You'd be surprised how many can't fly bigger craft because they can't get over the nerves. And they're plenty good enough. Happens a lot in fixed wing. Truth is, the bigger they are, the easier they fly. That is true in fixed and rotor wing. Learning to fly helicopters is hands-down the hardest thing I've ever tried. It's pretty easy to make the kind mistake he made getting good at it.

I've had many crashes myself and hate the gut wrenching stomach you feel as your very expensive bird smashes itself to peices on the ground! It never gets any less awful! LOL. I currently own and fly the Trex 800E and that thing scares the shit outa me!! LOL. Wes, Liverpool UK.
It doesnt matter where on the planet you are It's the same . Shit happens! Although Heli's crash in the opposite rotation on the other side of the equator.
From what I can see, that last stop, rotor first (inverted) with the tail pointing straight up, made the blades hit the tail boom, from there there was no tail control and the heli started spinning. That is why you don’t usually see stops like that. Or tic-tocs with the tail pointing up. Nonetheless, very good flight.
I used to fly 450's but got busy with life. That said an old rc friend offered me to take a spin flying his 600 recently and I had to decline. Too much of a risk and I'm definitely not getting back into it with a 600. Sorry you destroyed your 700...
I love his reaction shit happens yup I agree I had my first major crash of my 450 size heli and that went with a thump broke main blade,bent spindle shaft and tail boom and stripped main drive gear lucky those are plastic and it saved quite a lot of damage even so a silly mistake going left instead of right caused that total repair bill £160 I'd dread to think the repair cost of this beast

That helicopter is massive and awesome! Better than mine. V950 WLTOYS. It's not a good ideating kinds of stunts because those things happen from the effect. All I do is speed around my paddock

It's good you can laugh it off, perform crash repairs, and fly again. I'm not a pro but I could tell well before you got into that maneuver that your overall 3D level wasn't where it needed to be to pull off a piro-flip comfortably. In a simulator I can fly and hover in any orientation quite comfortably. Funnel isn't even a trick anymore, it's just me flying in a circle with the sides as the nose and tail in that orientation. I can hover in any orientation too while pirouetting in either direction. With all that, I still can't do piro flips. I probably could have learned them by now if I went straight for it, but it's rather dangerous to if I need to come out of it and find myself in an orientation I'm not used to recovering from which it looked like happened here. Crashing happens, but you can prevent some of them by sensible practice before attempts are made. I feel like with every new flight, you have to re-connect with your collective to avoid hitting the ground, during flips and such. If you observe too much of a drop in height after a maneuver that should have held steady, cancel your flow into the next if it might further drop things or your new plan is to execute it in a way that raises your height back up otherwise you're going to hit the ground. Seen to many tic-tocs crashes when the prior collective switch dropped far too much height to have attempted another switch.

He didnt loose orientation if you look again you will see that his tail went thats why it went into the spiral of death just before it hit the ground..when this happens and you loose tail end control your basically screwed and your heli takes a dirt dive.
I was like wow this guy just pile drived it into the ground, didn't even try to flip it either way LOL :). Great crash though, I saw about 800 in damage on this one.

LOL like Vbar is the only unit out there with rescue feature. Vbar's rescue is mediocre. If one wants really amazing rescue features, then Spirit or Bavarian Deamon are the only choices.

Align is the biggest biggest shit! Parts are weak, the helis explode in the air, align electronics are for the trash! You get cheap quality for a cheap price so Align gets rich! At first with replace parts!

That's why I hate flying helis with a cloudy, gloomy sky. It's very easy to loose orientation if your not careful.

Didn't look like the tail to me. He didn't push the stick forward, just nosed dived, tail woudn't cause that.

I just dont get this 3D flying with helis, just a quick way to trash a perfectly good heli.
3D flying focuses more on pilot skills. Scale helis focus more on the helis themselves. Nothing wrong with either things.
