Great tutorial...I have a 2020 Hyundai Elantra GT N Line, I want to do this upgrade, is it the same as a veloster turbo? And if so does this change the sound?
Aren’t the clamps rated for 15-25 in-lbs… the clamps i use on a G280 (Gulfstream plane) generator cooling duct is 18 in-lb. Using an electric ratchet and may cause someone watching your video to damage their clamp. Always use a torque wrench and torq spec.
Agreed, I think these clamps are 35 inch lbs. Sadly, I have been doing this for 35 + years and know my equipment very well. Next, very few people are going to have an inch lb torque wrench handy, so the German spec of good and tight will have to suffice for most people.
you guys realize that the dimensions of that pipe in the inside are the same as the factory one? only difference is the exterior, but the inside where the flow happens is the same, so think for a moment and use your head.
I did, and what I cannot explain is the 10 to 15 WHP gains every time we install one of these and put it on the dyno. Don't get me wrong, it shouldn't make any additional HP or TQ on the dyno... literally lost a bet because of this part. I bet lunch to the shop guys that it wouldn't make any difference. It did, so I told the shop guys take the car home, let the ECU adapt and bring it back tomorrow. Sure as shit, it still made the same power. So, with it sitting on the dyno, we swapped back to the stock pipe... and sure as shit it lost power. So, I did use my head but the $50k piece of equipment that measures the power output of parts that get installed told me that my head was wrong.
Tork Motorsports duh. 😂 I saw “delete” and I thought it was for muffler delete. Maybe if I actually watched the video it probably would’ve given me that info. Oops. Or the title 🤦🏼♂️
Use hairspray as a lubricant on inlet hoses. It dries tacky to hold them in place but still allows them to slide off for maintenance.
Awesome.... Already received mine thanks for the tutorial. I feel more confident doing it myself
Hopefully you got the pipe from us :)
@@TorkMotorsports yessir. Tork pipe. Super shorty and hks plugs... Saving up for stage 1 for forte sx 1.6T. When's next sale ?
Does it void warranty

Yeah, I got a 2019 N line too - I want to do this too.
Not much change in sound and yes, they are similar to the Veloster Turbo.
Sorry for the very very late question, but does it fit a 2021 sonata sel plus (1.6t)? Does it even have a resonator in the intercooler?
I think it does, its up top I think.
@@TorkMotorsports I will check, cause I want to replace it if it does! Have been looking around but not been successful in finding it…
Would I need to put my car on jack stands or ramps if I don’t have car lift
Yes, you cannot access this without the car lifted up a bit.
Are your tunes safe for Canadians ? 😂our gas is different and not being able to meet in person would that be a problem ?
Yes, we have customized tunes for other world market fuels.
Just installed one of these on my 2020 forte GT and have a catch can on order. What would be the next best bang for my buck on the 1.6T?
The tune, will blow your mind.
Get a tune, you will not be disappointed.
I assume this is located towards the front of the vehicle?
I heard this little guy really improved the throttle lag in the forte gt does anyone know if it does :)?
It does.
I assume this wouldn’t cause your check engine light to come on would it?
It will not.
WHAT does this pipe do? why does it give more horsepower? makes sound louder too?
More power and I cannot tell if its any louder.
Will it able to pass a smog test with this upgrade?
Yes
hey, do you guys ship to New Delhi, India?
Yes
Even easier on a tucson as the res is up top
"Proven time and time again on the dyno..." are those before and after dyno pulls available on your website? Thx
Yes they are, thank you.
Optima 1.6? What year had 1.6 turbo? I have a 2017 and it's a 2.0 turbo.
lmgtfy.com/?q=What+year+Optima+had+the+1.6+turbo
@@TorkMotorsports In that case, do you have it for the 2.0 Turbo Optima 2012?
Would you say it's better or no different to replace the entire thing with aluminium piping?
I've had the Tork pipe on forever with no problems👍
Because we have tested the whole pipe, and it doesn't make more power by replacing the whole thing.

I swapped mine and my original resonator looked to have oil in it. Is that normal?
Yes, time to get an oil catch can.
Does it work with a 2017 hyundai elantra sport 1.6 turbo?
Yes, just about every 1.6 turbo engine has this resonator.
2018 Kia Soul ! also ???
Yes, but I think the Soul had the pipe is a slightly different location, but similar.
10-15 hp with tuning for it or without?
With no tuning, which surprised me, so much that we tested it multiple times on multiple cars.
what is the size of the tube diameter and length??
Thanks
Go pull your OEM unit out and measure it, lol.
Will doing this void the warranty in any way on a new car?
dumb question, your car breaks put the old one back on lol.
To my knowledge, no.
Just curious... How does this add 15hp? Genuine curiosity.
I have to assume it straightens the air flow, thus its removing a restriction.
Whats the diameter of the pipe?
2 inches

😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️
How bout 2.4 n/a?
NA engines do not have intercoolers or turbo's on them, so this wouldn't be on that application.

so they wanted it to be quiter wtf
oil? really dude?
Needs a catch can
