  • Unboxing & Setting Up Boss BCB60
    It was time to hang up my old pedal board. It was buzzing left n right. So I got the Boss BCB60. I have been using it for a year and its been treating me great! It will last you a lifetime if you just jam at home. On average I play 4 shows a week and its still holding up. I highly recommend the Boss BCB60.
    Check it out on amazon: amzn.to/1UEwryE

    i've had mine since 2008 or 2009, it never had rubber feet on the bottom side so I had to mark off the bottom side overtime. I fucked up and left it near the radiator and it melted the resin for the hinges, i believe it also melted part of my TU-2 and old DS-1 as neither of them open to replace the battery(not an an issue as I would run a an old daisy chain to power my DS-1, HM-2 (which I see there, nice, also gotta love the pantera wah) and old which I just plug in to keep my 9v from dying. You can throw the tuner up by the input above your wah, it was made for the other boss tuners but it fits a pedal, even a spare. I have had it sideways ontop of a piece of plastic for years and it never failed me, just gotta read sideways lol.

    I have one of these, works great, easy to use , great for for transport and setup. my rig is:
    My guitars - 1991 fender Strat Plus, 2016 LP Standard.
    1 Boss TU-3
    2 Wampler plexi-Drive
    3 Boss HM3
    4 Boss PQ4
    5 Electro-Harmonics Grand Canyon duel output (latest edition)
    Going into 2 Amps, Fender Bassbreaker and a fender Twin, sounds great especially with the doubler or slapback delay using the ping-pong option on the EHX GC. Killer sound. Thanks for the great demo.

    Thanks for that video! I just finished building a board with a pedal train frame, and it looks nice but it took a lot of work. Now I'm putting together a board for my acoustic and been looking at this board. your video helps a lot.

    I’m sure that it works, but the pedals that aren’t made by boss throws of the symmetry of appearance.

    • @BlogTernet
      @BlogTernet  4 роки тому

      Very true. If you are going for aesthetics stick to boss pedals and maybe a mini wah. But this works great and I think it doesn't look that bad with other brand pedals as long as they are not gigantic. Thanks for the feedback.

    I’ve got a trivial question and maybe you guys already know the answer to a dilemma I will be having.
    I currently have two Boss BCB-60 pedal boards. The first BCB-60, Pedal Board I, contains two Boss PSA 9 volt powered (later model) pedals but the remaining four are Boss ACA 12 volt powered. The Boss power supply is for PSA 9 volt pedals and as long as there is at least (1) PSA 9 volt pedal in the chain with ACA 12 volt pedals included, the 9 volt power PSA power supply should be fine.
    The other BCB-60, Pedal Board II, will entirely have older mark Boss effects pedals and since they are powered at 12 volts each I can not use the stock 9 volt BCB-60 PSA power supply that connects to the board.
    Besides adding to my ACA vintage Boss collection, my concern is that BCB-60 Pedal Board II, will have all 6 ACA Boss pedals lined up on the chain and a TU-EX12 Tuner which is 9 volt DC. I otherwise believe that I can not use the stock Boss BCB-60 power supply that came with the board to power up the older mark Boss pedals.
    Is there a specific non-invasive resolve that is minimal in aesthetics which I can buy to power all 6 ACA pedals on the BCB-60 Pedal Board II (w/Boss TU-12EX Tuner-9 volt DC)? I believe I know a simple remedy to this but it would involve modifying one ACA pedal so that it could take a PSA power supply. Then if I am correct, the rest of the ACA powered pedals would work off the chain in the BCB-60.
    I would rather not modify anything in my collection unless that’s the only resolution.
    Again, this is totally a guess on my part but minimally I guess, in theory, if just one of those ACA pedals were to be modified to accept 9 volts from the PSA power supply that the rest of the older mark ACA Boss pedals would operate off of that PSA 9 volt power supply chain.
    If you are in the know from your experience about what options I may have as far as a component I could buy to connect the power to the board (that’s also a real inexpensive yet simple resolve), then please, by all means, explain away!
    Thanks all!

    Bro I need to know if you can close properly the BCB-60 with a cry baby wah pedal? Im planning to buy cry baby. Thanks

    • @BlogTernet
      @BlogTernet  6 років тому

      If I can fit the dimebag pedal. Im quite sure you can fit a regular crybaby. The dime bag has a big tone knob on the side and I make it fit. From online specs it looks like the dime bag is bigger than the regular cry baby. Like I mentioned, I make my dimebag wah fit in the BCB60. Ive been gigging professionally believe or not for a coupe of years now with it. Honestly a smaller wah would fit better..the regular crybaby wah seems to be smaller so you should be good. All the best! Keep on rockin'. Its a great lil compact pedal board.

    Did the all the pedals, including CryBaby fit inside, once you put cover back on?

    • @BlogTernet
      @BlogTernet  7 років тому +2

      Nitish, yes they all fit. The wah is a bit tight. Sometimes I think about taking it out and setting it up separately outside of the Boss BCB60. The reason being that one of the power adapter wires stretches from the Heavy Metal Pedal around and routes to the right side of the wah. Ive been gigging with this set up for over a year, its worked great and its convenient. I have also considered taking the Boss tuner out of the loop and just using a headstock tuner; but I love my old beat up Boss Chromatic Tuner..its looking like a relic now. Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by!

      @BlogTernet  7 років тому +1

      Im not sure on the specs of the Digitech Whammy...If I am not mistaken its bigger than the crybaby wah. So it might not fit..The crybaby is a bit tight in there also. All the best Alvaro!

      At this moment in time the BCB60 is $180 and then you need pedals. It fits 6 pedals and it up to you to choose what pedals you use. If you are on a budget consider buying used pedals.
