UPDATE! I need to amend the personal item for flying statement. I said it didn’t fit under the seats because I was flying Spirit a bunch to cheaply get around for trips at the time of the video and forgot that your “standard” airlines like Delta, UA, etc., have slightly larger underseat storage (and I was sitting in the aisle seat a ton which often has a smaller under seat storage). You CAN fit this as a personal item, just not in ALL scenarios. Hope that helps!
I wanted to love this bag, but the lack of an external quick access pocket (at least one!) was disappointing. Also, the side pocket magnets were very weak and if the item/bottle wasn’t big enough it would flop around all loosey goosey. And the fact that they don’t include some accessory straps at this price is just egregious.
Hey I love your video. What airplane did you refer to where the backpack did not fit underneath the seat? I have the same backpack. I did not have that issue. It fit just fine underneath the seat.
Have you checked out the Shimoda Urban Explore 25L that’s on sale 1 March 2024? Just curious since I think it’s similar to this Nomatic 25L and I’ve seen several reviews on it already.
I haven’t yet! It looks really ergonomic from what I’ve seen but I don’t necessarily love the layout of the interior (and I’m not a huge fan of foam dividers)
I've been eyeing this one for a while! Just trying to test out a few others and if they all fail, this would be my next one to test out! Looks so sleek.
I wouldn’t mind having that camera bag at all. A kind content friend of mine just sent me the Luma…seems a lot like this bag with liter materials. Going to try and use it as my everyday bag. We shall see! Great video!
Damn. I wanted to take it Seattle as my personal item. I bought the nomadic travel backpack and was wanting to return it and get this to travel with. I have the Peter McKinnon sling for my camera it just takes up a lot of room inside there. You don’t recommend for personal item on flight? Any other ways to pack camera as this is my first trip to go shoot.

@@DavidZhou I am flying delta. I’m new so I don’t have a bunch of equipment definitely not 30 pounds worth 😝 I do enjoy a good looking bag. This does help and I appreciate such a fast response.
The nickel-and-diming to make it a functional camera backpack is what gets me. If you are marketing this as a camera backpack, why must I buy the dividers or cubes to make this functional, and then add the camera straps so my tripod will stay put? With that said, I went with the Wandrd Prvke where I had to buy a camera cube to make it functional 🤨but it did come in at $100 cheaper.
I agree-I’m not a fan of nickel and diming the things that make it a camera bag-as a camera bag it’s solid, but the price is on the higher end. It’s like you’re also paying designer prices 😅
dude I don't own one yet and I seemed to be loving it already but it got me disappointed, the fact that it doesn't come with the straps to secure a tripod!! specially for that price point!
It was definitely a big surprise to me… if you can get past that, it IS a great backpack after putting it through a month of use, but yeah was initially disappointed
I cannot possibly see how this will allow my Sony A7RV with a 70-200mm lens will fit, NOT TO MENTION, if I also had a Sony 1.4X telecoverter. This back may seem to carry a lot, but more for medium to small cameras (or your beer and chips, as you say). Sorry, will not work for a telephoto user.

Still rocking the Brevite camera bag. It's become a must have for shooting festivals and concerts.

Hadn’t thought about the lack of an external pocket, but definitely valid negatives!
Great review buddy, appreciate all the insight and the attention to detail!
your image. quality is so sharp my guy!
Also, Brevite Jumper
Planes might differ, perhaps I don't know. But I have flown with it many times and was able to stow it under the seat 😉🤘
I will try it again on my next flight!
Hey I love your video. What airplane did you refer to where the backpack did not fit underneath the seat? I have the same backpack. I did not have that issue. It fit just fine underneath the seat.
To be fair I was flying on budget airlines like Spirit so 😂
Glad to hear that!
It's fit under the airline seats in every plane I've flown in so far (not many but still a win!) Hope it can still fit under many for you too! :)
I did not have any issues with flying with this bag either. Fit just fine underneath the seat as well.
Setup in the back looks clean. Maybe you should do a video on that.
Definitely should do a “studio tour” soon!
I’m rocking the lowepro aw250ii

I’ll give a “one year later” update, cause I run my backpacks through the ringer 😂
Is that a 16 inch MacBook Pro? (I just got one an I'm looking for a compact camera backpack that can fit that thing)
Yup!
I wouldn’t mind having that camera bag at all. A kind content friend of mine just sent me the Luma…seems a lot like this bag with liter materials. Going to try and use it as my everyday bag. We shall see! Great video!
Keep us updated on how that Luma bag treats you!
What’s the name of the silver tool you showed please?

@@DavidZhou one more question, please. Is there a pass through to put over the handle of a carry on?
Yes, if you’re not loading it too heavily it should work great! (Doesn’t work for me since it makes my suitcase faaar too top heavy lmao)

Dang, even pricier than the Peak Design backpacks. What’s with the 4s? I think I missed something lol
I know, it’s definitely pricey 💀 and just a random joke unrelated to the video haha
I feel like depending on the airlines you use. I was able to bring the backpack and put it under the seat in front of me
At best it’s going to be a *tight* squeeze haha
I wish I could afford 4 of these

What backpack are you rocking? 👀
Bagsmart Camera Backpack, best one I've used and cheap too!
Can’t deny that I love the look of those types of backpacks!
