A bloody interesting look at the work of the co-driver for one of the toughest events on the calendar. Love having a peek at the notes. Thank you, Nicky Grist, for the insightful content.
Nicky, love the channel and you sharing from your many years of experience. You're a great communicator and really appreciate your work here. Well done. David from Australia. 👍
Thank you so much for these videos ❤ you have a wonderful storyteller voice and an incredible ability to recount very specific details that make your explanation enjoyable to listen to. Please make more videos like this :) cheers !
Definitely less chance of making a huge mistake on tyre choice with only 3 available. However, on the Monte in particular I should imagine conserving the tyres could be much more of an issue. Personally I wish the WRC would re-revise the points system for 2024 as a priority; it seems both complex and ludicrous!
Really enjoyed the video. Information provided was really interesting. Still makes me a bit sad when I hear Colin’s name mentioned. I was totally addicted to rallying during his time. The man was a legend and so you are Nicky! Total respect to Derek Ringer, Richard Burns and Phil Mills but the McRae/Grist partnership was the pinnacle (in my opinion) and that’s from an Englishman. Thank you for all the videos
Probably harder during your time, Nicky. Tyres have also improved so much over the past years so i'm guessing that the tyre you chose was not as well suited to other conditions.
It strikes me (as an armchair rally fan) that the more choices there are, the more chance of making the wrong choice, but the right choice if made would be a very good choice... if that makes sense.

Great stuff there,Nicky! Sadly the snow looks like it won't be making a visit this weekend.
LOVE IT! You should do a vid like this for each of the RALLIES of the Calendar. Thanks Nicky
More of that! That was awesome!

It seems to me, there were no crossover option in 1991. The most curios tyre choice in Monte.
