Oily skin girl here(without acne or breakout problems) and I just wanted to share that just because something doesn't work for someone with dry skin, doesn't mean it'll work or be appropriate for oily skin. Sometimes it's just not a great formula for anyone. Also, even tho I have oily skin, I *do not* want heavy or full coverage. I want a light to medium, natural, skin-like finish, too! I've found that K & J beauty companies understand the needs of different oily skin types, including acne-prone, not acne-prone, & aging. Just something to think about. ✌🏽
I’ve NEVER found a foundation I’ve actually liked. I just use concealer all over. However I bought the Kosas Revealer Foundation based on your rec, and I am IN LOVE! I’m not sure I’ve ever been so excited over a makeup product.
I actually love how creamy the Purito is. I’m not a fan of runny or serum-y foundations. I use the ELF Cookies and Dreams sponge that you love and stamp it into the foundation and then onto my face. It sinks in well into my skin and wears well through the day.
@@amyamy8177 I haven’t found one I like as much. It has a unique texture that sits well on my skin. Shade #21 is a bit dark but I add the LA white mixer.
I sooo appreciate all the comparisons! That's why I watch your videos haha. These super in depth comparisons are the most helpful, i wittle down my wish list as you go haha I'd love to see a updated top 5 foundations (... and concealers) 😂
Hi Amanda, thank you so much for this declutter video-I’m sure my mega collection could do with same treatment. I found the L’Oreal True Match (with the dropper) to be much more longer lasting than I expected for its texture-I’d recommend keeping that one. Looking forward to watching other declutter videos to see what you ultimately recommend (especially for concealers).
Foundation declutters are my favorite! I would love to see a video covering it cosmetics. I love a lot of their complexion products, brushes, and skincare. Their Superhero mascara is also great! But there is so much from the brand I have yet to try.
Great video!! Satisfying declutter. I have both Shiseido foundations which I alternate depending if my skin is feeling drier (radiant lifting) or more combo/on a hot day (original) and they’re just spectacular. I’ve tried samples of other high end foundations and nothing beats the Shiseido foundations!
Just had to throw away my expired CYO Lifeproof, and your video saved the day! I picked up the N°7 foundation you recommended and I couldn’t love it more
Loved this video. Prior to the new Nars light reflecting foundation and the Kosas foundation my favorite for years has been the Smashbox 24hr hydrating foundation. Definitely doesn’t get talked about, but I think you would enjoy it because we tend to like similar formulas.
The Smashbox 24h hydrating foundation is totally underrated! It doesn’t feel heavy or cakey on the skin and lasts forever if set with loose powder. Also, it melts very beautifully into the skin, and I have an oily/combo skin type with a lot of texture. I used to love it, I need to start using it again!
LYS is cone-free, and good for older and/or dry skin, so if any of you looking to try something like that, consider it. I'm not 100% on with their undertones, hope they offer a few more desaturated hues at some point, but it's got a good ingredient list. I think the color LN3 might work for Amanda, maybe LN6 during the summer.
OMG Amanda... I love, love, LOVE how detailed and meticulous you were in this video. Please do a comparison video of the L'Oréal foundation, the old and new formulation. By the way, that ULTA Complexion Crush foundation is fabulous! It has been my favorite one for the past 6 months. Thank you for your hard work, I appreciate you. 💛
I have oily skin and I used to love EL Doublewear Foundation a lot, but I find it to be too drying and heavy now. I‘ve also decluttered it. I love all of the Nars foundations, in particular the Nars Sheerglow one, it is my holy grail!
I put the Shiseido radiant lifting in my basket and am waiting for my pay check to get it. Fingers crossed I’ll like it, I often have problems with foundations and concealers exaggerating dry spots and Mac face and body is the only one I really use.
Missha BB cream is the best thing I have ever tried for everyday wear, so skinlike and wears great throughout the day on combination skin. So affordable too! I've repurchased many many times.
Soooo underrated! I've brought it out of curiosity and i was speechless! I think most influencers review only new, expensive and sponsored ones , after that you don't see them using those foundations ever ! They reach for they're HG all the time !
i know the declutter is going to be entertaining when the initial shot of all of things gives me anxiety lol. can't wait to hear your opinion on all of these!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation and that line in general. I wonder if you think it’s similar to anything else you’ve tried.
This video is my holy grail lol. Saved it for reference, ive used so many of your recommendations and they are ALL so good❤ thanks Amanda. I want to try the new saie and the beauty blender skin tint next
Hello I’m new here this is the first video I have seen of yours and loved it m, I will definitely be back and look forward to your next video, I love makeup organisation and declutter videos, I have a pretty large makeup collection myself and this inspires me to declutter mine ❤
Pheew 😅, well done. Maybe a future review idea: best foundations with spf, as I love to double up on my spf with make up (IT Cosmetics) Perhaps others do the same?
We have very similar foundation preferences and faves, which makes me so surprised that you don't love like the Lisa Eldridge more 🤷. I am obsessed, it's been my hands down fave since I got it maybe six months ago. ❤
We have essentially identical taste in eyeshadow (to the point that I feel bad for not letting you know how amazing the lorac noir palette is earlier after having bought and loved so many of your recs!), and my HG shadow I think you should really try is the Maybelline single in sterling greige. I know, I had super low expectations for a Maybelline single, but WOW it's amazing. It's a mid-toned slightly cool neutral with a beautiful refined sparkle, and I find it to be a simultaneously approachable but special shadow that feels perfect for any occasion. I'm absolutely willing to pay for quality, but the fact that it's $4 is a fun bonus and makes it easy to travel with or throw in my purse to glam up my look after work for a HH or something!
I’d love to see you try/review more drugstore foundations! We have very similar taste but given the current economic situation, I’d love to venture into some lower cost alternatives 😅
definitely subscribed to see that concealer declutter, i have deep set eyes so i’m excited to see your recommendations! i’m so glad to see the chanel les beiges tint get some love, it’s absolutely stunning. i also love the l’oreal true match serum but i understand that the dropper is a big deal break for a lot of people lol. also, the bird calling at the end was an american robin 🥰
This was incredibly helpful but could you possibly do a top 5 for dry aged skin and top 5 for oily, etc. I still haven’t found a foundation I can’t live without! I’m dry, 50’s skin
I would love a revisit with IT cosmetics. I use the CC illuminating and CCglow. I feel like the regular is better when my skin is dry and the glow is better in the summer when I get oilier.
I remember..long time ago YEARS before IG and YT a bottle of foundation lasted me 9 months and it was a very exciting moment to buy a new and fresh bottle. I need to go back in the minimalistic lifestyle.Greetings from Germany
I would love to see a cream foundation comparison There seems to be so many foundations right now that are like ..cream foundations but also concealers and blurring primers? I would love to know the difference between them.
Love how thoughtful and detailed you are in your declutters and appreciate the mini comparisons!! Super helpful ❤ Would love to see you try the Hera Silky Stay** foundation and also possibly the Laneige Neo Foundation? These have been touted as legendary among the kbeauty community
You have such a wonderful foundation collection. I’ve added at least 5 foundations that I need to get. Top of the list are the Shiseido self refreshing and the Westmann Atelier. Thank you for this video.Yes plse I’m int in a review of IT cosmetics in general
Phew! Really interesting, many thanks. I have the Fridays tint & have worn it to death. I golf on a windy++ course and, believe me, it stays on. Applies evenly, buildable, all the good things. Take your point about cost/volume ratio though …
My holy grail foundation is a toss up between Nyx Born to Glow, Missha BB Cream, and the Kosas. I genuinely can't understand why people love the EL Double Wear! I've never been able to get it to work for me, and sometimes it looks so terrible that I have to take it off and start over with something else. I'm curious how you would prep your skin for that foundation.
It works for oily skin but when you have any dry patches it will exaggerate them by so much. You also have to work quicker with the blending since it can dry down if u take to much time. I like it because on my oily acne prone skin it stays on for super long and it's quite matte so after a few hours there's a slight healthy glow from my natural oily skin.
WOW WOW WOW,This was absolutely the most thoughtful video ever, THANK YOU, you're extremely gifted with remembering the information, then sharing it with us. I found this so helpful! I can't thank you enough ❤❤❤❤
I find the most important product in make up is your foundation. The base makeup can make or break my look. My favourites are the L’Oréal true match nude, Make Up Forever Reboot, the wet n wild tinted hydrator. For a more perfected look I love the Nars light reflecting foundation. For the summer I love the Rose Inc. Thanks for this video. Have you tried the KVD apple serum foundation? I would love your thoughts on that. Before the Sephora sale please. ❤
Hi, we have very similar tastes in foundations and I totally agree that if the base isn’t right, the whole look can be spoilt-as I’m getting into my mid 50’s I’m finding it more of a challenge to get the base right but live in hope that I’ll find the perfect foundation and concealer to cover my dark undereye shadows
WOW Amanda, the amount of work you put into this video is remarkable, I watched half last night and half today. I am looking for a new foundation so I really paid attention.Based on what you talked about I am going to test Shisedo synchro skin radiant..., the missha foundation, the ulta foundation stick. I am almost finished using up Estee L. Double wear stay in place (excellent coverage and skin match for me) and Fenty Hydrating Fndtn Good coverage (too perfumy) PS 61 yo with normal to dry, .
I wanna have your opinion on : the Max Factor Miracle Pure Skin-Improving Foundation (it's sounds good maybe a hidden gem) and also The Catrice True skin foundation (a Holly grail for soo many people and a very loved product) THANK YOU ❤️❤️☺️
My holy grail foundation is Estée Lauder double wear mixed with the elf liquid halo glow. My holy grail product that I have been using for double digit years, is the physicians formula eye boosting eyeliner in dark brown.
I’m loving Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue moisturizing foundation. I have some dryness and texture and I tried it without primer and I looooooved how it looked.
Hi Amanda I use the shiseido synchro skin Glow luminosity fluid foundation. I do not hear anyone talk about it and it is such an amazing serum foundation. Light coverage but skin like and perfecting.
Finally tried the Shisedo SyncroSkin original after eyeing it for forever per your recommendation! I have oily maturing skin and WOW it is so gorgeous and lightweight on the skin 🤩😭
Wish you could send me the saie dew tint 2! I JUST LOVE it, as mum of twi it is my tinted moisturizer to go for every day. ❤ thank you for this video, I loved it 🎉
Hi Amanda! I found your channel about 2 months ago and it's my favorite. Thank you for your in-depth knowledge! This video was a great watch on a relaxing evening, and I'm adding so many foundations to my "to try" list!
Just found your channel! Only thing I wish would have been included is the total you saved and total you decluttered. It’s always interesting to see! The Lancôme foundation is def my old holy grail, but I found it wasn’t forgiving to dry spots and decided to turn towards more natural glowy foundation recently. Thank you for an awesome vid!
I’d love to see a No7 video, and a video comparing your favorite skinlike complexion lines (eg, the Kosas revealer foundation & concealer vs the Shiseido synchro skin foundation & concealer.) I am on the hunt for a good high end brand healthy looking med coverage foundation AND concealer! I am considering Too Faced, Shiseido, Lancôme, and Kosas (now that you’ve mentioned you love Kosas!)
I don’t like how the Armani luminous silk foundation feels like but my god, I look amazing in my id photo😂 very mixed feelings. Thanks for an amazing video Amanda❤❤
What a fabulous collection. I love trying new foundations so have accumulated quite a few. But after your video I have added a few more to my list. One of my favourites is Dior Airflash..unfortunately it has been discontinued. That you for this video, I loved it
Dior Airflash is a beautiful foundation. When it was still available I got a backup and I’m so pleased (I know there are shelf lives on products but I’m hoping that the ‘aerosol can’ format will keep it fresh
I'll be needing to pick up a new foundation in a summer friendly shade in the next couple of months, and after seeing you rave about the Shiseido foundations for so long, I think I'll pick that up if I can find a really good shade match in their line (I'm a fair-light olive so finding a good match can be tricky)...
You know that's funny you saw the bounce skin tint from beauty blender I guess you said kathleenlights I saw tati Westbrook do her review and I had to pick it up and try it I do like it it did look better on her than me but I like it I just found your channel for the way and I'm liking it too hello from Alaska hope you're having a wonderful Thursday
I might need to try the Shisheido. I absolutely hated the Saie- it lasted literally 0.5 hour on me and then it looked horrible. Also my skin itched all day and I felt it all day and could not wait to take it off. I really do like the Lancome care and glow, I just wish they would take that offensive scent out. If they need to put scent make it light and pleasant, not perfume😊
Loved this video Amanda thank u for all of ur foundation reviews!!!! Plz do an it cosmetics video I’m interested in the skincare foundation. Also what shade are you in the Estée Lauder futurist foundation ????
My favorite favorite foundation that gets no online love is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation (the plain skin foundation, not the long wear one). I’d be interested in your thoughts!
Loved watching this-so informative (and soothing)! PS Where are you from? I can’t place your accent (and I’ve never heard the expression “in specific”) so I’m curious ❤
I felt the same way on the L’Oréal nude serum - everyone goes on and on about it but it wasn’t anything special to me. I still want to try Kosas revealer foundation but maybe I’ll try tower 28 sunny days for summer … decisions.!
I don’t understand the hype for the Armani luminous silk, especially for dry skin. It is ok but I actually love the designer’s lift from the brand much better for my very dry skin, that one is really gorgeous…I find😊 I got it instead of the luminous silk at the beginning upon recommendation from the woman at the counter, loved it and then was quite underwhelmed by the luminous one when I got it later (just because of the hype).
Hi Amanda, could you please try and review the Unleashia Glitter Palette? There is one shade in it that i heard that is dupe to the space cowboy. I am so curious about your comparison and thoughts. Thanks in advance🌸
Helpful! I can't wait for concealer collection. I have hollow undereyes. I'm using maybeline Age rewind, I like it, I just go thru it so fast... It's not really saving me money if I am going through it as fast as I am..
I have deep set eyes with sunken undereyes and dark circles. I really like the NARS one in the pot (sorry I don't remember the name lmao) and if you're based in Europe I like Bourjouis Always Fabulous Extreme Resist 24h. I apply both with my fingers only using a tiny amount of product. They both are good to use for 24 months after being opened. I personally didn't get along with the Maybelline Age Rewind but that might be because I have combination skin.
If anyone wants the koh gen do foundation and happens to be travelling to Japan, pick it up here! It's about the price of an average high end foundation here, about $50. I don't know why they upcharge so much in America.
I was excited to hear your thoughts on the Koh Gen Do foundation as I think it’s a beautiful foundation and one of my favorites but it’s the price factor for me definitely overpriced. I was lucky and found it on sale at Macys one time. It was recommended on my google search when I was looking for foundations for mature dry skin. Update: I see it on Yes Style for half the price.
I so appreciate this! It is hard to find a foundation that really works. I tried the shiseido one but find that it sets a little in my pores and lines however the 130 opal shade was perfect. Would it be possible to say which one of the kosas shades you’ve tried that is the most similar to that colour?
It has been SO long since I have had a CYO foundation!! I miss it so so much! I have a question though. I recently bought Sephora’s best skin ever foundation… it seems similar to CYO… I think? It has been so long though I don’t really remember exactly how it looks and feels any more… what are your thoughts?
The fact that you linked all the foundations in the description box 😍 That must have taken so much time.

Finally tried the Shisedo SyncroSkin original after eyeing it for forever per your recommendation! I have oily maturing skin and WOW it is so gorgeous and lightweight on the skin 🤩😭
yes please review it cosmetics!!
Thank you for all your hard work! You have a skin tone close to mine and you’ve given me some great ideas for new products to try!
Yes interested in revisiting it cosmetics!
Hourglass ambient soft glow is my current fave❤
I’d love to see a No7 video, and a video comparing your favorite skinlike complexion lines (eg, the Kosas revealer foundation & concealer vs the Shiseido synchro skin foundation & concealer.) I am on the hunt for a good high end brand healthy looking med coverage foundation AND concealer! I am considering Too Faced, Shiseido, Lancôme, and Kosas (now that you’ve mentioned you love Kosas!)
Wow what a really informative video! What would you recommend for mature, textured dry leaning skin?
Love to see more on IT cosmetics.
Lmao...I don't use foundation OR eyeshadow palettes yet I'm GLUED to your declutter videos omfg
So grateful for this thorough declutter Amanda! ❤️ It really was so useful 😘😘
Yes revisit the it cosmetics foundations
I'll be needing to pick up a new foundation in a summer friendly shade in the next couple of months, and after seeing you rave about the Shiseido foundations for so long, I think I'll pick that up if I can find a really good shade match in their line (I'm a fair-light olive so finding a good match can be tricky)...
Wow, so many foundations & my 2 favorites not among them. Dior Forever & Sephora Best Skin Ever. 😊
Ha! I was waiting for NARS Light Reflecting and surprised it’s not in your collection!
mine broke 😮💨have to get a new one!
@@AmandaZ omg… mine broke too but was able to salvage about half the bottle in a saved little jar! #savethosejars 😘
I’d like to hear more about it cosmetics as a whole - I feel as though there aren’t that many influencers talking about them.
I would love a comparison between the shoseido foundations and the it cosmetics ones!
My favorite favorite foundation that gets no online love is the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation (the plain skin foundation, not the long wear one). I’d be interested in your thoughts!
My ultimate video. Looooove foundation ❤
Loved watching this-so informative (and soothing)! PS Where are you from? I can’t place your accent (and I’ve never heard the expression “in specific”) so I’m curious ❤
Do U ever tried : Guerlain NO-TRANSFER HIGH PERFECTION , Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultra Radiance , Laura Mercier Flawless Lumière , Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow , Surratt , Nars Natural Radiant Longwear , Pat McGrath , BareMinerals , Physicians Formula ? I m just curious ~
Could you check out the Dior Backstage Foundation?
Thanks in advance🌸
one holy grail of mine i don’t think you’ve tried is the thrive concealer!
Nars light reflecting foundation?
If anyone wants the koh gen do foundation and happens to be travelling to Japan, pick it up here! It's about the price of an average high end foundation here, about $50. I don't know why they upcharge so much in America.
Do you have a top 5 or 10 video for these??
This was a really good video. Thanks! I was wondering if you’ve ever tried the Valentino foundation and what your thoughts are!
This is soooo helpful! Thank you!
I love my Pūrlisse PERFECT GLOW BB CREAM SPF 30. I'd love to see you try it! Btw I looove your videos soooo much 🤍
I was excited to hear your thoughts on the Koh Gen Do foundation as I think it’s a beautiful foundation and one of my favorites but it’s the price factor for me definitely overpriced.
I’m surprised you don’t have Sephora’s Best Skin Ever foundation. I’d love to see you try it.
It has been SO long since I have had a CYO foundation!! I miss it so so much! I have a question though. I recently bought Sephora’s best skin ever foundation… it seems similar to CYO… I think? It has been so long though I don’t really remember exactly how it looks and feels any more… what are your thoughts?
did you ever do a video on your makeup library? i would definitely be interested in learning more about it 😂😂
❤❤❤ beauty blender bounce skin tint my number 1
So good!!! And honestly $29 ain’t half bad
