I have a Big Tex 14LP dump trailer 14,000 pound capacity 16 foot long. I purchased it in June 2021. It came with the spare tire, and cargo cover for $9250 dollars I did add the wireless control to dump. I got it on Amazon for $75. It is the same brand that Big Tex has listed as an optional accessory. I am not sure where you live, but I live in PA. I can go to the same dealership I got my trailer from and get the same trailer you have for $7800 dollars.
Custom things that you have done are well and purpose thought out. I have a 5x12 myself. Between where your cylinder connects and the front of the frame i added expanded metal to carry tie down equipment. It was quick and cheap set up a couple pieces of angle iron to support the middle. I really should add a 1/4" plywood or rubber belt to it, every thing gets covered in road grime. Added a bunch of storage that is secured underneath the dump bed.
I didn’t realize dump trailers went up that much. I bought mine in 2020 for $6,950. It’s a Texas Pride Trailer 14’ 14K goose neck, dump trailer, damn inflation. All together I’ve hauled over 200 hundred tons with no problems.
Super amazing! I have one and currently struggling with my capacity. This video inspired me to do this exact same setup!!! Thank you sir. One question what kind of protective coating did you use for the wood?
Sweet man. I just bought me a 12x7 bigtex. I am adding sides now. 2x4 don't fit in the slot. I guess a little Carpenter work is needed to customize the fit. I need those type of back doors. I also am interested in making mine a cordless remote too. Where did you get the remote?
I can not get over how well made the doors are, do you have any blue prints or anything like that you could share about them I'd like to put a set on my trailer.

Thanks for the feedback. Im in Northern California, bought it in December of 2021 and paid $12K 🤦🏻♂️ just bare trailer. No spare tire, and side railings, nothing!
Hola amigo disculpe una pregunta quiero comprar una traila usada de dumped de la Marca solo me la estan vendiendo vendiendo en 5000 Dolores dos anos de me podria dar una idea acerca de esto
Hey man, I have to say this was I get idea I have the same trailer and soon as I seen the video I had the same done on mine. I'm interested in how you did your wireless remote?
It was actually somewhat a headache but you definitely need to get some diodes to make it work. Maybe I can upload a video on how to do it. Definitely a game changer when you are by yourself at the dump. Easy work.
Outstanding build, Super Great ideas and obviously a Beautiful trailer, Great Job!!!! 👍🏼👏🏼🤠
Thank you 🙏🏻

Those custom doors are out of this world. Going to show my welding guy this video so he can make me some. Awesome trailer congrats my guy 💪🏽
Appreciate that bud. Goodluck on your build. 🤙🏻
Man, THAT is a really nice SETup! Great ideas!
It has definitely been efficient with the set up I have. 👍🏻

Appreciate the feedback. I was actually thinking of adding extra storage somewhere. Something that will seal good for rain conditions.

Unfortunately I did. I believe they have gone down since I bought mine. But its made enough money to pay for itself. 👌🏻
200 tons isn’t much for a 2020. Are you gay?
what did you stain the lumber with that looks great
This is the video I have been looking for.. Nice job!!
Thank you man! 👍🏻
Super amazing! I have one and currently struggling with my capacity. This video inspired me to do this exact same setup!!! Thank you sir. One question what kind of protective coating did you use for the wood?
Adding the boards are a must depending on your needs! And I don’t recall the stain color name. Sorry.
Nice job… I really like the rear doors. Time to make mine
Definitely can pack a ton more with them!
Great setup 👍
Thanks 👍
Very nice setup, thanks for sharing. This video was very helpful
Thanks for the feedback. 👍🏻
What a clean set up
Appreciate the feedback 👍🏻
man i am falling in love with your trailer ...it isso beautyful ....i am looking to buy one just like that.
I definitely recommend big Tex. I have not had one single issue with it..
Man, your trailer is solid!
Still going strong. 👍🏻 but appreciate it.
Nice trailer, what type of truck are you pulling it with? Is it a half-ton truck?
GMC 2500. Small 1500 will pull it depending on load weight.
Awesome dump trailer ! Congratulations!
Thanks David 🤙🏻
Nice job! I lock everything as well! Keep honest people honest!
Not taking any risks lol.
If I lived near you, I would 100% pay your pal to weld those gates onto my trailer.
Good idea on the ramps bro
Appreciate it 🤙🏻

Where did you get the remote?
2x4 won’t fit. Just have to shave a little bit off to fit. And just got the remote at harbor freight. It’s technically for a winch.
Great video. Just got one of these. I need to figure out how to make those dope extensions.
Hope my video can help with that. Thanks for the feedback. 👍🏻
How are the custom gates holding up
Solid! I have to take my hat off to my welder. Best in the game!
Nice set up!!!!
Appreciate it. 👍🏻
And I set up I'm thinking about getting me a trailer About that size Next year I usually go around and trim shrubs And do Clean apps
You’ll be golden with this size. I have done plenty of those and have no problem doing clean ups in one trip! 👍🏻
Big tex, be wise, and pj all owned by same company
Thanks brotha for this video! This was a similar idea I wanted to do. Best with of luck with everything. Cheers
Glad I can share! 🤙🏻
nice setup
Thank you! 🤙🏻
super clean!! You stain your boards?
Appreciate it the feedback! Correct I did. Few coats and still looks brand new. 👍🏻
@@outdoorchampions1 which stain did you use?
I can not get over how well made the doors are, do you have any blue prints or anything like that you could share about them I'd like to put a set on my trailer.
Sorry I actually don’t. We just sort of out it together as we went lol.
@@outdoorchampions1 thank you for the reply
Show this video to any decent welder and they'll put this up for you easy
@@pavelkolp good idea
impressive. good job.
Thank you Terry. 👍🏻
Excellent job.
Thank you 👍🏻
Ever wish you would have gone with a little larger ? Maybe 7’ x 12’ or 14’ ?
Due to my free storing situation, no 😅 this thing packs a punch for what I use it for.
Brother did you pull that with a regular gas truck or is your truck the new 3.0 diesel?
Baby 3.0 diesel. Gas truck will pull it just fine. Might struggle depending on how much weight is in trailer, but it will do the job.
$12k for a 10 footer 10k GVWR, ouch!
Right? 😒 now they are like 8500! 🥲
What boards did you use and what color stain
Cheapest lumber. And stain color, I don’t remember.
How tall did you make those walls ? 4ft?
Roughly about 2’ tall
Very nice 👍. I have a big Tex utility trailer
So far no problems with my Big Tex. 🔥
Great ideas
Ty! 🤘🏻
Wow amazing what you did with a big text. I have the same I almost gave up on it. I feel it’s a piece of shit it came with zero upgrades thanks.
What color stain did you use .where did you get your rim lock and what brand .please
I’ll have to double check on the stain.. but the wheel lock is just a trimax nut lock. I ordered on Amazon. Few bucks. 👍🏻
@@outdoorchampions1 that would be awesome I really love the color I just Extending my side on my trailer and now looking for a good stain color.
Have fun with all your problems with those junk big tex
Let’s hope not….
Such as????
@@secretjourney4815 not sure what he meant. But I haven’t had one single issue yet…. Knock on wood.

Sin problem que si puede la ford! 👍🏻
What size are the decals in the back the, font size?
I’m not exactly sure on the font size but the section they are placed on the trailer they are about 7” in height.

Amazon. Sending the link over. Nothing that’s not breakable but at least it throws people off a little. Trimax A-33060-SPK TNL740 Spare Tire Nut Lock for Side Mount Spare Tires www.amazon.com/dp/B0031XULHK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_29WAAQZBDZ9M4HG58RHF
What size wood it thag
12” boards
That’s a nice place if they let you dump
Mixed yard waste and municipal waste. Not happening in my town for sure.

Que tamaño tiene la traila?
Paint it black when it dries.
Was actually thinking of doing that from the beginning…
1/2 or 3/4 ton truck?
Just a 1/2 ton. Trailer isn’t big so a 1/2 does the job. I’ve had trailer extremely heavy and truck does just fine.
@@outdoorchampions1 Do you think your truck could have handled a 7x12? Why did you go with 7x10?
@@basedclip you need a cdl if the trailer is over 10000 pounds i believe
That's a little bitty trailer
Little bitty trailer is capable of bringing in mucho dinero

Just on Amazon. They have all different sizes depending on trailer size. 👍🏻
