    • @EveryDayJay415
      @EveryDayJay415  3 роки тому +1

      @@lawrencecummings8703 It's a common problem with these it seems like. You can try plugging it in or just holding the power button down. It sometimes gets stuck on but usually it will eventually turn itself off. I have even seen some with random screens on at Costco as i was walking by the display.

    I used to work security at State Farm’s corporate headquarters and we had two or three of these CAT units that we used to jump all the employees and contractors when their cars wouldn’t start. Very dependable and easy to use. Never once out of dozens of times using it did I ever have a problem.

    I really like these units compared to those lithium power stations. The batteries on these units last for over 5+ years then its also replaceable. These units will last you for a very long time. Its also packed with features. Cant beat it.

    SO glad I picked this up at Costco! For the 1st time in my long life, I jump started a car all by myself without having to ask strange men to help me! Not that the men were strange.. you know what I mean.
    When you hook it up, red first, the display turns on, then you turn the knob to on and start the car. Disconnected in reverse order and turned it off. Super easy! Woohoo!

    I use this on my Airstream. It can inflate to 80 psi but it doesn't seem to auto shutoff. Not sure if I just don't wait long enough or what. I usually manually shut it off when it reaches 80. It's also supposed to shut off after 10 minutes of use so I would return yours for the Costco refund.

    Another thing regarding the compressor a good suggestion is to jack up your car truck a little bit if the tires right flat to take the strain off the unit it will work well to get your tire pumped

    Good demo. I bought one from Costco couple of years ago. Everything works but the inflator is a disappointment. Doesn't inflate my Ford Explorer. Shuts off after a fewe minutes. Had to buy a stand-alone inflator to complete my rescue gear.

    • @EveryDayJay415
      @EveryDayJay415  4 роки тому

      Yeah I had the same issue. Most small built in inflators are worthless for larger tires.

    • @alexanderparr893
      @alexanderparr893 2 роки тому +4

      A good suggestion in that case is jack up the one flat tire so it doesn’t over strain the unit and it should work well And only run it five minutes at a time let it cool continue on

    • @RandomBitzzz
      @RandomBitzzz 2 роки тому +2

      Instructions state that the inflator will only run for 10 minutes at a time, and you need to wait 30 minutes for it to cool down before using the inflator again.

    You can't say that this unit won't inflate your RV tires. You've never tried it. You can't assume that the performance of this unit is going to be the same as that tiny little thing you tried to use previously. It's an entirely different unit. And, as you said.....it's rated to 120 psi.......so....it should have NO problem inflating your tires to 80 psi.
    But don't say something doesn't work, if you haven't tried it......that's not a fair review.

    I bought one the inverter only worked for about a half second tops and would not work again. I did charge the battery for 40 hours first like the directions say. All this is is more junk from China. The battery is lead acid you don't want to lug around lead when Lithium works 100 times better for one tenth the weight.

  • @Throughphoenix
    @Throughphoenix Рік тому +1

    Just my two cents. I topped off my four truck tires 60psi and my four trailer tires at 80psi. Added about 3-5psi each all on less than a quarter charge.

  • @MendiMountainMan1969
    @MendiMountainMan1969 Рік тому +1

    Excellent for jump starting. good for charging phones. had (2) for under a year. First one lasted about 9 months before charged would only hold for a few hours. In addition the air compressor took almost 18min from 0 - 35psi. Traded it in at Costco, and then used it on overland trip - and it worked well and held a charge. BUT... the air compressor gave out after a few uses on deflating and inflating tires to 45psi from 15psi. Good overall, but if you're actually going to use it on a continuous basis or put it through rugged use you may want to look around for something more robust - at least in the air compressor version.

    • @EveryDayJay415
      @EveryDayJay415  4 роки тому +2

      I haven’t personally ran into anything like that. I will say there might be electronics that stop the battery from RECEIVING energy from the posts which is why it’s not charging. If you’re not able to return or do a warranty service I would try and charge the battery directly. I’m sure it’s just a standard size SLA 12v. I believe it’s capacity’s 9ah so finding a replacement shouldn’t be hard if you go that route. Thanks for the view!

I took out the battery and checked it with a tester and it was good. I looked at the circuit boards and did not find anything burned or shorted out. I put it back together, and nothing but a loud beep every few seconds.

    Hi.
    Can i connect a surge protector to it and connect my small 21 inch tv with an xbox game console for about 10 minutes ?
    Its because i flip video game stuff and want to use this jump starter so that i can use my tv to Test game consoles on the road before i buy them so that i dont end up buying junk consoles that dont work due to sellers claiming they work when in fact they dont.
    Thanks.
    ANYBODY Knowledgable please reply soon.

    • @EveryDayJay415
      @EveryDayJay415  3 роки тому +1

      It depends on the power draw of the console and tv but in going to say no. It will most likely power the tv but the console will draw too much juice. You can’t check on the back of the appliances how much power they use if they both combined are under 200W it should work but if they are over 200W combined it will be too much. Charlotte Rich That’s a common issue with the units, make sure all the buttons /dial is switched off. If that doesn’t fix it try plugging it in to reset the computer in it.
