Hello Sam, my name is Dave. Im glad i found your channel. Ive been a heavy equipment operator for 30 years now. My specialty is an Excavator. You're an inspiration with your talent and the words you speak. I came across your channel trying to learn all i can about the trimble earthworks gps system. I work for a big outfit here in Lexington Kentucky. I'm familiar with the system but there is a lot of things I need to learn on it. Im originally from the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia. I've been binge watching your videos. I told my wife I would love to go down and hang out with you and I said if that ever happened maybe I could get with you and work with you for a day or so. I told her that I wouldn't even expect to be paid. The word of God is something I need more than anything. I need him back in my life. I've grew away from him over the years. I would like to thank you and to keep doing what you've been doing.

Hey David I appreciate what you said and welcome to the channel. Trimble was a great investment and I’m glad to have it , especially working by myself. Hey I’m glad to hear the message was a blessing to you and you want to restore your relationship with the Lord! That is the most important thing we can do.
Maybe somewhere along the way we will meet. I’m kind of planning to go to the Louisville Expo Center later this year, if I’m not mistaken there is going to be a trade show there. Will have to check on that to make sure it’s this year…
      Thanks and God Bless

I was sure glad to see you fill around that pipe with 57's . They'll never have a problem with that joint . Regarding the message : that was my wife and mine's prayer this morning , to give back to the Lord by glorifying him through our lives the way we live and hopefully we'll be seen as peculiar to the world when we go out . God blesses us so much every day and I know we can't out give him but he gives so much it makes me feel I ain't doing enough and pray for opportunities to tell someone about him . I mean that's the best way I can think of to give back. I appreciate the message Sam , thanks

There is a guy in Sapulpa ok that has a pipe yard that his old grandfather started years ago. It has grown so big now that the grandson has it. But he had a piece of property across the highway from it and it was nothing but a 25 foot deep washout that flowed big time after a good rain. They put a couple pipes like that but about twice that size. It was no time that it started not working so he took them out and went and got a bunch of boulders and filled it in with them and then topped it off with rip rap the gravel then he concrete it all he gained a couple acres of parking. They have 2 school buses with the flashing lights and brings all his help to work like that. It’s interesting how all that water flows through it like that.

Great video. I agree we all should show our light and faith everyday, not just on when the church doors are open. So many are just Sunday Christians. I know that from experience from being out of church for a few years, a Sunday Christian can discourage many. It is really discouraging to the ones that have been out of church and see the way some are, especially preachers. That is what has discouraged me the most. I know people are people and are not perfect, but they should show and act like they are Christians. Sorry to ramble thanks Sam and keep up the great work.

In some ways, I liked the video the way you did it. It's interesting to watch the action without commentary and just see the progress being made. On the other hand, I'd rather have the interaction with the content creator because it seems more personal to me. I guess that's why as Christians, we have the ability to go before the Father in prayer, tell him how we are feeling, ask for forgiveness, and to ask Him to heal, provide, and comfort us in our times of need. It's the personal relationship in prayer and church worship that keep us close to God. Thanks for the message and sharing your work day.

Could you help me understand the reasoning behind using rock around the pipe? I'm curious because I would typically backfill with dirt and then top it off with stone, which might save some money. Just looking to understand your process better. Thanks!

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  3 місяці тому +1

Basically used for the compaction rating. You find different numbers on the internet but typically 57s will be 90% or so compacted just by dumping it in place. Then after running a compactor across it you will get almost no settling running accross it. It is very difficult to get dirt compacted around the bottom of the pipe up to about halfway of the pipe and then when you compact dirt around the top half you will have a maintenance/repair issue as the dirt begins to settle over time. I will be running the dump truck weighing around 66k and also concrete trucks will be crossing it as well. Rock is just a better way to go because of compaction.
      Hope that helps out some…
      Sam

Sometimes, we press the mute button on the TV remote...but we like hearing you talk - explaining what the job entails and taking it to completion with us. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not human masters." Colossians 3:23 (NIV) Good works will not save us, but good works come from those who are saved. Everyday affairs are in the arena of spirituality; it's integrity in relationships - wives respecting husbands, husbands loving wives, kids loving parents, parents loving their kids, workers doing good - bosses being fair...Until next time, be safe Sam. We are listening. Best regards, Mike&Pat

Charlie Chaplin or Harold Lloyd ??? 🤔😂
Anyway, you did a canny job, Sam ..... I think you think you know what you are doing 🤓💪
And as for Diesel.... just spent the day doing what Border Collies do best.... rounding things up !!!
Wise words too, I may not be a church user, but I do serve in my own way.... put my skills to work for our family and neighbours, run a fire cadet branch (13 to 18 year olds), and being part of a retained (on call) fire crew on top of my full time job..... Thankfully my better half understands what I do, and she is willing to let me do the extra activities for the community !!

Glad you enjoyed the message and it definitely looks like you do a lot of community work where you are…

Don't trust in commentaries. Read the word of God and ask the Holy Spirit if you don't understand something.
God Bless you in Jesus Christ most holy name

Thanks Dave and I agree that God will give us the wisdom, James 1:5 makes that clear to us. However, we shouldn’t cast aside well written Bible based commentaries to help us understand the Bible. Over time there have been some great preachers who share the meaning of scripture through verse by verse commentary that helps us every day folks understand…
      God Bless,
      Sam

I wanted to take a moment to share with you my thoughts on the invaluable resource that is the John MacArthur Expository Bible. In my journey of faith, I have found great solace and guidance within its pages, enriched by the insightful commentary it offers.
One aspect that stands out to me is the clarity it brings to the Scriptures. John MacArthur's commitment to expository preaching and teaching ensures that every passage is carefully examined and explained in its proper context. This depth of understanding is a boon to any student of the Bible, providing clarity where confusion might otherwise reign.
I've noticed a trend among those who reject useful commentary, often driven by a desire to read into the text something that simply isn't there. This is where the danger lies - when personal interpretation supersedes sound doctrine and rigorous study. The commentary provided by John MacArthur serves as a safeguard against such tendencies, grounding our understanding in the truth of God's Word rather than subjective interpretations.
The John MacArthur Study Bible in the hands of Tristar digging is one of the most well-written study Bibles I've ever come across. Its comprehensive notes, theological insights, and practical application make it an invaluable resource for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Scripture.
The leadership within Grace Community Church, and the theologians trained through the Masters Seminary, exemplify this commitment to fidelity in biblical interpretation. Their rigorous training and dedication to sound doctrine provide a solid foundation for guiding others in their understanding of God's Word.
In conclusion, I am grateful for the John MacArthur Expository Bible and the wealth of knowledge it provides. May we continue to delve into its pages with humility and reverence, seeking always to align our understanding with the truth it reveals.
In a world where distractions abound and interpretations vary widely, your commitment to spreading the message of diligent study and adherence to biblical truth is truly commendable. Your work serves as a beacon of light, guiding fellow Christians towards a deeper understanding of God's Word and fostering a culture of diligent study and work ethic among believers.
The importance of work ethic cannot be overstated in the life of a Christian. Just as you diligently dig (Tri Star Diggin, as the name implies) into the truths of Scripture; so too, should we all strive to apply ourselves wholeheartedly in every aspect of our lives, reflecting the diligence and dedication exemplified in your work.
Thank you for your tireless efforts in sharing these vital messages with us all. May your work continue to inspire and encourage others to seek truth and live with integrity.
