I am a big fan of Akrapovic products. They are beautifully made. I have a racing line full system on my 2008 ZX6R. Not only does it fit well, it sounds incredible, looks great and goes extremely well. While they are a lot of money, you get what you pay for.
Forget PCR.... take it to MSG Racing near Oxfordshire I took my GSX-R 1000 L7 there today and got 192.78bhp 86.35 torque. Lextek headers yoshi R11 exhaust and sprint P08F1-85 air filter. Well happy with the result 😀
really incredible improvement, I use an akrapovic Slip On Line (Titanium) but it doesn't compare to the Full Evolution Line. I can't wait to see the results on the track
Wow, really good video with great information! Also awesome video quality, looks like a professional production! I'm looking forward to hear your impressions after the first sessions on track. I've had my bike mapped to the race exhaust and find throttle control much easier and the engine reacts quite a bit smoother - especially at the lowest few percent of throttle opening. This gave me much more confidence in mid-turn and was a great advantage for me as a hobby-rider, much more than the few horses gained (which I hardly use anyway)
Very informative, and expensive :-) My 1000R came with the yoshi slip on, always been a fan of Yoshi myself, but my K3 1000 has an akrapovic on, all pretty similar stuff when all said and done, but worthy content all the same. I'm liking the development of the bike, that's the part that interests me the most. Safe riding Sylvain.
I had Akrapovic on my old 600 Bandit many years ago, sounded real good, although there was another exhaust system I loved back then, called ART, as far as I know they either closed down or stopped selling to the public, but they had a beautiful sound, had those on my 97 ZX7R candy red/white and Scott Smart signed it for me 😁, Microns on my Hornet 600 and my 1st Blackbird, and 4-into-1Blueflame on my 02 blue Blackbird (miss that bike).
Just found your videos and subscribed instantly! Very informative, especially the riding techniques. Also, I don't know if you already have it, but if you haul your bike around alot a Pitbull restraint system would save you alot of hassle from tie-down straps.
Loving your videos pal, thinking of getting at 18-19 gsxr1000 as offers good bang per buck(£really) as had to sell my k1rr due to family growing.Good informative content, am tempted, top work Mr G.
Very impressive numbers, with a light street tire add another 6-10hp WOW. Almost 200 and such a light bike. Can't wait to see it on the track. It looks like you have a fast right out of factory bike, I have seen much lower numbers from other bikes. Watch Moore Mafia for more details.
I’ve enjoyed the video! Been choosing a system online for a while now. Wanting a system with a longer canister for better mid range. This video helps a lot!
Great video. Confirms my thoughts that slip-ons are really just for "bling" but full systems really do add big-time to performance. I was surprised that the re-map didn't make a bigger difference after such a big exhaust change - thought without the re-map it would be horrible but no! Very interesting - not seen that "pre-map" chart before (nice!). For the full race system - $/HP - probably one of the cheapest mods you can do (try finding 10KG and 10 BHP for less than $2.5K!!).
Andrew Boundy yes 💯 agreed. All in its about 7kg lighter, 15hp in mid range and 10 at the top. I tried it today on track (Donington) Massive difference. Feels like a race bike now
My quess would be that deleting the CAT/muffler would make the biggest difference in power with the full system. Which can be done for a fraction of the price of the Acra system..
How about some before and after acceleration testing? Dynos are one thing. Real life experience is another thing. Yes, you will see these "big" numbers on a dyno, but how does that translate into actual performance gains? In my experience, all this is worth about 1/10th of a second in quarter mile. So keep that in mind people.
What do we reckon is the total weight saving with full system and all the valves and emmision components removed? Got to be getting on for 8/10kg. Add a lightweight battery in the mix, not to mention all the road parts like headlight etc being removed. Be good to see what the before and after weight saving is
Great video, well explained. Did you use standard 95RON fuel or something with a higher octane rating? Also is fuel a standard item in WSBK and GP championships?
Lovely video!! Have the same bike. Same Exhaust. And Woolich is on the way. So apart from the block off plates i just go ahead and remove the servo motor and the EVAP valve unit? I also got the Woolich wideband Auto tune. So i am confused of i need to get rid of these components. Did you change the spark plugs on the bike? Hope you have fun on the track. It's a lovely piece of kit. Cheers!!!

I have been trying to decide on a full system. My closest track has sound restrictions so I am looking for something that when baffled, can still pass sound.. I know you guys have a lot of restricted tracks there in the UK. I would be curious to know if that Akrapovic can be made to pass.

Excellent vid Sylvain. Kinda motivated me now to get an aftermarket slip on and headers🤔
It will be good to have a round up video when the bike is fully finished the bike ie brief start to finish with costs, weights and time saved.

@@SylvainGuintoli Looking forward to the "report" VLOG :-)
@@SylvainGuintoli i think this video also shows that suzuki does provide a pretty well powered bike straight from the factory.
I've had 3 Akrapovic exhausts and have been great, 2 Termignoni exhausts and very nice but still think the Akrapovic is a little better.
With or without db killer would have been useful.
cool video.....u could compare the weight differences also...full stock vs full akrapo....cheers from slovenia👍👍

You should get that cracked windscreen fixed. Usually covered under fully comp insurance in the UK.
Would be very interesting to see if Austin racing inconel system could match or beat the Akrapovic for power gain.

Weight - Why is the right-hand passenger foldout foot peg still on the bike?
Are they track fairings you have on your bike ?. Great video ,I'm about to buy a Gsxr anniversary edition so very interested in your videos . Cheers
It's a lot of money for full system, but it's also the cheapest way to gain 15hp for your motorcycle
Hey Sylvain, I have subscribed to your channel but I still can’t watch the videos that one can only watch as a subscriber! Do I make a mistake?
Great video, well explained. Did you use standard 95RON fuel or something with a higher octane rating? Also is fuel a standard item in WSBK and GP championships?
Thanks. I used 98 fuel. WSBK and MotoGP both use special fuels to enhance efficiency
I feel confident in my own decision that even an ex-champion doesn't bother changing his cracked van windscreen...
It’s fixed now but must admit couldn’t be bothered for a bit 🤣
Man how about using the bridgestone slick tyre for the track session
Did you leave the rear pegs on for a lucky pillion? 😄
Just in case...😜
It would’ve been really interesting to see how a stock system with a re-map and same emissions system mods compares.

rkulkarni12 PCR performance did the mapping, probably best to get in touch with them for the technical questions
Does Woolich provide mapings for specific configurations? I know there are mapings from users, i mean specifically Woolich mapings
Another great video, always been a fan of yoshimura on suzuki's but the akrapovic looks sweet. What loading ramp is that you use?
Chad Hele not sure, had it ages
Yeah, that ramp caught my eye too, very handy. Wish I knew where to get it
I like this project! How loud is the racing exhaust system? There’s no information about that on the akrapovic homepage.
@lamb_chops_rides how dose figures compare to Your old GSXR1000R with Brock performance exhaust and your ECU reflash?
