There is nobody who captures the joy of twiddling knobs and making weird noises like mylarmelodies. These are not gear reviews but love letters to electronic instruments. Thank you for the inspiration.
I think your original Atlantis video was the first one of yours I've ever watched. Nice to see it coming home with this one. Absolutely sound wizard you've become. ❤
Another excellent mylarmelodies videos. Been hanging for this one. Time to get working on my own Atlantix video now that mine has finally arrived. This are the Eurorack semi-modular synth voice I’ve been looking for 😎
you sold me atlantis, metropolis, metropolix (where my music was already on a hiatus). I'm just getting out of that hiatus. I hope. But I wan't fall for it again ;) Absolutely nice.
@@mylarmelodies on my way back to Toronto from Eu/Iceland etc - after party thingamabob this Friday= deffo trying out some of these patches!! Have all the System 80 wonder modules, too! Squidgy happenings happening :D
Wow 🙏 thanks for this showcase and absolutely amazing jam. Atlantix is great piece into modular. Warning to others: although this is great module, don’t expect to have the same results and out of the world jams unless you are lucky and find Mylar in the package as well
Not only can the Atlantix do almost everything you might ever want a mono synth to do,... what people don't understand how HARD this thing can go. And no matter how hard I push it, it always sounds good.
I’m loving my Atlantix and this video has been super helpful and inspiring. I have only really been introduced to Acid through your videos on different Intellijel modules and the 303 focused system (I bought an Acidlab m303 this morning!) and I’m curious, might you suggest a good jumping off point for a foray through the essential Acid listening experience? Some of the jams in your videos end up getting into some really pretty territory. The ripping, squelchy stuff is awesome too but the more melancholy/melodic stuff is a vein I’d love to explore. Is there a subgenre of Acid that is perhaps less face-melty and maybe more mellow but still utilizes that 303 deliciousness? Artists? Albums? Do you have any of your own releases because they are indeed 🔥.
Super video as Always!! Thanks man!! I have a stupid question probably ...if i use pamela instead of tiptopz8000 for transpose the metropolix, sending a quantize Square every 2 bar for example, in the aux in of metropolix , do you think Will work as work with the tiptop that you use??? Let me know what you think id you can, because i would like tò do as you do a trasposition in metropolix and i would like tò figure out How. Thanks again , your video are Amazing and i love How you enjoy the music during the process😊
You want a more complex stairstepped modulation from Pam’s to emulate the 16 steps in Z8000, the turing machine loopy modes in the newer ones should do the trick, slowed down to one change per bar?
I have a question ...the red cable in the Pitch A together the pitch sequencer A ....are from other module of course ...but why or wich is this function in this case?...2 cables at the same PITCH A? GREAT VIDEO SR...I have the atlantiX too ...and want to learn somethings... Thanks 🙏
Amazing stuff as always! How close is the Atlantix to the Cascadia - can you consider the cascadia as a atlantix+ or are they both distinct / different.
I definitely would think of Cascadia as “Atlantix Pro” - and I think they do have some sonic similarities and circuitry, where Cascadia has every bell and whistle imaginable (and more range as a result) defo Atlantix has immediacy and simplicity. I’d say it’s a case of whether you fancy the simpler approach or the more complex one, and budgets and form factor preferred obviously!
@@mylarmelodies thanks for the feedback. I had the OG altantis and loved it for its simplicity. I have the cascadia and with my limited time (3 x kids, 2 x dogs) missing the altantis and the altantix just sounds so good. i probably need to lock myself in a room with a sequencer, cascadia and a my old various quadraverbs etc.
@@mylarmelodies cheers for the feedback. I had the atlantis years ago and loved it but decided to sell due to too much 101 / 202 / 303 in my life. I have a cascadia which is pretty special but i do miss the simplicity of the atlantis (limited time - 3 kids, 1 wife, 2 dogs etc) and what seems to be delivered by the atlantix!
it touches upon the 101 sound but certainly is not one and misses that core 101 sound found on countless records. It is however an excellent module in its own right. Probably the best module ever made.
Are you not listening on decent speakers or headphones? The synth sounds are clear as day. Super easy to differentiate from the simple delay/reverb utilized. Sounds great!

These jams are insane

And there is another album - done.
These jams are out of this world man! Absolutely amazing, what a musician you are! Massive thanks for sharing this with the world.

Lovely demo. That jam at 21 mins is proper ace.
That soft acid with the Cascadia section was so good! The rest of your sound explorations were truly tip top too, but I loved that part so much
Thank you!!
Incredible demo, every single jam sounded amazing
Wow thank you very much, this video is what I needed to learn the atlantix !
Masterful, acid techno party gas-inducing ode to a very creative and fun synth!

Thaaaaaankssssssss! Right on time for my learning journey. Have atlantix now for a month and needed a nice overview since than ❤
Hi from France ! This is an amazing video, amazing set up and amazing energy and altruism. Thank you, perfect...

Got to say it!!
That simple title puts it on my radar!!
I could buy a vintage SH-101 or…..
I am usually the “or”person!!
Thanks for your video!!
Love the sound, thx and @all have a nice day

Ace. That’s the good stuff right there 👌
Awwww man that final jam!! Wooooooo!!
This almost rivals the legendary System80 Jove video! Sensational.
Damn it, it hooked me in, i was only going to skim through the vid, still here at the end. Good stuff!!
🫡 thanks m8
Beautiful ending ❤️❤️❤️❤️✨✨
This looks crazy fun😊

Beautiful !
Album release of all this please...
I have to say that intellijel should be sponsoring you. How many intellijel modules have I bought because of you...
something wonderful
I see cizzle in there, any plans to do a video on that? your videos are always my favourite
gloriously hectic
Was Metropolix doing all the melodic sequencing? Just the A and B outputs? Once again, lovely, lovely jams.
Ace
the FM patches are wild
The FM on this was way more musical than I expected, that’s thru zero for you I guess!
Same with ring mod
Ace!

Ooh! The squidge at 12:00. Please, sir, may I have some more?
20:00 you have delivered more squidgy goodness! And our friend Sealegs! Wheeee!

Does anyone like these tiny sliders over knobs, for anything besides volume control? They give less control that a knob at this size, in my experience
Now hopefully time for a lot of used atlantises to start showing up on reverb

Question - are you using any additional module for glide? Especially in the (beautifully sounding!) Drumkit Acid section?
Thanks m8. Yep it’s the Metropolix handling the sequencing, and it can create glide!
@@mylarmelodies Thanks for the info :)
I believe indeed the pope does brown the leaves.
Is it a "essential" upgrade of the Atlantis ? it's time for me to choose between the two , i need a suggest. thanks
Wouldn’t say essential is the right word, but Atlantix definitely has more range/scope, at the cost of…cost
Can I please ask what sequencer you’re using to give us this magic? Great demo
Check description for details but it’s Intellijel Metropolix throughout the whole vid for melodies
Did I lose my mind or did we already see mylarmelodies with this device closer to release time?
Your mind's not lost, he posted a shorter vid a couple of months ago.
I cannot entirely confirm if your mind is or is not lost but yes I did a little jam video when it launched!! Link in description
Fair point - two things can be true
Does the Pope poo in the woods is the kind of joke I would make that no one would notice. Nice.

New mixing desk ? Nice ?
Yep bagged a deal on a Midas!
Yessss! Been waiting for this one 😎
Did that intro contain some squarepusher? Some 1990s warp records? Did I hear that?
That music is built into my psyche at this point
No. No. No. I already have an original Atlantis. So I don’t need this one. Right? Aww darn who am I trying to fool here…
Shut up And Take My Money😂😂
Oops, all acid

That last jam is…… unnmph
