Pixel 3 power button ultra sensitive

Causing boot loops and generally making the phone unusable.
1993 Nissan Maxima SE - starts with some effort then stumbles and stalls.

My 93 SE suddenly stopped starting some time ago. I've replaced some things and now have a video to show the behavior rather than describing it. ua-cam.com/video/yATDeD2mWQU/v-deo.html The plugs are dirty but not 'fouled' per say I had some leak-down from the valve cover gaskets that may have gotten in to the engine. I replaced the starter, battery, and battery terminals recently which took car...
My Pro form motor clicks like this, and then after about 10 minutes of light use, it begins to smell horribly.
I also just had this issue, not with the pixel but my Xiaomi phone, I put my phone in my loose joggers pocket, went to shops and when I came back it was working properly again. I think we just need to give it some movement and allow it to naturally settle. Fortunately mine has and is working fine now.
Did you ever find out what happened? My car is doing the same thing with the key card but the phone works fine. Might have to take it to get serviced soon

@@mattydstah gotcha, thanks for the fast reply!
This is happening to me too.
I know it's an old post but if anybody else has this problem you can fix it by taking your case off, if you have one, and flicking the side of the power button for awhile. It's worked for others too. I know it sounds too easy. Source reddit comment 🎉
You're not alone, I'm now having it on my xiaomi note 12 pro idk why

Lol had paper stuck in treadmill on mine. Same noise
Place the power button against a square corner and rub back and forth so that the power button actuator is pressed first on the bottom and then on the top. I think what happens is debris gets behind the actuator causing it to become ultra-sensitive as you call it.
Im facing the same problem with my poco f3 any solution 😢
Read my comment above
I put my Poco in my pocket and just go to work and allow it to wobble around, turn on off by itself and hopefully it should sort itself out
I got the same issue in my POCO F3
Pixel 6 is having same problem
Have this issue with my Huawei psmart 2019
This is what happened with me today. It sucks and I don't know how to fix it 😭
You ever figure out how to fix this? Mine is the same.
Hello everyone, I just experienced this with my wife’s treadmill. For those who haven’t fix this issue here’s what I found. This noise for most is coming from the motor. The motor has two brushes inside their call brushes but do not exactly look like a brush. Anyways these brushes are for one the positive and the other for the negative. They surround a center piece of the motor that spins. The brushes have a slight pressure against this centerpiece that’s pins. These brushes are literally rubbing on this center shaft and it’s what produces electricity and makes the motor run. The brushes look like magnets. Whenever the motor shaft builds any type of carbon or debris, it pretty much obstruct the brush and causes a click noise. There literally shouldn’t be anything in between the brushes and the spinning shaft. The spinning shaft inside the motor it’s very sleek and shiny due to the brushes rubbing on it as it spins. Think of it similar to how brake pads on a car clamp against the break disc. If anything were to be in between it would obviously cost some type of noise as it spins around, and that is the clicking noise you hear. If you can get access to the inside of the motor without taking your treadmill apart or your motor from the treadmill off and spray some lubricant specially the one that’s designed to clean electronics. This will pretty much eliminate the clicking noise. The cleaner you get the center shaft the more smoother it spins. Google what brushes inside the motor look like and how they are installed inside a motor to get a better view of what I’m talking about. Hope this helps everyone. I fixed mine in like 20 minutes doing this and no more sound. It’s very smooth.
Your a good man
Same is happening with my pixel 4a....what is the solution 🤔🤔🤔
My tread mill is 2 years old and just started making the same noise. I see you also have cats near your treadmill I'm wondering if kitty litter got in the motor? I tried sucking with a vacuum and blow with air compressor but nothing makes it stop.
I have a new LifeSpan TR 1200 DT3 and the motor is making exactly the same clicking noise. Has anyone found a diagnosis and/or a cure?
Love their socked feet!

Have you found anything to fix it
u a god !! thanks
This problem seems fairly common. Terrible design fault. Aggressively pressing the power button repeatedly seems to fix it temporarily. I guess it dislodges built-up debris under the power button that makes it super easy to press. But the problem keeps coming back every so often. I've had this issue three times now in the last few months. But the last two were only days apart. Also, there's a tip online that booting into safe mode fixes this. It worked for me the first time, but not the next times for whatever reason. This leads me to believe it's a hardware issue, not software. I don't know why safe mode fixed it the first time. It's a mysterious problem that's not officially addressed by Google.
Cycling the power button several hundred times temporarily makes the phone usable for me, but the problem returns in about a week. Dirt around or under the button is unlikely to be the cause with mine. The phone has been in a case and is very clean. Repeated cleaning with a few drops of alcohol doesn't show any dirt coming around the edges. The button still has good travel and tactile feedback, but it makes contact with the lightest touch, far before I feel the 'click'. The fault is clearly in the actual switch, inside the sealed part of the case.
Same issue
mine too solved by pressing with a lot of force . press against the button with downward force.alcohol probably not required.
Same happened to my wife's Pixel 3.

I am using Pixel 4 and I had the same issue 😐
Same
If you loosen the screws on the bottom of the treadmill under the motor might help mine was too tight and I was able to get rid of the stupid clicking noise
Same thing is happening with mine, about 3 weeks old. The speed is not increasing with mine, it's stuck on 1kph and has to be manually stoped with the on off switch.
Did you ever return your machine? I have one, started the same sound within 2 days.
no it still works OK. I just wish the support team was knowledgeable enough to say "it'll go away" or "it's no big deal". Read the rest of comments for advice
It suppose to be higher, right below the camera 🤦🏻♂️

just got this issue
Same thing happened to my machine this afternoon, I have had it not even 2 weeks and the highest speed I've used it on is 2.7 mph for 40 minutes. Sounds like the fan is hitting something. Already left a post on Amazon. Other than this its really a nice unit and was impressed with it for the price I bought it for. Shame.
mine seems to have recovered over time. Micromanaging the belt balance may have helped.
@@mattydstah I put a little silicon lube on the silver rod sticking out on the right side, clicking gone.
Hey when you guys got the Pixel 3 brand new did the power button have any sort of a click like the volume buttons?
Yes
Same happened to my pixel 3 but I found a fix. There is probably gunk build up under the power button. You can moisten the button with alcohol (I just used spit) and drag the power button along the corner of a hard surface from top to bottom. You could probably use your thumbnail too with a lot of pressure pushing from top to bottom or vice versa. You are basically squeezing the debris out from underneath. This fixed my phone and the power button now requires a full press like it's supposed to.
This totally fixed it!!! thank you.
Thank you very much sir it worked
I'm so happy I found this comment, Thank you so much
Dear God! Spit and fingers are the right tool for this job. It worked for me, unbelievable.
OH MY GOD !!! THIS WORKED!! I LOVE YOU MAN!! PLEASE YOU SHOULD MAKE A VIDEO!!! SPIT AND A CORNER GOES A LONG WAY!!!
Can you still use it though or should I return it?
I would return it, but the company will make it difficult. That said, mine still works a little loudly a month or two later.
My brand new one is doing the exact same thing. Fucking Amazon
Any diagnosis or resolution on this? My just delivered treadmill is making the exact same noise. I took the cover off and agree it’s the motor? Internal fan blades perhaps?
Not really. The seller sent me a new motor (without instruction) and I figured how to install it. It was click-free for about 6 minutes, now clicking again with a new motor. They had offered me a new treadmill, free of charge, but I told them not to bother. In the end I took a 50% refund just to be done with it. Their support is difficult to work with, but if you leave a poor review on Amazon they'll practically pay you to fix it. I'm still using the motor with the clicking, though think it's getting worse over time.
Having the same issue. It seems to come and go every few weeks. Keeping it off for a few hours seems to help.
Is your problem solved?? Mine just started,it's third comes after 2-3 months
@@sufiyanmalik2314 What I did was to cut away the inside of the power button on the case, so that even if it was pressed, it didn't touch the power button on the phone. I then installed a button saver app to have use of my power button.

@@Magic679 I cut out the power button on my phone case, so that I don't accidentally touch the power button on my phone. It's been working well as a workaround to the issue for now. I'm planning on just waiting and buying a the pixel 5 when it comes out
@@Mrjtg1993 Thanks for the reply, it really sucks i can't even find enough information online to try to fix it myself, have you found anything online suggesting what the repair could be?
Variable valve timing control sprocket?
when you dealt with this issue do you know what else you checked or were told to check other than the fuel pump cuz i'm having the same exact problem with my 96 maxima. same thing when i use the throttle as well. when the problem first started it'd happen every so often but then increased over time right up to the same problem as yours now. this is what ive done so far; switched out engine coolant temp sensor, crank position sensor, camshaft coolant sensor, fuel pump and regulator, spark plugs, boots and coil packs, PCV and starter plus the theres no lights/ codes showing at all. also the catalytic converter is only about 40k miles old. when i played with the intake air control valve and the ECM it'll start quicker but it still dies. any help please
The pump is an easy fix. You can easily unplug the fuel pump and repeat your tests-- if it does the same thing with the pump removed it suggests it's the fuel pump. Another way to check the pump is to pinch the fuel line coming out of your fuel filter to see if it 'pulses' when the pump switches on (before the car starts it primes). My spark plugs also smelled of gas because the gas wouldn't spray out of them, just dribble, so it didn't ignite. If you've replaced the pump I'd look at your electrical system back there.
Ah dang... I was hoping it wasn't a fuel pump... but I had an itchy feeling for some reason that it might be that. Thank you so much for the quick response!
It was the fuel pump. I replaced it myself -- pretty easy and only $25 for the replacement. There are some good vids on UA-cam as a Maxima walkthrough and free how-to guides on autozone.com
Did you ever figure out what was wrong with it? Mine is doing the exact same thing.
Yes it cranks way too long to start, but I had attributed that to something other than timing (i.e., fuel nowadays). It's a timing chain which AFAIK is much less likely to jump a tooth. No change when re-priming the fuel pump several times. I haven't seen smoke
Looks like the only thing you have not covered is fuel pressure, volume and, delivery then. Also sounds like really retarded ignition timing. Hard to tell. Crank time is definitely way too long. Does it get any shorter if you cycle the key on and off a few times before cranking? Any smoke out the tail pipe?
