Jen, your simple and healthy snack ideas continue to keep me away from store bought snacks! :D They are also packed with way more protein than even the healthy ones I typically buy. I'm loving how I'm motivated to make my own snacks lately!!
I tried these using the recipe from the book. They actually didn't take that long to make. I have a 70 year old friend who tried them and loved them, lol

Yum! Can’t wait to pass this on to my Rice Krispie loving friend! I’d love to try these 2! You made ‘em so well I can just taste watching you! Thank you Jen!
These look delish! Cant wait to make them! I noticed you put the vanilla in before boiling where other recipes I've done typically call for it to be added at the end of cooking. does it make a big difference when you add it in the cooking process?
Hi, the instructions say let cool completely before cutting into squares but that doesn't mean you need to put them in the fridge. You can just let them cool on your countertop. Sometimes I find that if I put "baked" goods like these in the fridge, the cold, dry air will suck the moisture out of them and they won't be as good. Enjoy!
Can i skip the coconut oil or do you have a good alternative there? =) i know in the blog post you already said i could change the almond butter with sunflowerbutter =) Need some healthy yummy snacks i can make ahead and have available =) and these looks yummy and crunchy!
You mean sunflower oil? Gonna switch the almond butter with sunflower butter like you mentioned in the blog post (cant eat any nuts including almond and coconut =( =) )
I used the honey and halved the amount of honey and it turned out great!!! I dont even like regular rice crispy squares but I loved these !!!!
Woot woot! That's awesome! 😊

I love rice Krispy treats and this healthier version with the addition of almond butter sounds amazingly delicious!
They are so delicious! In my opinion they taste better than the original rice krispy treats.
Another great recipe 👍. Can’t wait to try this one.
Thanks Malika! Let us know how you like it once you give it a try :-)

Thanks Tabatha!! I don't think it would make much of a difference if you added the vanilla after.
Look so good and good for me!
Yes and yes! Best of both worlds. We hope you enjoy them :-)
That looks so amazing! And I love that spatula too 😂
Thanks, Teena! Can't wait for you to try them :-)

Hi to make the rice crisp set should i put it in fridge?

Yes, you can try it, just make sure to add some of the almond butter oil that sits on top of the jar. They are delicious I hope you enjoy them!
You mean sunflower oil? Gonna switch the almond butter with sunflower butter like you mentioned in the blog post (cant eat any nuts including almond and coconut =( =) )
Hope so to when I get around to making them =)
sea salt on top, sounds great.
We love our sea salt! =P
Hi.
What can I use instead of the coconut oil. I don't like the taste of it. Tnx
Hey There, you can use MCT oil instead.
Wonder if you can use maple syrup? Too runny, maybe?
He Sheri, yes maple syrup would be too runny, I would try a thick local honey if you can. Enjoy!!
The link to the recipe doesn't go anywhere.
Thanks for the heads up. It's good to know now. simplegreensmoothies.com/recipes/rice-crispy-treat
interesting idea but by adding coconut oil and almond butter u have upped the calorie n fat content quite a bit. anyone done this with maple syrup?
Hey Lauren! Def give it a try and let us know how they turn out! 😊
Way too many calories to be a healthy option
Healthy-ISH. :)
They're only 216 calories per serving, which isn't bad for a dessert, and definitely healthier than a standard Rice Krispies Treat.
