4:02 I like to have torque enabled on the reaction wheels on rovers, but set the mode to SAS only. Then when driving, turn on SAS in locked mode. This helps stabilize the rover especially on low gravity planets. With SAS only selected, manual controls won’t tip the rover.
@@clowderman88 glad it worked! When I’m driving fast on low gravity planets I’ll switch the SAS mode to prograde. That way if I jump a dune the rover will keep its orientation and land all wheels down… Baja truck style.
Fantastic video! So many helpful tips for my rover build. I've been having an awful (awful but still enjoyable cause it's KSP) time trying to figure out some of these issues.
You can actually leave the braking power at 100% on the rear wheels, as they won't flip your car. Great video and very helpful!

Thank you for mentioning this! I've just tried it and it does make it much better! :D

Dude, this is genius!
Finally, we get to see a not so bad design rover. Other players still tried their best good-looking rover, and they'll still get better. 😊
I'm a simple rocket scientist: when Clowderman posts, I click like and settle in for a half hour of great content. 😌
That was a very nice build indeed, great attention to detail!

My favourite KSP2 UA-camr now. Thanks for another VAB masterclass!
Really bugs me that radial symmetry flips the tyre treads on one side.
Randomly showed up on my suggested videos; great build! Subbed!
Any idea what to do if the rovers move pretty significantly on their own? Without using any controls
happens to me as well
How much does it weigh?
It weighs 1.44 tons :)
