You are a gem! I’d give my right arm if we could be neighbours. It’s unlikely though since I live in Canada. I’ve got a project resource centre of my own and a million ideas but I need to get hustling ‘cuz I’m already 80. Spent far too much of my life making a living and not making things. Love your channel and hope it’s a big success! Cheers!
I'm glad I'm not the only one in the world that like to repurpose stuff. That horrible thing called work gets in the way of playing. I have a bit of time at the moment it is our wet season and the ground is to wet to do much outside. John
I think it would take a bit of imagination to call me an engineer more handy. Not much else we can do at the moment other than play in the shed raining. John
@10:28 if you locate the device a little to the right of the 90 degree vice brackets and you cut the 8-10mm diameter steel rod that locates the wire shorter , you may be able to use the device to twist the wire in that action you do at 10:28 . alternatively you can use a 10mm steel hollow cylinder to pace it over the wire and bend up without doing it with your fingers .
G'day Jim and family I tried a few out and actually they work good I think better than staples by a country mile and anyone can use a screw gun but not everyone can use a hammer and you cant overtighten them and if you have to take them out to fix the fence its easy. Getting staples out of Australian hardwood is hard for that matter driving them in can be hard. One thing I have thought of is on wooden fence droppers they would be excellent. John
Just a thought, would something based on the idea of " No Sag " upholstery clips be faster to stamp out?. Love your videos, real down to earth. Thanks.
EXCELENT work JOHN, you make that clip's so easy, that I think ya will maybe need the LAW specialist soon :) Im just joking but I must admit you step on this problem like I will if I need, LOT OF HALF fails and later result is 1000% what you need, I like that spirit. You acting like me, today for example, I got a call from my pass away friend wife, who own a BAR, and she said F... cash register stop working (is a PC computer) I say well I can go there to see what is wrong, and she say okay, but you must knew we are all in LOCKDOWN, the BAR'S CAN ONLY sell COFFE to GO, and that's the problem, I cant go there to fix the problem and SHE can not WORK if she can't give a recipe for a cup of cafe. SO I jump in, on the back door, and fix that PC in a idk minute or less, to start a work, and she can work (give recipe and pay the TAX) I hope this crapy cash register PC will stay work to the end of the week, and than I can fix the hardware I HOPE. Im say hello and Gday to AU, all good JOHN
G'dat Primoz yeah if at first you dont succeed have another go. I am glad the lady got the FXXXing register working electronics computers are good when they are working but a pain in the arse when they won't. John
I guess there is a bit of truth there. It is not my intention and if I used more than a few I would buy them. It was more the challenge of seeing if I could make the machine Jig thing. John
Great idea, & takes ou the need for the overpriced nail/staple guns with their expensive cartridges & gas cans, but ain’t it Davo’s design, & I should think it’s patented, so your actually steeling his design.

Thanks for the tip. John
i can see where these can be used on most wire or mesh type fence. great .. stay safe. gary
Yes I can think of a few places where we could use them. Staples have never been my favourite thing unless they are in a staple gun. John
As always great idea great video
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. John
That grinding work looks hard. You look like you're a pro at it!
G'day Ernie Hatmaker. I have done a lot of grinding making sculptures and like anything if you do it a lot you get good at it. John
Good job. Thank you 😊
Thanks for watching. John
What a legend!
Thanks for watching and commenting. John
Hey I would buy one of those machines. We are using fence staples and they do not sell those clips here. Jim

What gauge of wire do you use What type of wire do you use?
It was 8 gauge wire long life plain fencing wire. John

Sorry to make you lose sleep!! Ha!
It was an interesting exercise and now I can make as many as I want. John

I don't know who's idea it is and I am not selling the clips. I am showing how I made a machine to make them. Thanks for your input. John
