!!
I miss my J30. That was a unique vehicle for its time.
Old Infiniti's are the best things ever. FX35, G35, M45, Q45, QX56, some of the better cars in existence. My opinion, of course. You can feel how you feel.
So true!!! My 08 M45 Sport is still going strong at 114,000 miles and absolutely everything still works on it!👍
Yeah! My brother's FX35 was going strong through 200,000 miles but he put the wrong gas in, so it developed a rod knock. Unfortunate, but fortunately it is easy to replace the engine.
🙌
Loved this history lesson love my 2017 QX50. The VQ HR 3.7L, 325 hp and rear wheel biased awd is a thing of beauty. I can't do the new cvt models, just can't.
you mean cvt transmissions lol
Legendary engine
Scotty you should have uploaded this an hour and a half ago when we knew who was going to win the Super Bowl.
Enjoyable documentary. Well done. Looking forward to seeing more.
Too bad he doesn't speak this way in his videos. He must down a few quaaludes before making these documentaries.
Had a 2007 FX35, and now have an FX50. Their drive-trains and over capabilities I'd say are among the best, with Japanese reliability and repair prices.
Just bought an 07 fx35 and love it
@@flappy420 We just got a 09 AWD and love it as well.

The 97 Qx4 never came with a 5.6L v8, it came with a 3.3L V6 that was found in the Nissan Pathfinder.
Scotty's losing it.
Actually the QX4 was a Pathfinder wearing a tuxedo. :-)
@@frankiecstrat correct, same 3.3L engine, a bit more interior luxury.
I personally think Infiniti is a great brand the the G35 coupe is a legend!!!
Love how INIFNITI’s technology innovation was highlighted. I love the brand since my g coupe and have a q60 now. I hope our future is bright.
its not . Atleast not for internal combustion vehicles
Calgary Alberta here 😃
Hey Scotty, I'm on my sixth Infiniti, and I would hate to see them go under. They are a great value for the money.
Scotty took the night off for his Superbowl party. The Bucs defense was outstanding!
Qx70 is a beast, l have one without any serious issues.
2016 QX70. Love it, 58K miles
In my opinion the Infiniti M/Q70 and the FX/QX70 were the best vehicles in the market for the price range
Infiniti is one of the top reliable cars. I owned the 2005 fx, sold it and now own the 2010 fx35.
The car part is very expensive but reliable.
7:15 that's the Q45, not the M45 , great car - premium version was super luxurious , laser cruise control , reclining rear seats, the works
I've had/have 3 Infiniti's.. the 03 M45 v8, the 08 FX35 and the 2012 M56s The FX and M56 are my current daily drivers and I love the brand. The cars are still unique, turn plenty heads and performance/durability wise fits all of my needs.
How does the FX handle? I hear it's like a heavier 350Z/G.
The g35 coupe is the coolest infinity
Hell yea
G37 coupe manual also
I like q50/q60 they are all nice cars
Q60
@@juniortelusma9731 why? Just curious.
Dang, that Horizon task force shown in the illustration at about 03:00 sure was *diverse* for a Japanese company!
I have a infiniti, 1st car I bought on my own! Still have it will never get rid of it!
Im still in love with my 08 Infiniti M45 Sport!!! Its been very reliable!👍
Just checked the 2021 Infinity lineup No electric or hybrids.
True, the last hybrid (and the only one) made was 2011+ M35h.
Thank you for sharing detailed knowledge 🙏
I kept my 2001 QX4 for 20 years. Loved it!
My G37X coupe is both a looker and well running quick car. At 102k miles and still looks fast at a red light. Treat the VQ37 engine well and it’ll reward you for many many miles of snappy fun driving.
Scotty- Your car Brand Documentaries are second to none!!!
OMG 0:45 My yellow '77 Corolla is back! Best car I ever owned, mostly because it was my first.
Don't forget about the best SUV ever made by Infiniti, the FX50
Thank You! About time someone mentioned the forgotten sport suv with the very rare 5.0 390 h.p. Engine!!! That thing was very quick for a suv and the time ! 2009!!👍
I am the proud owner of a 2017 infiniti qx60 AWD
I think the QX55 might be a replacement for the old FX-series/QX70
Had a 2004 FX35 and loved that thing to death.
Infiniti should’ve chased the luxury EV market way back in 2012 with the debut of their LE concept. Nissan had the Leaf and were far ahead in BEV technology. Too little too late. Hoping they can turn around and be competitive again.
I can hear Scott's arms flying around
First car was an infiniti i30 1999, obtained in 2007. Bid farewell to it in 2015 and massively regret that. Even with having to replace the transmission once and a catalytic converter, it was still a fantastic car for getting those years out of it second-hand.
at least you got 8 yrs of driving pleasure
Scotty I live in Muscle Shoals Alabama I've run into a couple of people that have Toyota 4Runners they say they watched your video and you recommended them buying one Toyota needs to give you a new vehicle for advertising great job keep up the great work we need you to help us thank you
I owned a 03 I35. Awesome car. Heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and a sun shade for the rear window. Currently have a 17 QX50, car is fast and unreal handling.
I just got a 2017 Qx50, was a little worried by all of scottys videos.. how's it treating you so far??
He totally skipped over the I 35, which is basically a high-end Maxima. I currently drive a 2004 with only 80000 miles on it, It was owned by an old man who never drove it! I get comments on it every day!
"To infinity and beyond"! Buzz Light Year
Why, oh why do these car manufactures insist on making electrics to look exactly like the old gassers?
Thank you
I still have my 2005 FX35, 220k+ miles on it. It's a workhorse but I'm closely eying the 2022 QX55...
Owww. That’s why there’s v in their CVTs.
Very nice. Love these informative videos! I know it’s time consuming so thank you very much for taking the time.
Great narrating Scotty!!! 😎
The QX4 Never offered the 5.6L V8 though. That didn't come out until the QX-56. Also when you mentioned the G-35 you showed the picture of the I-35 and the M-45 you displayed the photo of the Q-45 and they never offered AWD in those models.
I really enjoy these documentaries Scotty. Nice work. 👍❤️🇨🇦
The g35 was REVOLUTIONARY.
Currently looking for a clean M37x/ Q70 AWD. Quality vehicle, solid performance, reliable and terrific design.
G35 coupe was the most popular car in my area for a while. They were damn nice cars.
80's Toyota Century is my favorite luxury car.
I'm waiting to see what happens when people figure out that we need to generate and distribute about five times as much electricity as we now do in order to support a switch from internal combustion to electric vehicles.
It is soooooo putting the cart before the horse. Don't see many, at all, Tesla's driving from So Cal to Vegas. Because they won't make it!
6:43 Scotty the Qx4 had a 3.5L V6** 🤦♂️ The QX56 is what had the 5.6L V8 and 9,000 lbs of towing capacity, you switched em up.. Also at 7:48 It’s called the QX56 and was released in 2005.
Infiniti FX 50s. TOTAL beast
I’m still on the fence about buying a used Q50.The Lexus Is 250 or Is 350 have been catching my attention lately
Also the QX4 had a 3.3L V6 not a 5.6L V8
EDIT: Not to mention that picture you showed is a Q45 not an M45!
What’s the verdict on a 17-18’ QX-80???
TIA
The V6 infiniti’s casually go to 180-200k if maintained well. Their reliability is definitely up there. The biggest issue is cheap ricer kids beating the hell out of em and not maintaining them at all
I had a 05 g35 sedan with 184,000 miles on the dash . It was Still running great no issues could’ve had 60k+ more miles with it, but sadly it was totaled by a driver that took the red light . 😥
Interesting story. Thanks for putting them together.
I saw an Infiniti j30 today, first time in probably a decade. I see Lexus ES300's from the 90's, almost every day.
Awesome video! Love your narrating!
Scotty! I enjoy your show but the QX4 does not have the 5.6 liter! It has the 3.5 👍😌
3.3L on first model then 3.5L
Love Infinitis. I have g35 coupe, had for 5 years and sold g37 coupe and then bought fx35
Wow, I never knew there was an FX34 😳
Haha, they never was, Scotty got it wrong. FX35 "6Cyl" and FX45 "8Cyl" Modes only.
What happened to the Corolla, Camry, Accord?!
he said fx34 instead of fx35
This guy Scotty is full of it. I work at an Infiniti dealership and these vehicles are junk.
Also Infiniti is NO where near producing an electric vehicle and the company is financially in trouble.
@@frankiecstrat I can't agree, the VQ engines are very reliable

How’s that apparent 5.6 lmao
Nice well balanced video with content. Scotty you are like wine!
QX 4 didn't have a v8 and it was made in Japan. 1st model had a 3.3 liter then a revised model (2000) had the 3.5liter and they had a 4speed auto.
I learned so many fun facts because of this video. Nice job!
I love the Nissan brand. Back in the day. In my neighborhood gear heads would take old Datsun and swap rotory engines in them and drop them too the floor.
