Hello:) I think the video is amazing but even though 漢字 and 汉字 sounds the same in Chinese and Taiwanese mandarin, Taiwan actually uses a thing called “注音zhu yin” more than just pinyin. Which would be ㄏㄢˋ ㄗˋ in this case! Just an additional information, please let me know if anyone knows better and correct me if I’m wrong:)

Though with ancient orthography was "Nichih(p)on"? So should've the last three spots (Man'yō, Sō, and Hentai) have 4 characters? Like shouldn't Man'yōgana be "爾智穗无" instead?
