I literally didn’t realise 90% of this were similar I just registered them as completely different characters. I only had problems with ma, nu, wa, ne and re
Something that I found helped me a lot to recognize Hiragana characters and my reading speed was to search Japanese songs that I like with Japanese lyrics and try to sing at the same time while reading them (do NOT use romanji). You might see the similar characters and get confused but once you hear the pronunciation in the song you actually absorb that info quickly. It's also lots of fun and since songs use a lot of words relatively fast they are a good place to get a bit of practice. Hopefully this can be of help to all of you as well.
@@imran19187 Even better since songs tend to repeat verses a lot and you might end up learning a few new kanji. And even if you don't it doesn't matter, you just skip the kanji you don't know and sing while reading the Hiragana, the exercise is to better differentiate characters and improve your reading speed after all.
This comment has much the same energy as, "Something that I found helped my six-month-old baby a lot to learn to walk and his running speed was to put him on a treadmill set to 10 miles per hour." Hopefully this can be of help to all six-month-old babies out there!
I am Brazilian who likes the Japanese language. I already write all the Hiragana and I'm recording the Katakana writing and I've also memorized some Kanjis. If Japanese used only Hiragana and Katakana would be simpler, Kanji need a lot of dedication. But I find it a very fascinating language, as well as culture and education. My dream is to one day attend Kabuki theater and Taiko performance. 先生、どうもありがとうございます ☺☺
i would like to tell you this. no, its actually more complicated without kanji. without it, sentences would be WAY to hard to comprehend while reading. since japanese has no spaces, Kanji makes it easier, kanji pops out of the sentence to the eye. Example: without kanji にわにはにわにわとりがいる without context u see how hard this is without kanji? now with kanji, its much easier. 庭には二羽鶏がいる (there are two chickens in the garden) kanji are like pictures, it makes the sentence easier to read. But i agree with you, it takes huge dedication to learn it.
The pronunciation of Japanese is so similar to Czech, that I like it very much. Even few words have same or similar meaning, so as an autistic person, I am up to this challenge.
Japanese is interesting, I like it, to memorize the symbols of Hiragana and Katakana. I try to think of what could make me remember them. "Sa/さ" and "Ki/き" looks like a grinning man exposing his nose wearing a conical hat.

I never actually thought of あ and め as looking similar until now.

I've just been admiring his fingernail on his thumb
It's so smooth, shiny, and reflective
I can see the reflection of the paper and characters!
日本語を習い始めた時、ひらがなで「わ」、「れ」と「ね」を見たら形似てるなと思っていた。そして古典の授業が始まり「ゐ」の時を見て「昔るの字はそんなもんだったか」と思いびっくりしていた。何とかその廃止された二つの字(ゐとゑ)が結構好きですね。一方カタカナの方(ヰとヱ)があまりね。

Great video - can you please show us the correct way to differentiate between Shi シ and N ン? This one is the hardest!
Just remove one line from Shi and it's an N
Try shi and tsu and n and só LOL

ひらがな覚え始めた頃、た と な、似てると思ってたんだよね^_^;
普段から使っているから何とも思わないけど、よく考えると日本語って……エグいね。
What about さ (sa) and ち (chi)?

す and む look pretty similar too, I think.
Sa looks like a smiley face. Ki looks like a smiley face with eyebrows lol
「た」「こ」「め」「ぬ」みたいに同じパーツがあっても読み方に共通点が有るとかそういう感じじゃないから混乱するんかな🤔
「わ:和」とか「れ:礼」とか「ね:祢」って元になった漢字が違うのに何で三文字とも「ろ:呂」「そ:曽」「る:留」に線を一本突き刺した見た目になったんだろうか
