Follow my nervewrecking leg along the 300 NM from Iceland. With no accurate icereports in hand, I started my journey into the foggy unknown. Me biggest worry was "when will the first bits of ocean ice occure on my route, when will I meet it? I could not sleep for one second for almost 3 days. Fatigue was the biggest challenge on this one. To stay awake non stop!

You made it. Most would consider sight of the coast as having made it and certainly not, ahem, _gone so far_ as you did. Not saying it was _too_ far but it was very far indeed.

Genuine smile on my face hearing you happy with where you reached. Astonishing mate, and very brave. To think, you are among a tiny handful of humans, in all of our history, that have sailed solo to where you have.
Be incredibly proud of your achievement my friend, you deserve it.

This really was some of the most amazing film of an expert sailor at their limits that I've ever seen. It beats all the sun drenched, floating around the Caribbean on hugely expensive multihull channels out of the water. Massive respect to you Erik.

An awful lot of the fatalities on Mount Everest happen when climbers get "summit fever" and insist on pressing on despite clear signs that turning back is the right move. Not pressing your luck is good seamanship and good self-leadership.
When NASA was planning the Apollo moon landings, they gave letter codes to the different missions that would achieve milestones on the way there. The "F" mission was Apollo 10, which went all the way there with a lander, but a plan to *not* land on the moon that day, and that's exactly what they did. So congratulations on accomplishing the F mission!
