Woah! I did the same thing with my BEC Battery ..... coming out of a series of loops. the battery flew out and a blade caught it .... luckily the heli was coming right side up and I managed to auto it in! the battery is still in action! Go Align Batteries!
Yikes. I had a canopy mishap with my trex 500. I totally recommend those expensive screw on or ball lock pin canopy mounts instead of stock canopy mounts. Stay safe keep simmin.
@juroxzg3 Nope, these batteries do not explode ( actually not possible as there's no chemical gas reaction to ignite in such a direct impact at all ). Instead they can start to smoke heavily and you might see some sparks, but that's not necessarily always the case. It's obvious gravity had it's joy with this battery which destroyed the blades, caused a tail strike and so on. I actually had a loose canopy destroyed WITHOUT crashing my helicopter and it looked nothing like this.
Loose canopy??? Fuck I would have been pissed at myself! T-Rex 700s are NOT cheap! Note to self: This is why you do a pre-flight check.... to include checking to make sure the canopy is secured!
No the canopy came loose hitting the main blades / flybar causing the blades to fold and boom strike. This would have happened if it was flybared or flybarless. How can the flybar hit the blades they are at 90 degrees of each other? You must be use to flying p.o.s coaxial heli's. Classic failure of pre-flight check all it is.
Well, one of out three ain't bad. Bad mechanic to secure the canopy, but bad pilot and cameraman? What are you, are GOD? How can anyone recover from having the canopy go through the rotor disk? And the camerman captured the exact moment the cause of the crash, otherwise we could speculate what happened all day which could lead to perhaps bad pilot. Jeez...some people just need to criticise for the sake of it.
Really? I had over 100 people call me and tell me how sorry they were that my brother died so many times. Where is your humanity? Can't you see that I am trying to cope with the deaths of so many of my brothers? I'm just trying to warn others of the dangers of the RC hobby. It should be banned or licensed with years of training so that no one else will have to go through what I have been going through.
Peter M. He WAS an idiot. He always thought he was going to live forever but found out differently. He once told me that he would probably die in some weird way and that it would make the news. It did. His RC helicopter exploded right in front of his face and the blade cut his artery in his neck and bled to death almost instantly. His head was almost severed and it ruined his clothing. We had to buy a new set of clothes so he could be buried looking good. He was always quite fashionable. He was a transvestite.
Nice job of capturing the carnage cameraman. NOT!! Why do people always turn away from crashes when the crash is a mile away?!! I can see if it is in your face but that was up and away 200' easy!!
Best argument for RCBooya Canopy mounts!

Wow the canopy really made it look like it blew up lol. Dang, guess we live and learn.
It looks like the Blade hit the boom, but I think the the screw holding the thrust washers in the feathering shaft came loose..
"....a little technical failer....,a little..."
Thats why i have rc boya canopy mounts on my t-rex 500, the actually screw on and hold the canopy in place...
Yikes. I had a canopy mishap with my trex 500. I totally recommend those expensive screw on or ball lock pin canopy mounts instead of stock canopy mounts. Stay safe keep simmin.
This wasn't a loose canopy, but a loose battery. The same would have happened without canopy for sure.
ALWAYS do prep flight check list regardless of its size

It seems he have not original replacement parts, or he dont maintain the Heli in good condition!
Ahh, I love watching the ground in crash videos. 0:26
@heligeorge How was it a bad pilot? The canopy fell off and hit the blades. No pilot in the world can save it from that.
It's called gyroscopic effect. The rotor hit the tail and boom shakalaka
I believe it was the canopy that fell off and and hit the blades! Nice videos but don't turn away
That was awesome!!
damn canopy fell off and hit the blades, I've seen several trex helis do that in 600 size... wtf is up with align canopies?
looks like the canopy came off and hit the blades to me
Have you ever seen a Goblin 700 electric explode, check that out and see how it compares to a nitro
There's actually a follow up video of just the ground
it could have been a boom strike, the forces weren't even going in that direction. in fact he was nearly hovering.
Wow, a $1,300+ helicopter in ruins because the canopy was loose.
Is this the Phoenix FunFly?
Loose canopy??? Fuck I would have been pissed at myself! T-Rex 700s are NOT cheap! Note to self: This is why you do a pre-flight check.... to include checking to make sure the canopy is secured!
Are you sure your battery did not come loose?
Over G
lol jk blade prob hit the tail or something?
man... that's a big choptamocoptor...
After i re watched, i think you are right!
Why do they always drop the camera?
it still has 2 blades and no canopy ....sumone forgot to check

was it fixable after the crash
J angel madonado-align trex helis are actually made in taiwan...
$400.00+ DAMAGE from a $50.00 loose canopy.. oh the irony!
I can't decide if the camera man was a failure or the heli...
Canopy got sucked into the rotors. Ouch. :(
Tail boom strike!
i dont understand how ppl keep there cool when this happpens.......i would be mortified if it happened to me
Mine exploded on the ground during spool-up.
That's a Trex 600 canopy...
why it exploded?
lookes like blades hit boom
@gnarlyanimal they wanna look cool on the field
Looks like a taillight failure.

Never would have happened if it was a nitro, lol
Keep behind the net !!
BLADES HAD CONTACT WITH TAIL.....
why is that
Ho-dear out with the credit card again, don,t tell my
wife how much this costs.
Boom Strike !!!!
I had a fantastic fail video of me jumping my RC10GT into the side of a tractor trailer but my camera man decided to get video of him feet.
Boom strike
Head up or heads off!
canopy
Nice explosion. Alot of cash there. Sure your sponsered though.
...Cool guys don't look at explosions!
"That can happen"
@heligeorge Dont to forget the bad anouncer
Sniper Wins
lol, try doubling that!
tail strike dampers to soft
f'ng autospell ""could not have been a boom strike"""
Align is not made in China... :P
Cool guys dont look at explosions!!!!!!!
heckeinschlag
thumbs up if you think was a boom strike
LOL technical wipeout NOT failure
I'm sure it was a terrorist! You can see the incoming RPG at 0:57!!
There have been deaths associated with these RC helicopters. My brother died the exact same way.
That stupid comment is dead punk, not one person still thinks its cool
Really? I had over 100 people call me and tell me how sorry they were that my brother died so many times. Where is your humanity? Can't you see that I am trying to cope with the deaths of so many of my brothers?

Steve smith
He must have been an idot then.
Only beacause he was stupid, it does'nt mean others are that stupid too.

Well, wtf
Flying in front of your face, gotta be safe
Bad cameraman...bad pilot...bad mechanic !

And thats what you get for having ADD's
