Great stuff, Bruce! This is now on my list of must learn songs I really dig Chris Isaak's guitar sounds. I just learned how to play Wicked Game. My ultimate goal is to play and sound like James Wiley. For me, cowboy twang is the best sound on earth.
I'm here because 10 minutes ago I passed by my friends electric guitar and had an impulse to run my finger across the strings DRIIING, next second I hear "Blue hotel...on a lonesome highway..." MAN! I ran to pick up my Spanish gtr (I just started, so I'm running in pitch dark here) and looked for this tutorial :) Thank you, sir, for uploading it and helping us play this awesome song that reminds me of a breath taking vintage Mercedes I saw last summer, advertising some hotel. I want that car!
Brilliant lesson of Blue Hotel, thanks. Have you tried the song 'Nothings Changed' by Chris Isaak? I love the twangy sharp Telecaster sounds in that song and I'm trying to work them out on the fretboard at the moment on my thinline Telecaster.
Great Lesson & Always Nice Tone. I Guess That's Why I Subscribe. Any Chance You Could Do a Lesson on ( Wicked Game ) By Chris Isaak ? I KNOW You Could Do It Right. And I Ain't Just Saying That. Thank's Again for the Perfect Lesson.
Ain't it easy when someone shows you! .. superb, thank you.
