0:54 this this right here is what made this song iconic.
youre banished to the wasteland and when you finally make it back to a safe area in the city this is the theme youre welcomed to.
just hearing that takes me back to the mid 2000s.
I love how the comments are all just quotes from the guards walking around haha
I hate the smell of this part of the city.
Oh wait...wrong Jak game.

Vincent Ly wow, very accurate

I love this theme, because it really shows had bad this war has become. You can still recognize bits of it as the Haven theme from Jak 2, but the hopeless tone really suits it.
"We cant win this war"
I remembered how the mood was great to good from Jak and Dexter to Jak 2... Then it went depressing to Jak 3. That's why Jak francise is one of the best video game francise in existence! It knows how the mood goes for us to mellinnials lol
It's honestly sad there won't be a Jak 4 :/
Its definitely a sad and somber piece. But it has a bit of hope as well. Cause within all the defeat and loss. That drum still plays its steady beat. A march. Determined, never stopping. Never losing itself to the grief and loss the city has suffered. It's persists.
There is still hope. So it keeps marching. Great soundtrack
“Never thought we’d see you again”
This is basically 2020’s theme.
2022’s…
@@Samurai__Jack lol literally
@@Samurai__Jack Yeah, this ost can easily match the mood the people of Ukraine are facing.
@@michaelmorningstar7933 really man

@@tvrgriffithfan8682 Could be Torn or Ashelin.
@@katavasis5359 Ah, okay. They never really call them that though. I think it's probably Ashelin, right.
@@tvrgriffithfan8682 Yeah, I think they talk about Praxis in title.

"The city is lost"
They have lost Haven Palace, Industrial Area, Main Town (in-half) Bazaars and Gardens to Count Vegar, the Krimzon Death Bots and the Metal Heads.
@@vincently1995 really they don't have means of production to re-establish the economy, which was also not good...

Its like in ratchet and clank 3, your rivisting metropolis but then you realize the whole place is a battle ground
"I miss the old baron."
This is the perfect theme for America right now I swear to gosh. 😢
And perfect theme for Ukraine

There is no hope. All is lost. All has been lost. All is lost in shadows for all eternity.
when as a child you saw that half the city was destroyed: It is not true, tell me what is not true.
I miss the old baron..
The pain of ruined Haven City.
Who destroyed the Haven Palace?
Who took over the Industrial Area?
Who infested both Western Bazaar and Southern Gardens into Metal Head City?
Who renovated both northern Slums and Water Slums into New Haven?

“I’ve bagged ten metal heads this week!”
"I miss the Old toa matoro"
does anyone who played jak 3 think to themselves: the baron might have just been mistaken, for he only was wanting to defeat the metal heads.
+lantern26 Welp. He had a clear goal, but instead of mistaken, he was mislead by Kor to fight a prolonged war which at, with assumpted metal head breeding speed, could inevitably become Haven's demise.. That and the fact that his iron justice kinda got people mad and afraid. Torn and the resistance weren't for no reason.
@@sengoku_fin it's almost identical to modern day U.S politics and international relations in a sense.
@@T121A0 I wouldn't compare a militaristic despot to a senile manchild but I'll bite ya.
The difference in Praxis, however, was that we don't know how the fuck the story developed into the setting and the situation where the game actually starts from. We have no way of knowing how a peaceful Haven City was ruled, way before the metal heads. I don't remember if Praxis stronghanded himself into a tyrant or not, but I don't think his rule to be out of pettiness, or small-mindedness.
@@sengoku_fin
The metal heads appeared when Jak went through that rift going forwards in time. I’m guessing the metal heads nested on the Precursor Dark Eco silos as they needed Dark Eco to get stronger and reproduce more I guess.
I’m Jak 3 you meet the previous ruler of Haven City as he has now become king of the wasteland, he was forced out of power by Praxis presumably because Praxis was favoured for winning a war with the Metal Heads, a war that was ill advices and obviously rigged by Kor so that Praxis could control Haven City. Kor used this influence over Praxis who knew they couldn’t win another war to get them to mine Dark Eco. His Iron Fist regime was made to keep everyone silent because he was running out of resources to keep the city alive. Each sector would eventually become like where the Hutt from the first game is located as they couldn’t protect it or even fix it up after its fall, they just walled it off.
But yeah, a lot of what happened between 1&2 is messy because Jak was there due to time travel and stuff but... we do need a game that showed how the villages fell from Jak 1 into the construction and Metal Head take over before Jak 2.
Honestly. Everyone was a good guy in my opinion. Just led along with strings by kor, the metal heads, and crew. They all set up the attack and used the time jak was training in the past to devise the battle see happen in jak 2. If jak honestly never got sent back in time I'm sure the city would've fallen either way as the baron was also trying to use the wars longevity as a way to keep power which was crooked on his part and in my opinion the only thing that he was "evil" on. He just wanted what he thought in his mind was best for the city. Unfortunately as seen many times in the past. The goals of one man don't always align with the goals of many, so with or without the war. He would've lost to rebellion or killed all his citizens in a spat of schizophrenic rage as he slowly loses trust in everybody for the way they thought of him.
