- It's starting! Woo hoo! Finally we & you, get to see our new caravan. The chassis has arrived and its got all the trimmings that Troy was after. We then go through the colours and layout in detail and make more changes again! OMG this is going to be amazing and hopefully we'll take delivery in about a month. Come on the journey with us to see what we're getting and how it's looking.

Getting exciting guys!!! What’s with the welds on the chassis?? At 13:12 I would not be happy with that if it was my van that is not going to last!

That van is going to be bulletproof (Australia proof!). The checkerplate covering the water tanks and underbody parts etc is a magic idea, extended drawbar will make reversing a dream and wheels compatible with the LC will give you a lot of peace of mind.

Not quite, you’ll have to wait for the build and weigh in. We have also increased our GCM to the max.

Really happy for you guys with the new van but I would not be happy with the welding on your chassis. As this is my job as a welding inspector and we are at present dealing with a lot of VicRoads and ADR issues.
I would suggest that welding procedures and Quality plans are not in forced.
This is only from what I have seen on this UA-cam and I could be completely wrong but as per AS 1554.1 under cut and complete lack of fusion were evident.
Is any NDT done at all on there chassis’s? Just for peace of mind.
Thanks, Kim. It is great to know we really appreciate your thoughts and experience. We're obviously not welding experts. All we know is that each chassis gets an engineered inspection and has to comply. They also have a 5-year warranty.
A fully galvanised chassis 👍
Actually made from Duragal and welded, not hot dip galvanised witch would be heavier but is far better.
With a 5 year warranty 🤔

Hey both, hope this finds you well, really enjoying your channel……. Just curious, does the wheel stud pattern match with your cruiser? Obviously meaning your spares are interchangeable, and if so, was it an easy process to coordinate with Great Aussie?……. Keep up the great content….. Cheers….
Hi, thanks for following along. yes, we will have the same wheel pattern as the land cruiser. Nah GA organised it with Tuff Ride suspension with no problems 😊
We are just finalising our Plans I wanted to move our electrical system behind the fridge with an external Wolf Fabrication vented panel. But they weren't keen 😢. How much extra were the dirty life's ?

Great clips guys. Have been watching your channel since you purchased your first van and the 300 series. We now have our own 300 and are seriously looking at a GA Xplora 20’6” with club lounge.
Will your wheels in the van have the same offset as the 300 (+40) and are you installing 18” wheels? We’ve been looking at the Zone which uses 18” wheels but the offset (from Cruisemaster) is not compatible.
Also, I want to up-spec my power management system from the standard Projecta they offer to either the Intelli-RV model or even an Enerdrive RV80+. Would love to hear what you have optioned for.

Yes, our van will have 65/65R18 compatible with our LC300. Tuff Ride suspension is compatible.
We are going with Projecta intelli Grid system. I'm sure you'll be able to pick what system works for you 👍

No, l don't believe so. Unless it's at the eleventh hr that you make big changes
I'm not going to be rude and ask how much is it costing but can I ask, is it much more expensive to plan your own lay out compared with getting a standard lay out?
Our van is going to cost well over 100k. You don't get charged extra to have your layout changed. it depends on what series you go with, whether they can make changes or not.
