Hello everyone, I just experienced this with my wife’s treadmill. For those who haven’t fix this issue here’s what I found. This noise for most is coming from the motor. The motor has two brushes inside their call brushes but do not exactly look like a brush. Anyways these brushes are for one the positive and the other for the negative. They surround a center piece of the motor that spins. The brushes have a slight pressure against this centerpiece that’s pins. These brushes are literally rubbing on this center shaft and it’s what produces electricity and makes the motor run. The brushes look like magnets. Whenever the motor shaft builds any type of carbon or debris, it pretty much obstruct the brush and causes a click noise. There literally shouldn’t be anything in between the brushes and the spinning shaft. The spinning shaft inside the motor it’s very sleek and shiny due to the brushes rubbing on it as it spins. Think of it similar to how brake pads on a car clamp against the break disc. If anything were to be in between it would obviously cost some type of noise as it spins around, and that is the clicking noise you hear. If you can get access to the inside of the motor without taking your treadmill apart or your motor from the treadmill off and spray some lubricant specially the one that’s designed to clean electronics. This will pretty much eliminate the clicking noise. The cleaner you get the center shaft the more smoother it spins. Google what brushes inside the motor look like and how they are installed inside a motor to get a better view of what I’m talking about. Hope this helps everyone. I fixed mine in like 20 minutes doing this and no more sound. It’s very smooth.
If you loosen the screws on the bottom of the treadmill under the motor might help mine was too tight and I was able to get rid of the stupid clicking noise
My tread mill is 2 years old and just started making the same noise. I see you also have cats near your treadmill I'm wondering if kitty litter got in the motor? I tried sucking with a vacuum and blow with air compressor but nothing makes it stop.
Same thing happened to my machine this afternoon, I have had it not even 2 weeks and the highest speed I've used it on is 2.7 mph for 40 minutes. Sounds like the fan is hitting something. Already left a post on Amazon. Other than this its really a nice unit and was impressed with it for the price I bought it for. Shame.
Any diagnosis or resolution on this? My just delivered treadmill is making the exact same noise. I took the cover off and agree it’s the motor? Internal fan blades perhaps?
Not really. The seller sent me a new motor (without instruction) and I figured how to install it. It was click-free for about 6 minutes, now clicking again with a new motor. They had offered me a new treadmill, free of charge, but I told them not to bother. In the end I took a 50% refund just to be done with it. Their support is difficult to work with, but if you leave a poor review on Amazon they'll practically pay you to fix it. I'm still using the motor with the clicking, though think it's getting worse over time.

no it still works OK. I just wish the support team was knowledgeable enough to say "it'll go away" or "it's no big deal". Read the rest of comments for advice

mine seems to have recovered over time. Micromanaging the belt balance may have helped.
@@mattydstah I put a little silicon lube on the silver rod sticking out on the right side, clicking gone.

I have a new LifeSpan TR 1200 DT3 and the motor is making exactly the same clicking noise. Has anyone found a diagnosis and/or a cure?

I would return it, but the company will make it difficult. That said, mine still works a little loudly a month or two later.
Did you ever return your machine? I have one, started the same sound within 2 days.
