- Old friends Nicky Grist & Howard Davies get together at the RAC Rally 2023 in Carmarthen to chat about Howard's rallying career, including stories that some people will have never heard about before (in between biscuit breaks!)
Although Howard is well known for being the biggest personality in rallying, he also has a very interesting rallying career, famously co-driving for Gwyndaf Evans, among others. Enjoy.

I could listen to you pair for hours. I really miss the 90's rally cars/crews. RIP Colin RIP Richard. I had the great pleasure of talking to Nicky and Colin at Lloret del Mar overnight car park at silly oclock in the morning, where Colin wasn't overly pleased the glorious imprezza actually fired up lol. All 4 true gents.
Absolutely brilliant! As a die hard Canadian rally fan Tom McGeer was one of my heroes as a kid. I remember seeing this pairing on Canadian forest stages at 7 years old! That story with Terry Epp is priceless. I don't think it is known in the Canadian rally community and can't wait to share it!
In 3 weeks I'll be co-driving at that same snowy French Canadian event, Rallye Perce Neige. Thank you for sharing this, Nicky! You've always been a legend to me and an inspiration as a codriver

I've been a rally fan since the 90s and marshalled at Rally Australia in 1996. I have no idea how I missed knowing who Howard is, but by god he's entertaining. I love his channel. And of course you Nicky - your voice is the voice I always think of when I think of a co-driver!

Got my pic with nick down at carmarthen showground, he's a hero to me for sitting in with Colin and juha, had him n Phil Collins off a few times n they were always such a great laugh t chat with and very humble! 👍

Sad hearing how Howard was kinda forced into loosing weight 😢and I totally get how that would effect his personality guys a legend it’s a bit like telling Neptune need you to ditch the fork use this golf club ffs he is who he is and if he’s happy that’s all that matters ffs 👍👍🤝🤝🤝

Met Howard in 2005 at the Rocky Mountain Rally when he sat with Tom McGeer. They unfortunately went off a bit early in the event. Met Nicky when we rallied at the Rim of the World Rally in California. Two legends.
Met Howard at that Canadian Rallye Defi, heck of a nice guy.
