- I don't know what to say about this one, well what I can say is that
I went through 3 pairs of shoes, one covered in juice, one covered in honey and the third well I'm still wearing that one.
on Thursday the oil in our fryer cooked over (or however you say) and oil spills are the worst, THAT same day at supper we ran out of food and people were standing in line waiting for it.
all in all I was tested this week, but we also had good days that might have canceled out the bad ones a bit.

Baked rice: 8:02
recipe in vlog 104
Pot stickers: 8:34
6 lbs ground pork.
4 cups shredded cabbage.
5 carrots - shredded
a tbsp minced garlic
tbsp green onions-thinly sliced
1 cup hoisin sauce.
1 cup soya sauce
1 tbsp ground ginger
2 tbsp sesame oil
3 tsp ground white pepper
Makes 280 potstickers. Use wonton wrappers. or pot sticker wrappers place on greased. cookie sheet and steam 10 mins. Then brown on pan with oil.
Pot Sticker Sauce
I cup brown sugar
1/3 cup White sugar
1/2 cup soya sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cornstarch.
2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan bring to a boil, reduce to low & Simmer. -If sauce is too thin add a bit more cornstarch.
mexican lasagna: 11:10
4 bags tortillas (cut into quarters)
Line steamer trays with 2 ½ bags of tortillas (grease trays)
Top with meat mixture
Meat mixture:
15 lbs. ground beef (browned)
2-2qt jars tomatoes 1 tsp. garlic powder
2½ tbsp. ground cumin 2%½ tsp. salt
2½ tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. red pepper
Line again with remaining tortillas. Spread cheese mixture evenly on top of tortillas.
Cheese mixture:
12 cups cottage cheese, drained
10 cups shredded cheddar cheese
10 eggs, beaten
320 Bake uncovered @ 350 for 30 minutes
Top with:
20 cups shredded lettuce
5 cups chopped tomatoes
5 cups shredded cheese
2 onions, chopped
Have taco seasoning on the side

Giselle, please don’t ever feel embarrassed! Some things you can’t change and that is okay! I didn’t even notice the noise until something was mentioned, but it still doesn’t make me want to watch your videos any less! Mistakes always happen, but we become better people because of it! Don’t beat yourself up! I am sure everyone understood! You are apart of a very loving community and I know they love you just the same!

I just can't get over the beautiful singing on your vlogs. It's so peaceful.
For the folks that didn’t get the taco lasagna, what did you end up preparing for them? At my house if that happens you get a sandwich. Peanut butter and jelly, ham, turkey, chicken, what ever is available. You are not the first person this has ever happened to nor will you be the last. The lasagna must have been delicious if you ran out.
Wow, the food looks so delicious. Good picnic food and love your respect for privacy. Appreciate you sister. BTW, please continue to pray for me as I lost my wife (and best friend) on Monday, the 27th of June. But I know she's out of pain and dancing before the Lord. So, that's one thing that I love is watching your vlogs... wholesome and life-affirming. God is good.

I've noticed Corelle plates in your food videos. I love them! They're thin, light, and unbreakable...well, almost. Maybe less likely to break is a better description. Someone gave us a set as a wedding gift years ago.

Oh my goodness, I felt for you when you spoke of cleaning up grease and honey. Those have to be two of my least favourite kitchen spills and I, too, have done both. And I'm sure that those people who were in line for food, were not left hungry. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often because estimating what will get eaten is hard enough for 1 family, let alone for an entire colony. Also, I never notice background sounds - they are a part of an authentic life. No one gets anything done in a vacuum. In case I don't get another chance The happiest of birthdays to you! Make you always walk in sunshine even when it's raining. Your Mexican lasagna looks amazing as does everything else. I'd be like a mouse in your kitchen, nibbling on it all. When you talked about getting honey on your skirt you made me laugh. Yesterday I shook a bottle of yellow mustard and when I opened it, it sprayed all over me. I'm pretty used to getting food on my clothes by now but mustard is hard to get out of fabric. As for any noise in your videos I never hear it. I guess I expect sounds coming from a busy kitchen. Big hugs to you and Kona!

I hope you have a very Happy Birthday. I think the food was 1. Very good so people like it and served themselves generously and 2. People were very hungry that day. It happens especially when serving large numbers of people. I understand being upset, no cook ever wants someone to be hungry and having to wait for food. Just understand it happens and will probably happen again sometime.

Giselle, you are the best. Every time I watch your vlogs I fell at peace. They are so uplifting and brilliant. I have learned so much for you. You are such a great teacher. You have taught me how to be a better person and appreciate every moment in life. I would eat watermelon all year round. On kibbutz our biggest festival is the Festival of Weeks.
