Yes! I use mostly rhythm tracks I've produced especially for my classes. Arabic and Middle Eastern music is rich in rhythms, and some are just torture for student dancers, such as a Taqsim or some of the more complicated and intricate Turkish rhythms. It's just more enjoyable to learn when the music is simple, then you can focus your brain on learning the moves!!!

@@itam1865 look for DJ Wassi & DJ Nader, they both produce their own stuff in LA, and you can try Google for instrumental Arabic Middle Eastern music, You'll get a lot of orchestrated classical Egyptian but it's all good!
There is an Arabic grocery store near me and when I go in there I hear the music and have to hold back from shimmy-ing and hip dropping in the aisles. (Like in one class you compared your hip bumps like getting through in Costco line, 😅😂)

Most of the music I use are rhythm tracks I had produced especially for class so we’re not distracted by crazy rhythm changes or lyrics. For anything else you’ll find artists names & song titles under the description, just click more for info and additional links!
hi miss portia, i just found your belly dancing video yesterday and i enjoyed your classes! was thinking to sign up for your online livestream as im based in uk. but i noticed even though the youtube video is watchable - the quality of video is very blur(more like 240p on my screen) for me even though its set to 1080p. so was thinking if the online classes are like that too./ is there a trial class i can join?
