theres a lot of fish in the brandywine. in the tidal portions there are Tiger Musky. anywhere in the river theres smallies, rock bass, sun fish, fall fish, the usual stuff. if you go a bit north of the city, (around Hagley Museum) the water is a lot cleaner. also, they have removed a bunch of dams in the river and theres shad in there now too.
I live in delco right down the road from the state line, yes $26 for license and trout stamp, definitely dirt cheap! I get my de license more for down the beach and crabbing but there are some hidden gems in de that are great for fishing. Definitely more ponds then creeks
Come down and try White Clay Creek. Very similar to Chester creek. I live in Newark right on the Christina by Rittenhouse park. Creek walking is great down here by me. If you come down this way I can put you on a few good spots. You’ve been a great influence getting me back out and fishing the creeks hard. Can’t thank you enough for all your vids
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words! I'm glad to hear the channel has helped you get back into creek fishing, that is what it's all about. I appreciate the tip! Funny enough White Clary was the next stream I had on my list to visit in Delaware. What kind of fish are in it? It looks awesome!
White Clay is good for smallmouth. Rock bass, green sunfish and pumpkinseed, and of course tons of redbreast. Little late for trout, but there maybe a few still hanging on. Good luck, maybe we’ll see you out there.
Delaware especially north Wilmington has a lot of hidden places to fish.i like your channel and big mouth bass are in abundance. Pike, black crappies you'd be surprised it's off the beaten path but normally My first I get a decent big mouth. Pike little bit harder but they're here. Probably 10 minutes away from rear fishing on the Brandywine
That is awesome! I appreciate you checking out the channel. I need to do some more Delaware videos. I'll have to spend more time down there and see if I can find some great spots. I have never caught a pike but have always wanted to!
I live in PA.There used to be a time when it wasn't disgusting to swim in.Not trying to give my old age, my father and I used to fish at Brandywine creek so many years ago.
Hey dude, I live right there, come on back and throw some swimbaits or top water. They got Muskie right where u where u we’re fishing believe it or not. Check it out on UA-cam I’m sure there are other videos on that.
That's awesome! It definitely looked like it had potential. I've also heard there are snakehead there so I'll have to come back with some of my heavier tackle! I appreciate the tip and thanks for checking out the video!
i literally had someone catch a monster snakehead right in front of me below the city dam. every time i go, someone has at least 3 snakeheads that they are taking home
I always appreciate tips. I'm trying to do more Delaware Fishing this year so if you feel like sharing I'm all ears. You can post them here or dm me on instagram if you want to share. I appreciate you checking out the video!
Haha I guess I should have explained that better. I had a great time fishing but I review a bunch of different parks, creeks and rivers. On this particular day I didn't catch as many fish I would expect to given the time of year and didn't catch anything of any impressive size. I had fun, I enjoyed my day, but I didn't feel it was a great day of fishing.
I wouldn't say complaining but I did want to call out the fact I wasn't catching or even seeing large fish. (With the exception of carp) I also used larger lures in hopes of catching some larger fish but I didn't bump into any. Maybe they weren't there maybe they didn't want my lure but I don't show every cast in my videos. Since I didn't catch anything on my bigger lures I didn't think it made sense to include those lures.
I was raised in DE.fished the Brandywine my hole life big smally an trout. Your fishing in the wrong spot for bigger fish. You need to be fishing in beaver valley.

Thanks for checking out the video! And I completely agree if you go north the water gets pretty clean.

I was shocked how cheap it was lol. That's what I heard though. I have a few ponds marked that I would like to get out to this summer!
Come down and try White Clay Creek.

Great tip on holding the fish over water when catch and release.
Thank you! I try to give some positive fish care tips that I've learned over the years. I appreciate you checking out the video!
Looking like a unit
😂😂😂😂😂
Great video! Gonna check out Delaware.
That carp footage was seriously awesome!!! Great stuff 👍
Thank you! I don't think I've em ever seen so many carp in one place!

It's a shame that it is as polluted as it is now! It's a nice creek I hope it gets cleaner in the future!
@@delconashvillelineyou can wade and swim as long as you go above the city limits. Around and below the zoo is a tough area.

I take my 16" tracker up there and catch tiger muskie but I put in at Delaware City
That is sick! I've never caught a muskie. I don't even think I've seen what but they look like amazing fish. Thanks for checking out the video!
Damn, how small are you to fit in a 16 inch Tracker? Didn’t even know they made them!!!
Sorry, couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be a smart ass.😁👍🏼
That waterfall has giant snakeheads I caught a 14 pounder there and there’s stripers occasionally IDEK how they get in there but I caught one before
That's sick! I was there about a month ago and saw one but it didn't bite. I appreciate you checking out the video!

@@LouisMarziotti that's sick! I actually went back earlier this year with my buddy but we didn't catch much at all.

Sees a muskrat swimming, catches a ton of fish and calls it a bad day fishing. I don’t get it.

Go upstream from the city and it’s much nicer.
I'll have to try that next time! Thanks for checking out the video!
You didn't see any Muskie
I didn't but I have heard stories of people catching them here. I plan to give this spot another try soon. I appreciate you checking out the video!
Of course the water is disgusting. It's Delaware.
Haha I can not endorse this comment as I am now a Delaware fisherman
Because of Pennsylvania
The official Delaware state fish is the Largemouth Biden, otherwise known as the Slo Mo Joe! 😁
Great channel. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Lol I have definitely hit some of the traffic jams when he is in town.
Complaining the entire time about catching small fish with a 5ft rod and tiny bait
