I don't know how, but i was just playing Jak 2 normally and this song started playing when i got to the palace and i was like "I have never heard this song before, and how long have i been playing Jak and Daxter games?"
The instant Jak started ascending upwards I nearly choked on my drink. I wasn't expecting that. And had I known about those glitches as a kid I would have so ooooo gone back to the palace, I always wanted to return but couldn't.
Wow, it's amazing you found this, I'm guessing you glitched on either PS2 or 3, I grew up with PS2 as I child and I always wondered if Jak could get to the spider area one you uploaded

the music does not always appear, it is supposed to happen when the alarm is activated, or due to game errors, because I know people to whom it appears randomly, in addition to my disc being dirty and the music appeared to me on that same stage in the boss battle against Praxis, so it's 100% real not fake
@@jak3489 in 2019 when the Official Soundtrack of Jak II was released, this track was featured in it and was titled "Weapons Factory". It is possible that this was intended to be played at the Weapons Factory but for some reason in the game itself there is no music at all. It is unknown why this track was muted when it was supposed to be playing in the background during the Weapons Factory mission.
Is it possible to get inside the throne room from this palace area with the board jump? It could cut down the length of speedrunning the game significantly

I believe it happens when you enter either of the two palace missions with the city on high alert
That would make sense because i was in trouble. (I can hardly go around Haven city without getting in trouble) :P

If you go high alert then glitch over mars tomb this song happens, with a slight difference. Just something interesting to look into.

I think so. there are a bunch of them in the explore palace mission.

You can in the earlier missions but the mission doesn't trigger
