The video was useful. Since my baby couldn’t latch properly, I have to pump exclusively. My output per pump is around 40ml to 60ml and I realized using storage bags with those amounts are wasteful since my baby that’s 2.5 months old consumes 120ml per feeding. That’s almost 3 storage bags! So I’ve decided to buy a storage bottle to combine my breast milk output for the day then feed it to my baby the next day. Then my husband started asking if what I’m doing is safe. I had an instinct it’s safe but I needed a better way to explain to my husband that the breast milk is still ok. This video will help my husband understand now. Thank you. Added knowledge for us new parents. Marina from the Philippines 🇵🇭
I keep an empty bottle in the fridge to bring my fresh pumped milk to the same temp as the other refrigerated breast milk, then when its cool I add it to the rest of the already cooled milk
So I had a question Dear,if i already have 2 ounces of milk stored in the refrigerator, and i just pumped 2 ounces of fresh milk, once the fresh milk cools down and i put that in a seperate bottle in the refrigertor. After a few hours can i combine that refrigerated fresh milk with the older refrigerated milk.It is recommended to mix the milk at the same room temperature right?but i have a huge confusion and that is ,isn't the milk that was already stored before in the refrigerator colder than the freshly pumped milk that has been put in the refrigerator?so how will the temperature be same?and will it be safe to mix if there is a temperature difference?
Hello you always respond I keep commenting on pump essentials videos and I’m not getting a answer 😢 Well it be possible to store pumped milk with ice packs in a regular cooler to cut cost and space instead of marketed breast milk coolers ? What’s the difference between a insulated cooler lunchbag and “breast milk “ cooler ? I don’t drive so laggy two bags to school with a baby bag and a baby is a lot
Hi thanks you so much for this video. Yet got a doubt can I store milk pumped on day 1 and day 2 together. Cause I barely got time to pump regularly as my baby often wakes up or fuzzy and am new to pumping. I am going to donate my milk.
What if you pumped 1 oz and froze it. Then the next day you froze another 1 oz. when you are going to feed baby they take 2 oz can you thaw both 1 oz bags from different days and combine in one bottle? I’m starting to use my stash of frozen milk and I can’t find anyone with guidance of that
Hi summer! I have a specific question… I have A LOT of breast milk frozen. I’ve been lucky enough to be home with my baby for 4 months before returning to work. I’ve decided to give her the fresh milk I pump at work. Can I move my milk to a deep freeze to ensure it stay better longer? Your videos have taken out a lot of the anxiety I’ve been having! Thanks so much!
I combined fresh milk with cold milk, gave it to my baby the next day and my 5 week old baby drank it but mid feeding started crying grunting while holding his tongue out looking me dead in my eyes while shaking his head no. That was clear enough sign for me not to do it again. I cried with him apologizing
I can understand why you’d think the combining was the culprit - but it wouldn’t be … only a coincidence. The American Academy Of Pediatrics came out with a statement late 2021 agreeing combing milk from any temperature is safe to do.
Your videos are so helpful!!! I'm 2.5 months postpartum and wish I'd found them sooner!
Nicole Allan Oh thank you! I'm glad you found them now!

Ah yes. This is called the pitcher method. Combining all the milk into one container then pouring out in servings as needed! ❤️
Was looking for an easy explanation and I got it 😊thank you!
Thank you for this

You can mix any different temp milk together. American Academy of Pediatrics just came out this Fall saying the same.

Rp r I would say yes.

@@DoneNaturally what if you thaw milk and then refreeze?
@@jocelinedeleon2709 This one answers that! ua-cam.com/video/7VwSQnsA6PQ/v-deo.html
Hi, how do I know if the milk I stored has gone bad?
So frozen and freshly pumped can be added together? Just same temp?
Ideally the same temp, but even if not, it’s ok.
Can I combine the milk I pumped the same day?? 😫
Yes. It’s called the “pitcher method”.
