- Brand new Milwaukee roofing gun is finally here and it is awesome! This roofing gun is a huge upgrade over the current Dewalt Tool gun and a great indicator that more cordless coil guns could be coming out soon! Let me know if you will be picking one of these up!

I’ve used the Dewalt nailer for new construction windows almost everyday since it came out. All of our other tools are Milwaukee so I’ve been anticipating this. Picked one up today! Can’t wait to start using it!
The fiber cement cordless gun MUST come out next please.
Boys and their toys, love it.
I'd be more interested in a siding nailer if Milwaukee comes out with one. The roofing one would be nice for smaller roof jobs and repairs, but don't see this being used for larger roof jobs. I do have the Milwaukee frame nailer and love it. Never had any issues and I've used it a lot. Only issue is the weight. I do have various Milwaukee trim nailers, again no issues. 😎👍
I had all air nail guns Pasload had the set in the back for roofing shingles just hook it and run never ever had any problems with all my Pasload framing coil and trim paid a lot for em
We just need a fencing/smartside cordless gun. Please Milwaukee
Definitely getting the Milwaukee Roofing Coil Nailer!! Great for Repairs!!
Excellent review... appreciate the level of detail to help me assess my decision to purchase. Thanks guys!
The rubber also protects the housing from wearing due to asphalt shingles.
yes
Kyle I don't use it enough anymore to replace my air roofing nailer. However, I hope you're right about the coil siding nailer maybe following it. I would benefit from one. If cordless comes soon I won't by an air gun. Currently I end up nailing siding projects with 8d ringshanks from my Hitachi framing nailer. 8d is the smallest that will go. But as you're aware that's a big gun.
I owned a couple of the Paslode roofing coil nailers. The idea of not having to drag around a compressor and 4 whips of hose was a great idea, until they would carbon up in cold weather.
I kept both guns for a couple of years, then traded them in on the Bostich pneumatic nailer and Makita compressor.
Kyle, don't wish for a framing coil nailer. Nail selection will be horrible and the price will be super high. It's bad enough that the price of galvanized nails more than doubled a few years back for commonly available sizes.
I've been waiting for that nailer, I do some shingle roofing but more vinal siding
Who ever makes a hardie siding cordless gun first I’m buying
@rr buildings
Hey Kyle, now that you have Milwaukee roofing nailer to go with/ DeWalt, you need to now buy the Metabo hpt roofing nailer and do one heck of a comparison vid as would be a great vid, imo; but you do always give us great vids👍🏻
14:04 this why like my hitachi/Metabo hpt 18v framing nailer b/c have the hitachi service regulator to refill air when nail gun runs low or out. Can remove screw for access port on gun, hook up regulator and connect to air compressor at 110 psi and engage for 10 secs in maintenance mode (which all these instructions were given to me by hitachi when bought the regulator for $35 ) and your done, air tank full.
It really is nice and quiet. Thanks for showing us Kyle.😁👍🏼
I have mine on preorder. Will use it the majority of the time for vinyl siding. But will be nice to have the roofing ability when needed. I also wish they could cut some weight. I love told the Milwaukee framer for power but went back to a Paslode due to weight. I hope it’s a good performing gun.
Finally! The nailer will be so useful!! 10/10
Cordless is the future. looks good.
I really appreciated the "were not bashing, its just how does this tool work and should you buy one" comment. Although if your Kyle, the real question around if you buy any tool is "do you already own one?" and if the answer is no,,, you buy one. (or 2)
Nice tool, will be useful. Have been wondering why you don't just parallel your bottom metal closure piece
with the soffit channel. Seems like trying to level two areas would be taking a chance
with them not ending up being parallel. I was always taught to level or plum one side and then measure
the other. I have been using Stabilla products for about twenty years and know they are superior.
In Florida when using cement lap siding over Cmu and 1x4 furring, we use 1 1/4'' roofing nails.
This is done in blind nailing applications. Been watching your channel, pretty much from the start.
Top quality craftsmen.
I always thought the power button in general was dumb on Milwaukee nailers put the battery in and go
Got mine 2 weeks ago. Got the kit. Can never have enough batteries or chargers.
Think it would be good for fencing ?
I am so glad you said this tool is not for smartsiding. I have a siding project coming up and I was thinking this would be a great tool to add for that.
look at the Paslode tetraGRIP siding nailer. RR Buildings has some videos on it too when they're doing SmartSide
Great vid. Would u put a larger battery like 5 ah or is that too heavy?? Thanks
Too heavy and not needed
Thanks.
So from my understanding the amount of nails per charge is paired with the M18 3.0 high output battery so might be a little better weight
Where did you get the roofing nailer?
Damn Milwaukee really has the edge on cordless nailers love how smaller the heads are
That's a nice looking tool! Have you seen Paslode came out with the first cordless coil siding/fencing nailgun Kyle?
Good morning 👍🤟👍😎
Man, waiting so much for Metabo KFS system review! Please make it!
Based on specs, it's still lighter than the Metabo gun. If they can shave another pound, pound and a half off the weight it can become a great production gun for a full day on the roof.
Its way heavier than the Metabo
6:35 think b/c of way piston fires and machinery needed to advance nails by mag track etc…..the power button controls for battery nailers are pretty much always located in same place/area regardless of too brand. Putting those controls and running wires etc inside of tool for diff easier user place, most likely cause some issues w/ performance and having too actually function at all, and why we ALWAYS see controls for power, temp, batt lvl, etc in space b/t battery and the mechanisms for shingle, driver, trigger, etc….assemblies.
Yes, hated my first nail gun got, hitachi 21° framing nailer and had power button and battery gauge and if tool sat 10 mins would turn off and had to turn on again. Became frustrating till 10 yrs later got used to it, and all nailers have some kind of on/off bump, gauge button type that needs to press and in same place as others….and got used to it. Really don’t think of it anymore, unless using pneumatic and switch back after few weeks/months, lol
Kyle quick question why is this building 2’ to 3’ night than grade right now?
The Angels are singing in heaven!
Do you know if it will shoot fencing nails? I’ve been waiting on a fencing nailer to use when building gates so I don’t have to have an extra air hose or stop the guy nailing pickets when I’m building the gates.
I would never buy another Dewalt roofing nailer. I've got 2 of them and they keep jamming like every 3 to 4 nails. looking forward to using the Milwaukee
I own the Dewalt version. I've replaced it twice. After not too much use😢
Great review. Only question about putting the controls on the top, I’ve seen you do it as well as others and that is use the head of the tool to make small adjustments. Now having the controls there wouldn’t you run the risk of doing damage? Just a question that’s all
I will be getting one. 👍
Been waiting along time for a cordless siding nailer.
It is not for wood or cement based siding. It will only work for attaching vinyl siding. He does explain this. Don't spend your money on something that will not do what you think it will do.
That’s crazy how close you are to 2 million subscribers, Kyle! Your second million subscribers seems to have been many times faster than your first million! You deserve it! You have some good content and you always do great work! Thanks for sharing the details of the builds!
I always like to see the remodels or upgrades or whatever you want to call them when you add doors or windows etc!
I think my favorite was your old house before you sold it! You had a little bit of everything in that series! Thanks again for sharing the knowledge of some of the products and materials you use also! I enjoyed the watching everything on your RRHQ 2.0 you’re doing! The insulation you used was great to learn of. Hope to get more feedback on how it performs down the road! Thanks again!
5:51 I never adjust it lol

How many nailing guns will wet need overall though?
I hope this is too resource one rather than in addition too 👍
❤Atta Boy'Z!
Ik you have alot of different tool brands for ur power tools, but if u had to rate the top 3 what would they bem?
You really need to be wearing safety glasses running nailers
What was the cost of tool
The rubber over holding on side are replace after the shingles tear them. Up too much
Finally, see what RR means.
Thanks
Anyone else catch the skeleton in the window frame? 😆
When is this available to the public. I can’t wait to quit disgracing myself amd sell my cordless dewalt gun
I want one to install vinyl windows.
ONE PIECE! 🏴☠ 1:01 2:09
First comment wooooohoooo Looks like a fantastic tool as usual from Milwaukee tools
$479? Wow!
So I guess Milwaukee is the sponsor not Dewalt
wish it was out already so i dont have to hand nail my siding
i miss toolsday a lot
I guess we know Kyle's opinion on guns and being PC😂
#dontletthemcancelyou
...aaaaand the Luxe backpack is sold out
Send me one !
That's the best place for the power buttons. They can't be bumped or changed easily.
11 coils per charge? That's just over 2~3 squares of shingles (depending on your area and if you need to double nail, etc.). When I was roofing we would do an entire home (40 square in my area)...that's a LOT of batteries. My Subdivision is reaching the age when everybody is replacing roofs. Not a single battery powered nailer around. EVERYBODY uses air...and usually the Bostich and Hitachi are preferred around here. When I was doing roofing over a summer while laid off, I used a Bostich. Never jammed, and could bump fire at scary rates (as fast as you could strip across that shingle. A good roofer could fly through a 1/3 square (one package) in minutes. I don't see these being good for roofing like that. Siding? 100% see it. Roofing? Maybe I'm wrong, but nah....at least not around me, they all use pneumatic.
As an avid dryer your opinion aligns perfectly with what I would like to use this nailer for. Recently had my roof done and roofing is something I don't really want to do myself. However I do plan to replace my siding myself and this would be nice to have since I don't have a good air compressor or nailer already.
For sure this isn’t meant to shingle a whole roof, neither are battery framing guns meant to frame an entire home. It’s for us smaller guys doing maintenance work or shed/garage roofs.
I could see a DIYer doing a small roof. The pace would be so much slower that your pro roof slayer. Maybe if tou already had a strong cashe of batteries, a slow pace would stay ahead of pace. Just a thought.
They specifically said 5 squares or less, in the release, so basically repair work, or installing new vents or accessories. Will be great for stoops, bay windows, little over hang returns or up on a long ladder.
No one is buying this for a full roof, more like quick repairs and siding.
Looks a great bit of kit, wonder when it will be available in the UK
i dont want a battery roofing nailer.
I noticed on your barn that you are building in this video.
Do you always use 2"x 6" tongue n groove for your grade boards?
kinda sounds like a staple gun
Ok, last comment.
If Milwaukee or Metabo hpt can make siding nailer as good or better than my trusty Bostitch N66C pneumatic nailer been using forever, I’d love that. Weight would need to be same as pneumatic (4.8 lbs which actually lighter than my pneumatic Metabo hpt framing 2 strips nailer 😉which is around 5.5 lbs) or least not be over 6.5-7 lbs max! IMO….. that siding nailer/fence nailer is beast and just keeps going, and everything on that nail gun is serviceable and replaceable too.
heads up this video is pretty quiet
Maybe not good for warranty, but I feel Milwaukee is far superior in the cordless gun game. I found a cheap adapter on Amazon to use my DeWalt batteries on those guns. With the trim guns, and the framing gun, I've never had a problem, and I suspect I get a few more nails per charge given the 20v vs. 18v.
Dewalt's "20V max" is the same as other brands' 18V.
When an 18V battery is at full charge, it goes up to 20v. The nominal voltage is still 18V, Dewalt just uses "20V max" for marketing. In Europe Dewalt never did this stupid rebranding and all their tools are still marketed at 18V.
Kind of like a car's 12V battery is close to 13V at full charge.
@@alxace interesting.. gotta love marketing departments....
Does the Dewalt battery "talk" with Milwaukee powertool?
Todays technic is more plus and minus between these parts.
@@torstenbrunke4026 talk in what way? I don't use any of the Bluetooth stuff. And the power button, and fire rate selection is wired in mechanically.
Metabo HPT nailers are more reliable than milwaukee and you can get parts for them when the warranty is over. You can also easily fill them up yourself if the air leaks out.
438 bucks ouch!
Kyle - love the truck! I’ve got a 3500HD SRW DU. Struggling to see the goosepin on the backup cam to hookup when the taneau cover is folded forward. Been trying Harbor Freight magnetic tennis balls on hitch and ball to try to get aligned, but that’s pretty lame. Any advice or solution?
It’s Roofing.. not Ruufing.
Hahahah love the channel!!
Bet you're a hoot at parties. In Canada they're roofing with... wait for it... don't go ballistic... ASHPHALT shingles.
Tools Tuesday. I miss the intro sound track.
i personally would love to see you use some senco fx nailers.and the best part of them compared to Millwalkee is that the maintenance can be done at home with just a simple compressor, i think they are seriously underrated , i have the 18 ga FX18 , 15 ga FX15 and framing nailer FX35, i have used some m18 , makita and de Walt nailers but the Senco, they are in my opignion just the best nailers i have ever used. i just wish they would come with a higher veriety of nailers, other then that, i would really love to see what you think of them.
Tools day!!
Have you ever done an evaluation of driver bits? We call them hooties.
😊😊😊😊
Roof, not ruuf.
Nail-Applikator = Gun. Then you don't need to use the name Nail gun
👍👌👏
Looks too heavy to be on the roof tbh, just like their framer.
В балоне воздух закончиься там где боëк , и надо разбирать пистолет и подкачивать балон , там даже сосок для насоса предусмотрен😂😂😂
Not for me
Who cares if the dewalt makes a noise.
Somebody call the Waaabulance. 😪
20 minute long commercial......thumbs down!!
Then don’t watch it
the problem with that is the helpers ruin the crap out of them tools they just dont care.
