It looks really neat and organized. The cable strip was a good idea to not make it look all messy and "cably" (Kabelsalat!). And it's stereo out. The BCB-60 is a good compromise for the "beginner" as you point out. Some players and/or DIY enthusiasts appreciate more freedom in the pedal layout, power supply and other options

I've owned a bcb60 for many a year, and it is still going strong.
The rubber feet are ok but do fall off after time and if not replaced this can be a bit slippy on certain surfaces.

I have a BCB 60 and I like it alot, doesn't look too pretty, and it's a little bit limited on space, but I covered the board in velcro so I have more room and it's perfect.

I would have added a small tuner though BUT, for what it costs I would go on a different route. Harley Benton SpaceShip 40, Harley Benton Powerplant Junior (which is isolated!) and like 10 pro snake patch cables. Total of €120 which is still cheaper than the BOSS and you have; a bigger board, isolated power and don't have to topmount everything ! Just my two cents here Henning ;)

I've got a strymon bluesky on here
Is that safe? According to boss this thing has 1000 mili amp power supply. And according to strymon their pedal needs 250. The rest of my pedals are very low power draw so I should be way under the 1000 limit of the boss power supply.
But I wanted some community feed back
    Thanks guys!

The top two slots of the BCB-60 are meant to house a TU-12 or a TU-80 ... or both, I guess.
Sure, you can use them for anything else but it's a Boss board. It makes sense for them to accommodate their own gear.

I would consider this board just based on boss's pedal construction. If I buy something that doesn't make noise I want it to be a tank. Of course, it is more fun to build your own (pedal board), and suffer its defects, than to buy something proven, lol Also, to my ears, I am still liking the keeley mods I have heard (on the bluesdriver), but the waza voicing isn't bad.

  • @jamessouleyrette3370

+Juan Pablo Calvo One of the power cables had a dodgy contact, but I got it second hand. The patch cables aren't noisy, have a relatively low profile and, to my ears, don't kill your tone. However, the lack of real space for a power supply means you're going to struggle with daisy chaining it all and enjoying the subsequent ground loop hum if your pedals happen to disagree.

WTF's with them wanting all that bucks to fix the street. Do you not pay road tax where you live or something Henning. Never heard of that over here, and bloody hell I would be in the shit if I had to find that money every now and then to fix the bloody street. Scandalous if you ask me.
I quite like this pedal board by Boss. I love how it's so compact and something you could quite easily use at home and put away easily when finished. saves having a load of pedals and wires everywhere. Must admit the case it comes in looks like the sort of thing you would get power tools such as drills and that in, and it even looks like the sort of thing one might even hang on a wall in a garage (LOL)
Excellent demonstration and video as ever, and the more I see these pedals, the more it even makes me thinking of maybe getting a cheap amp and some pedals, and going into recording analogue instead of using my virtual racks. I used to have a couple of Boss pedals years ago and they was real quality, though back in those days I never even dreamed of hooking them up together and only ever used them separately. I am loving the combinations you can get from having a pedal board and all the pedals wired up to each other this way, so you can experiment in getting, perhaps your own unique sound.

You can busk in the other streets to pay for your own! With your guitar and facemaking skills, you'd have it no time at all. Hah! Then you'd have to demo battery amps, portable power supplies and foldable chairs. :P
Incindentally, I busk using the BSB-60, and while it's not heavy and the hard plastic is sturdy and feels protective, I like the lightweight, small-footprint and affordable mini pedals, which are a very poor choice for this board. And almost a half of the surface gets wasted, which is really bad in what you want to be a portable setup. I'll try to trade it for a new Palmer board with the soft carrying case.
BTW, are you gonna demo that Simble or what? :P

"Beer" sound, that's a new one... Why does everyone shit on boss? I love there pedals, but never understood why so much hate? Where do you stand on this matter?

I think he meant "beer" in a good way, like a good dirty sound.

+LegendaryK4 I used to hate BOSS, I think because it was too mainstream and they sometimes praised themselves too much. I wanted to be different and somewhat of a rebel I think :p When I grew older I let my ears and experience decide and now have the BOSS DD-20 delay and Super Chorus on my board. When nitpicking though, I have found more than often BOSS pedals come with some noise when they are engaged but yeah, so do some much more expensive pedals :) And I'm not talking about dirt pedals but modulation btw, where extra noise is really not expected. What I really do like about BOSS is that they just work and are built like a freakin' tank ! I also like the big footswitch they use, much less chance you miss it when wildly rocking out on stage and moor sturdy. I wish more brands would use these style of switching instead of the little knobs.
