Sorry, but they DON'T have a separate battery charger for that battery. I know because I just purchased the BougeRV 48L dual door WITH that battery, and even though it has a input port, BougeRV support told me the only way to charge it is with it installed in the unit and the unit TURNED OFF/STANDBY MODE . I returned it because it doesn't make sense to have a battery that has to be recharged IN the unit with the unit OFF. Even the manual says it has to be installed in the unit in order to re charge it, again in "standby mode".
You are correct Bouge rv dosnt directly sell the charger You can plug the solar panel directly into the battery to charge it separately We purchased a 3rd party charger Easily found pretty much anywhere Any 12v charger for like a power wheel Ect One we have is like $12 for a charger We also have charged ours numerous times while the unit is running In fact we have never charged it while the unit was in standby mode I do understand your frustration and I do apologize Maybe I will reach out to their customer support team and update them on some Details We tested the unit ourselves without their input We did not follow any of their guidelines We were not paid to do this test So our points were from our real world testing Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that and we thank you for letting us know And I’ll do my best to relay the message to them
@@mrs.c5471 this one will also work amzn.to/3LQL84w These are from a third party parts place for portable fridge and freezers But like I said any 12v charger with that size plug will work if you wanted to find a cheaper option We had one laying around for a 12v deer feeder that works fine
Well then, part of me wishes I’d found your video before I returned the battery, but the fact that they, BougeRV, doesn’t recommend that or provide that option, makes me question the safety of the battery, so I’m glad I returned it. I’d hate to lose my trailer over a battery fire.
@@outdooradventures811 THANK YOU! I can’t believe I’m the only person out here that was totally confused about this. I am following you, and hope to see an update. If you continue to have good luck with your charging method, then I may re order the battery again, because it would be quite handy to have/use on short trips.
Hello, just wanted to update you on my "battery" situation. I re ordered and received the back up battery and the ACOpower battery charger you recommended. Unfortunetely the plug to the battery charging hole is too big. So, I'm back to square one. Would you be so kind as to post a picture of the actual battery you have and the AC charger you have and use?
