Thanks for the message Sam! That road should hold up. You did a great job on it. Once you get the pipe in it should drain better and may even dry out. Be Safe Out There and GOD BLESS!
What a great foundation for a long lasting road. Rain and snow will not break this base and it will give sure traction and stability for years to come. Excellent example of Christ as our foundation. Well spoken, Sam.
Good video, thank you Sam ! I really like this place in the countryside. You delivered a lot of gravel for this job. After that, you put thinner gravel on top or it stays with the big one ? 5:40 Original view, camera on Mack’s dumpster ?! Finally now there are 2 dogs on your construction sites, Diesel and a Bulldog with the Mack !
Thanks Nicolas! This is definitely a nice place in the country. Next will be a couple feet of compacted dirt/rock to raise the elevation of the road and then small rock for the driving surface. The bulldog came first a visit that day…
Amen Brother! Thank you for the word of God's message of truth. You always touch on the truth with your messages. God bless you. Keep up the good work and videos! Tony

I found you through Canada Brush Control, he recommended your channel in his video. Since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your channel and your work!
Thank you so much for the awesome work you do by yourself brother and the powerful message. Sir, you do have the spirit of Elijah working hard and doing all you by your own strength. Like Elijah ran 13 miles at the age of 80. May The Lord Jesus Bless you always.
Hi Sam, haven't looked at your videos in a while. Realize I miss them. 🙂So funny, Exactly when I asked myself I wonder why he didn't use fabric you answered the question. 👍
Hey Sam, another great video, and great message! I shared your channel with my father today who is 77 years old and loves watching excavation videos as that is what he has done his whole life. He was so happy to see that you put a positive message in all your videos. Keep up the good work, brother! 👍🏻

Great and timely messages too! Thanks for sharing your faith and the Word! If you ever move to the frozen tundra of northern Wisconsin let me know. God bless you Sam!!!
Hey David, I appreciate that and welcome to the channel. I definitely don’t like taking short cuts. They end up costing more in the end. Glad you are enjoying the messages in the videos! I would say y’all have some very chilly weather there in Wisconsin… 🥶 ❄️
The last few winters you’d be correct. However this winter has been well above average with temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s. Even a few days in the 60’s. Any snow we’ve gotten has lasted only a few days, week at most. We have had a few cold days but nothing to complain about. Could get used to this weather. Much can accomplished when not plowing snow or hibernating. Hallelujah!!!
As your were giving your message the song came to mind- On Christ the solid rock i stand all other ground is sinking sand. I was actually singing it to myself. Thank you for the videos and messages at the end. Hats off to ya from Middle Tn
Thanks for the video Sam well done with the road building, time will tell if it works. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed ❤️❤️.
I may have missed this if its on another video but how do you measure amounts of material as i feel basic square meter measurements wouldnt work to well with this job
Hey. Looks like you had a good week. Got some headway made on a project you have been waiting for a chance to get some headway made. I have had to build some roads into some tough places to get transmission line equipment into build new transmission structures after tornados taken them out. We do not always remove bad soil. We put the Geo-fabric down them bring the rip-rap in a 2' lift. Then, we mix 57 stone in as we go with the rip-rap. It it fills the voids and locks it together well. By doing this, we are able to make the rip-rap loads go farther and get us farther. I have management tell me you will never get a road through there. Then they come back and are amazed Now some places we have to put the Geo-fabric down and then as much as 8' of rip-rap and 57 stone. But any way, keep building those strong fountains for your customers and with God through your messages, my friend. Have a good weekend.
Thanks Jaime! I can imagine y’all had some difficult places to build roads. Nothing like a good challenge! An 8’ deep rip rap road would be cool to build… God Bless
@tristardiggin Yes, when the material invoices came in, my management said they were going to name the road we built Jamie's Road. I said, "Why are you going to do that. To remember you, bye. Because if I built one that cost that much in materials again, you will not be around much longer. They were just kidding, though. That job was after a tornado went do a 500 line and also hit the power plant. The tornado destroyed eight 500 line structures and then wiped out the cooling towers at the power plant. Yes, I like challenging jobs. Now, we have been forced to use wooden truck mats instead of Geo-fabric and rock. They are reusable and it doesn't distrubuted the ground or wetlands. But in some cases , we have to use all three. Hope you and your family have a good weekend. One other thing I'm excited about tomorrow, Sam. I will be baptizing one of the youth in my high school boys' youth group tomorrow. It has been a challenge helping this youth man grow in his faith and accept God into his heart as his Lord and savior. But he has finally opened up his heart and accepted him. Take care, brother.
@@JamieCoursey-f3t yup, I’m sure they looked hard at that! 😳 That is awesome that the young man is being baptized. That is cool to hear and I’m sure you are excited about it! God Bless
I love that you keep the religious portion as its own segment. People who believe will watch it, people who don’t believe might start thinking with out it feeling forced. You’re doing great work in both aspects.
Thanks for explaining why you chose not to use geotextile under the rip rap, makes total sense. Cant wait to see how this project turns out. Personally, I'm not religious but I can appreciate that your faith means a great deal to you and other viewers.
Hey Tippper, I appreciate that! It definitely helps to know why things are done a certain way. I appreciate what you said about the message at the end of the videos. Sam
Enjoyed the video and message brother! There ain’t any mud like that in west texas lol. We can do driveways for semi trucks less than 6” with nothing under the gravel lol
My experience with fabric is that it can bridge the loosest of earth with minimal use of rock product to make it firm. I'm guessing you may have significantly reduced the amount of rip rap needed with non-woven fabric laid down for a total thickness of a foot or so. I have used similar "rock bridges" before and then lay more fabric on top of the stone to make sure the voids don't get filled up with the material used to top the road. Appreciate your videos and messages!
I like that tailgate on the dump truck. Hauling concrete and rip rap has beat the dog wax out of my tailgate. That is some swampy soil for sure. I believe what you did will hold up good. May have to dress it up after all the building construction is finished, but that's normal no matter what. Thanks for the message. Occasionally, I need a little reminder about where my foundation is truly built when I get off the narrow path.
Right, that rip rap and especially concrete will destroy a tailgate. I was glad to find this truck with the lift gate for sure… Glad you enjoyed the message. I need a reminder pretty often too! God Bless
