I like the change in the sky and the addition of the tree on the side! I think the tree helps push it back!

Pallette blocking

When you started blocking in, it was interesting to see you just bounce around adding different colors to get your "feel" of the painting. As with any blocking stage, you can't really tell how good it will be, until you start adding the details... Then this little painting started looking so realistic at the end, that I was captivated! I have GOT to do some studies like that in oil, because I have pushed so hard for the larger paintings, and it takes forever, that the little paintings can be just as impactful as this one is. You have been an inspiration to me and what I do, from the first time I saw your videos, I was hooked!
Wonderful job, and keep up your progress... You're work is just getting better each time I see it!
Thank you❤❤❤
I just got the 22x32 print of "Total Bliss" When I am able I am going to get one of your Aurora Borelis ones.

I always watch you and learn from you . Thanks for showing it very nice ❤
Belíssima obra. Amei ❤❤❤
Very tranquil 😊. One day I might try oils. Still happy with acrylics for now, but the blending possibilities and ease oils bring to a piece definitely is attractive.
This is really awesome. What a beautiful scene indeed.
Fantasía 👌👌👌👌
Bravo! You almost made look as good as Midjourney! 😅
Beautiful painting. I miss your other video style though when you would talk and give tips.
Sometimes watching what he does versus what he says helps a lot. Helps you focus on his technique without distractions
hey Chuck, Kevin Hill mentioned in a video he would love to interview you and get in touch - it would be sick if that happens
Hello. I’m curious to know the time it took for this study in oil. I am transitioning back to oil after many decades and don’t want to be unrealistic on how much time a small painting such as this will take. I didn’t see any rest/drying periods indicted. With acrylic the time between layers and blending is so much shorter than oils.
I did this in a morning, but it took me years to get to that point. The level of understanding that oils takes will cause you to take longer using them at first, but I think they have the potential to be faster in the end once you are comfortable with them.
Great question. I’ve shied away from oils for that reason. The drying and waiting periods. Avid acrylic painter here. Also, I have kids, can’t guarantee they won’t touch a work in progress. I am however amazed with Chucks answer, in just one morning?! That’s amazing 😮😊. Might be hope after all (after I learn how to paint with oils that is).
What color you use?
Do you still have some acrylics youre not using that you are looking to give away?
No, in fact I need to buy some again so that I can paint remarques on the upcoming duck stamp prints.
@@chuckblackart ahhh
I remember an older video you had lots of open acrylics
Have you tried rosemary and co brushes? They're awesome
Good luck
Can a feller learn how to do that??? Or is that all God sent??
Trust me if I learned, so can you. My talent is my creative imagination that I think I have. The skill of painting was a nightmare for me to learn, but I stuck with it long enough that I figured it out.
who else is watching from mortuary 🥺😂😂😂
Sir, which other shades of blue suits best for this type of sky? @chuck.black
Ultramarine or cobalt is perfect
