The thing about Jimmy Kimmel is that the fact that he tends to mock everyone for some sort of distinct feature, kind of like him joking about the man with the accent. When a person uses repulsive behaviors such as fear and loathing (in Kimmel's case, insults and snobbishness) to get to a certain goal, whenever it's making a statement about some sort of belief or call to action, the person as well as the action or belief is seen itself as repulsive. This also happened with Trump as well, which served as the fuel used against him. This is also why some sites on social media have begun to go against mainstream media.

@@samt3412 but if you need to trigger a pack mentality emotional response to make people laugh at your jokes, and said trigger is a very important part of the show, then you know that your jokes aren’t that good.
I don't blame Jimmy or think he is the sole reason for the downward spiral of society. I don't like him AT ALL, but I think the internet is the actual problem here. On the internet you can put your opinions no matter how bad they are online for everyone to see and people can listen to whatever they want and block out anything they dislike and create echo chambers. Before the internet, you mostly just shaped your beliefs by your own interactions with others and since you weren't anonymous any hot takes can be critized and your reputation could be tarnished. TLDR; the internet was ready for us, but we as a society wasn't ready for the internet. Just think about it, society was fine until the internet became readily available for the general public and it's only been getting worse since then.
@@Rahnonymous So, assuming you're somehow right (you're not, but let's entertain the thought for a second) and it's entirely the internet's fault, what's your solution? And before you say it, the Genie isn't going back in the bottle no matter how hard you try. Why you're wrong: Hollywood and elitist culture has always been a hive of delusion and pseudoscience going back to the tenth century, "The emperor's new clothes" was a parody story ABOUT an elite's delusional obsession with wealth and his own moral upstanding such that reality itself no longer applied. More specifically, the mainstream media has been pushing outrage culture since 9/11, long before the mainstreaming of the Internet. Why? Because some executive at CNN or MSNBC saw the sky high ratings they got during 9/11 and said "If we could keep pushing content that causes that much of a stir, it could make us rich! How do we do that again?" All the Internet has done is made it easier for people to take notice and call it out.
@@Rahnonymous I don't think freedom of ideas on the internet is our problem. If social media companies had an ounce of integrity and non-partisanship, echo chambers wouldn't be so easily created. All the social media companies that deleted Trump's accounts have doomed themselves to become liberal echo chambers (take me for example, I deleted Twitter 4 days ago). Any social media sites that don't outwardly discriminate against republicans are becoming Republican echo chambers. The issue is that two non-compatible realities have been created by the Democrats and by the Republicans. I personally believe the Republican reality is real, not in small part because of the pretentious hacks like Kimmel and the huge corporations that collaborated to kill anti-Biden information and effectively "steal" the election from Trump. When all of the established, elitist corporations rally against you, you must be doing something right. Literally everyone possible in the entertainment industry went against Trump. Really makes you believe they are getting orders from higher-ups. And that plays into conspiracy theories of puppet masters.... You can clearly see where this leads. The Qanon stuff was false when it came to the election and Trump being revealed as the winner, but the sick stuff about human trafficking and Hollywood are undoubtably true. To save society I believe Hollywood culture must collapse, among other things.
@@pichuflash2769 well seeing as how these Hollywood people have been more so telling their audience to go fuck themselves in recent years along with their support for people that kill their main source of income as well as traditional media rotting away, I feel like they’ve instituted their own demise, but I won’t be surprised at all if the government starts handing bailouts to these crypto commies. Bruh, have you watched any of Carlin's HBO specials from 1992 until his last HBO special? He specifically says that worshiping a president like some kind of god is the stupidest thing anyone can do. In Back In Town and Life is Worth Losing he explicitly says that voting is a big waste of time. Carlin's opinion of Tantrum Trump would be pretty much the same as Slick Willie: At least he's honest about being full of shit.
Bush was president for 8 years and he was a complete fool, even his college degree was questionable. Under him we had 9/11, and the entire Iraq War, which was widely understood to be motivated by oil. People called him a monkey, mocked his speeches (Maybe you're too young to remember 'Bushisms', which were a lot funnier back then because the media didn't have to deliberately misquote him to make him sound dumb, something Trump gets constantly), even taunted him for saying words wrong like "nuclear". Bush had the same 'nuclear codes' Trump does and he was *a lot fucking closer to using them than Trump has ever been at any point in the past 2 years*. Why is it that I can so easily find many intelligent or at least thought-out spins on what Trump's actions and words could be implying or working toward in theory, but absolutely nothing that indicates or justifies the insane fridge logic of Hillary or the Left? What was the goal of the Democrats in 2016, aside from lampooning their opponent (a guy which the Podesta emails plainly stated as a known threat to her candidacy, that they were prepared in advance to 'deal with')? What was the goal of their party? They didn't have one, that's why their rallies sucked and their attempts at being relatable were cringeworthy (POKEMON GO TO THE POLLS). You know what I find more stupid and aggravating than any shitpost Trump has ever made on Twitter? The mindblowing, infinite spiral of hypocrisy that is Dems and leftists claiming Trump cheated the election, that he colluded, whatever. Because I remember, like no one else apparently does, when Hillary asked Trump if he would dispute the results of the election. He said if he lost, it was rigged against him (as it was proven to be rigged against Bernie later on). He was ripped to shreds by the media for questioning the validity of Democracy. How could he imply political elections could potentially be rigged?! No election has EVER been rigged! And when she lost, what the FUCK happens. The entire goddamn hypocritical left side of the spectrum unanimously bitch and moan that the fucking election was rigged against Hillary. Like CLOCKWORK. It never fails to astound me how that alone encapsulates their total delusion, and reaffirms that those who continue to crypost #ItWasHerTurn and #TimesUp are just useful idiots who may as well be drops of water in an ocean, rocking whatever boat needs to be rocked through transparent social manipulation not grounded in fact or logic at all.
@Antiform well said lol. You must be libertarian like I am haha. Although the primaries definitely were not rigged against Sanders. Sanders was too early. Americans are sympathetic to Socialism, but they are still uncomfortable with it. That was proven two years ago. But they will not be come the 2020s, and the US will eventually become a poor man's USSR. One disagreement, and that is that no election is rigged. They are rigged 100% of the time just because of their existence. Because who wins in any election? Certainly not citizens. But the state does. Each and every time. You gotta just sit back and laugh at it all, really. Obombya and Tantrum Trump are following the path that Neocon Dubya blazed for them. A new path will be blazed soon, probably by a younger version of Sanders. That's when things are gonna REALLY suck. Well they'll be alright for a few years but then its just gonna bite everyone in the ass. Just like the USSR and most of Eastern Europe from the 1940s-1990s. There will be coups and probably a 2nd revolutionary war. Not something I want to be a part of. 3rd world Southeast Asia may have more statism, but at least things are cheaper there and I don't have to worry about wars being started for no reason at all.
I’m about as left as they come, but Jimmy Kimmel is about as “left” as Walmart putting out ads about diversity. It’s summed up perfectly in this video saying he simplifies issues to a ridiculous degree. Systemic problems like gun violence or shifty education aren’t going to be solved by “just pass a law or something.” Also, Jimmy’s “discussions” on race boil down to “celebrity says something on Twitter” or “as a white man, I have no room to talk on this” while proceeding to talk about it.
Hate that idea too. "I'm white so I can't have a say in race relations" "I'm a man so I can't have a say in abortion" So citizens shouldn't be allowed to vote on immigrant laws? Straight people shouldn't be allowed to vote on gay issues? Poor people shouldn't be allowed to vote on wealth issues? You need outside groups to weigh in because all these actions affect outside groups. Actions affecting one group affect the entire polity.
@@sirllamaiii9708 Another issue with it is that it’s constantly used as a way for white people to avoid the subject all together. People like Jimmy Kimmel don’t have to hold a position or offer any solution to the problem because they can just say “I’m white” and feign ignorance of subject (despite the fact they call others racist or hold themselves as “woke”) Like many things Kimmel does, he whines about race while saying nothing at all.
It's ugly to see. The woman did say something a little biased with the "we have to make government by ourselves", without asking for politicians' accountability. Fair, lots would disagree on that point. But when she went on to the more reasonable stuff Kimmel just kept latching onto an image of "crazy af lady, haha 🤪"
Would that question or any statement made by Roseanne on Jimmy Kimmel interview lose any nuance and credibility since she made an insensitive tweet joke on a former member of the Obama administration? By the way, while I think it's stupid that Roseanne made that joke, it's kinda over the top to cancel a very popular revival show last season.

I dont like Trump, but every comedian just focusing on him is getting really old
I agree. If Carlin was alive he would tell all of them to stop.
No, not really, Carlin against stupidity and trump is embodiment of stupidity. He need to be called out all the time.

It’s summed up perfectly in this video saying he simplifies issues to a ridiculous degree. Systemic problems like gun violence or shifty education aren’t going to be solved by “just pass a law or something.”
Also, Jimmy’s “discussions” on race boil down to “celebrity says something on Twitter” or “as a white man, I have no room to talk on this” while proceeding to talk about it.
Hate that idea too. "I'm white so I can't have a say in race relations" "I'm a man so I can't have a say in abortion"

You can't do anything in politics voting only gives illusion of power and you don't have any true influence over it. Don't believe me? Ha ha ha. Welp here's a few links to prove my point.
www.mic.com/articles/18362/5-common-misconceptions-about-voting-your-vote-doesn-t-count
Also the electoral college doesn't work, because "According to the text of Article II, however, each state government was free to have its own plan for selecting its electors, and the Constitution does not explicitly require states to popularly elect their electors. Several methods for selecting electors are described"
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Electoral_College

www.npr.org/2016/11/06/500660424/how-the-electoral-college-works-and-why-you-don-t-want-to-think-about-it
Also the argument of lesser than two evils when trying to elect someone means your still supporting a evil person by voting for them since both sides are going to be evil either way. Also you have to take into account there simply cannot be a good politician for many reasons meaning what politicians say about getting the "good of the people" just won't happen and is most likely a lie. Even if there was a good politician that goes into politics he most likely won't be able to help us for many reasons.
You also have to take into account that people don't study about politics that well otherwise we wouldn't have so many mistakes when it comes to voting. Also the whole "you are responsibility for a politicians actions since you didn't vote" is just untrue. These links well explain why.

DogOfHades There was a time where people actually liked to discuss the issues with the country, now not as much
I think you guys are misunderstanding the Kobe comment and taking it out of context, that’s being used to demonstrate the hypocrisy of insulting someone for sexually harassing people then bring in someone who has been accused of sexual harassment like it’s no big deal. Whether or not Kobe really did it, you need to understand the context used in this argument.
straight facts
Most of these "aged like milk" comments are written by kids without common sense, not a big surprise.
He then uses a clip of Kobe while saying “rich and powerful men get away with it”. Not that I care about whether he did it or not but still.
I feel like Emp did that more as a way of relating his wider claim that Kimmel was being hypocritical back to the specific example he gave. He was just saying that, in general, he worked in an industry with (and interviews) some people who have done questionable things, but then goes on to immediately complain about that specific issue with trump while he is surrounded with it in his work.
