Thank you Giselle, for reminding me that I am not alone! My hubby is a truck driver and gone for a week at a time. Being 70 and without him is lonely. The road is long! Can't wait for the day he retires and stays home with me so we can spend our time together!
I'm a trucker too, i stay out abroad (Europe) for over a week at a time - well, the best thing i do to keep in touch with anyone is phone calls, internet calls that is as the regular ones are too expensive, also there is facetime if your on iphone or ipad and have internet in the cab, it is easy to keep in touch :) I go all over Europe and occasionally i do bring someone along with me, maybe you could try that too and join him on his journey :) it is great fun to travel with someone and experience foreign cultures. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, it is certainly true in my case - i do miss my friends and family when i am on the road.
@@gwainknight4907 We do talk on the phone 3 times a day but it is not the same. I am handicapped, so travelling with him would be hard. I look forward to when he can retire! His is 69 and is retired, but we still need money until our last bill is paid. We will be debt free soon!
Its saturday evening here in The Netherlands and thats when i sit back and watch Giselle.i gain comfort from your videos , your bible verse and song. Thankyou and god bless
I'm sorry about your concert being cancelled this year but now you have a lot more time to plan for next year. More time to let your creative side loose! That's quite the sausage making operation you have there. Amazing how you all work together so well. Last but never least, Kona is such a smart pup! I love how she moved the snow sideways with her leg to get to what she thought might be under it. She's a treasure!
Hello Miss Giselle, this is your long lost Aunt again just reminding you when you come to clean my house plus wash my windows don't forget to bring some baked goodies and some sausage 😊. Seriously though I really enjoyed your devotional. I'm a single lady who never got married so life is really lonely sometimes, but thanks for the reminder that the Lord is with me at all times. Also I love the words of that last song. You are a real inspiration to me and a real highlight to my week. 🥰🙏
Giselle, I found your channel last year, not even sure how, but I am in love with your videos. I appreciate your life and love for Christ, it is so refreshing to see a beautiful young lady, who is hard working, sweet, kind, and loves the Lord with all her heart. Please don't ever stop sharing your videos, they bring so much joy and peace to our crazy lives. I've added the New Morning Mercies Devotional to my Christmas list, it looks amazing. Hope you're having a blessed week!!!
Lovely video Giselle. I can not eat sausage can't bite into it the minute it goes in mouth I have to spit it out. It's the texture and something in it causes me a migraine. I have had wonderful people bring me all kinds of sausage because they think theirs won't do that. Nope it all does. I have suffered trying to be polite sampling the gifted sausage only to gag and spend the day with a migraine. Oh well. I don't know if you knew that the little worms in your soil can be cured using epsom salt sprinkled on the soil once every two weeks for a month. The epsom kills the worm and feeds the plant magnesium and nitrogen.
Hi Giselle, those sausages look great. A Games night and some singing from all members of the community sounds like a great alternative. All the best from Ireland 🇮🇪.
Thank you for the sweet video! You have such a positive effect on me. Even when a little stressed you always manage it gracefully. A good lesson for me to look at the positive even when something goes wrong. Or I feel disappointed in myself. If your hands start drying and cracking with Winter coming, a couple of tricks you could try. Since you are used to wearing gloves anyway, making sure you have a pair on whenever you have to put your hands in any hot liquid, or any liquid with cleaners or detergents in it. Also when handling acidy foods (like citrus or tomatoes.) If your hands do start to get dried out carry a good hand lotion with you and put it on several times a day and after your hands get wet. If you need more help, you could try putting on loads of hand lotion before bed and wear cloth gloves over night. Trying different lotions, even greasy feelings ones, until you find one that works might be an answer too. Lanolin and aloe are excellent ingredients in lotions for "Winter hands" I just wanted to share this with you as I've had that problem during cold weather.
Thank you for your care and condolences. Sometimes when someone dies you don't know it some how in your mind its like blank or something. I watch your videos and it reminds me of my grandmother :) ...your videos are beautiful, kind, caring, loving, and most of all working together to live and survive :) thank you so much

You were lucky! We got like 4-5ft of snow on Thursday -Friday in Winnipeg. With the stormy winds and blowing snow. We had probably a 1/2 day to dig ourselves out, and it's snowing again!

This past year as been one of the most difficult of my life, for many reasons. Watching your videos over the last couple years, but especially the last 9 months, have kept me going more than once when keeping going wasn't easy. Thank you so much for that. Your video of you playing Rummikub with your family, your brothers, was especially important this past week. It reminded me of some of the happiest times in my life. Like you, Giselle, I am the oldest child in my family with only brothers. A week and a half ago the brother next after me, my 'little' brother (he was 203.20 cm or 6'8" tall), died very suddenly and unexpectedly. My heart is broken. I know he is safe now and where nothing will ever hurt him again, however, without my brother in it, the world is a little less bright. He is was one of the sweetest, kindest, funniest, most truly wonderful people I have every known. I would say that even if we weren't related. My brother spent his life trying to make the lives of those around him--both two legged and four legged--better. He succeeded far more often than he failed. I am so fortunate and honored to be able to call a truly amazing man my brother. Like my not so little little brother, Giselle, you make so many lives better by just being yourself. The light you are is not lost. Thank you very much for sharing.
🙏🏻❤️🩹🙏🏻Thank you Giselle and your message that we are not alone. I lost my husband the 22nd of September and I have been feeling so ALONE! I know I’m not and the Lord is with me but this journey is hard. We would have been married 53 years the 19th of this month😢Thank you for your encouragement and inspiration. Have a good week❤️🩹💔❤️🩹
I love snow so much! When I was younger I used to live in Missouri and we always had snow. Now that I live in Louisiana we are lucky to get frost. Enjoy your snow and do some sledding for me. I went to a private Christian college and it snowed we would take the lunch trays from the dinning hall and slide down the hill on them lol. So fun.
Giselle, you have such a good attitude about setbacks that no matter what, life is good. I adore your videos and seeing life as it is meant to be lived- in community. I wish your community made an album of Hutterite hymns, They touch my soul.
So good to see your video pop up! I hope you’re enjoying a peaceful Saturday. Here in Southern California we have been breaking 30-40 year old temperatures for the past few days. Los Angeles was 91 yesterday! It sure doesn’t feel like November. Take care until next week 💛
I just love this time of year! We get colder weather but nothing like you get in Canada. It’s nice to feel the earth slowing down and getting ready to sleep through winter. I’m going to have to check back for videos where you talk about Hutterite Christmas 🎄 traditions and practices. We are getting ready for Thanksgiving on Nov 25th. It’s such a day of family togetherness and traditions. Until next week 💛
Thank You Giselle. I've had so much health problems and my husband just lost the rest eye sight so he's blind now, I was feeling God had overfilled my plate and left me. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for encouraging us in the grace of God and reminding us we are never alone. Your testimony is so authentic. I see what I believe is a distinct difference in the Hutterite Christians and other colonies, communities or cultures. I no longer watch videos of the others because they seem to base their salvation on their rules instead of Jesus Christ. Some don’t even allow their people to read the Bible for themselves! But according to your videos we seem to share the same basic beliefs. I can see many positive aspects of community living of the Hutterites. May the Lord continue to bless you.
I have to tell you that the devotional, song and scripture were exactly what I needed today. I see it as a sign that the devotional was from the 4th and yet you shared that one with us today. 💕🙏 I love watching the process of making food even sausage, it's wonderful to see fresh foods made. In the Southern US we don't get a lot of snow and just the Winter weather advisory would close the city.. actual snow oh my it makes people totally crazy here!🤣🤣 Ice? Forget nobody is moving! 😂 I love watching your winter videos and seeing all the lovely scenery you always share, and can't wait to see you decorating for Christmas. I know you are disappointed about the Christmas concert and play that you do every year but I have faith that whatever is decided will be beautiful. Have a wonderful blessed week, and thank you again for this video, it touched my heart in a way I needed so much! Much love💕💕🙏🙏💕
thank you for your sweet comment and helping me see that even though we are not having a concert this year there are other things that are just as lovely and it will all work out in the end God bless :)
@@gisellewaldner9406 There is no telling what God might have planned and I for one am so looking forward to all the beauty we get to see through your eyes. You bring joy, beauty and peace with each video you make and I am so glad that I found your channel. 💕💕
I agree, I have my morning mug of coffee by myself to reflect on what the day has in store and to be thankful for another day. Nothing like a coffee on the deck with the birds starting to sing as the sun rises. I'll even sit in cold winter morning. The sausage looks absolutely beautiful would love to try some. Take care.
I spent the morning decorating for Christmas. I sat down for lunch and was thrilled to see you posted a video! I am 47 and I still get so excited for snow, yesterday I could not stop smiling. As I sit here in our home South of Steinbach MB, I think of you. I wonder if you too are looking at the snow coming down so softly, and if you are enjoying some tea and choc like me. May you and your community find many blessings in the week ahead.
Ohh i can't wait to decorate for Christmas, yes sitting here ans watching it, it adds such a festive Christmasy cheer, yes i did have my chocolate already 😊 blessings to you and your family 😊❤
Thank you Giselle in so glad you guys got your fist snow I wish you could have the Christmas celebration .i think every thing happens for a reason I'm Sur you all will figure out something .so have s great weekend .oh yeah hug Kona for .e ...
Happy first snow of the season! It looked so pretty! I’m sure the Christmas concert will be lovely, even if it has to be scaled down this year. I can’t wait to see a small glimpse of it next month! Be well, my dear friend ♥️
Ahh, Giselle...you make my heart happy with your vlogs. I look forward to them each weekend, and love when you share from you devotions, post a verse, and share the songs from your colony. Psalm 71:23--My lips shall greatly praise when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. God bless you in the coming week...see you next Saturday!!
Hello Giselle, you are truly blessed, protected and favoured by God for living in your community. You are completely isolated and immune to the immense sufferings that some of us our facing in this life. Please do not ever think the grass is greener on the other side, because it isn't. Yes, we can wear whatever we like, go wherever we like when we like etc, but sometimes there is a heavy price to be paid with freedom. You are truly pure in heart, and we all adore you. ❤️
thank you so much for your sweet comments and words of wisdom, i keep saying that i can't thank God enough for putting you into my lives and i truly can't he has blessed me with riches that i never though possible, he gifted me you ❤️
Lovely video, I really enjoyed it. I’m with you on the flies!! Killed one this morning. We got a bit more snow than you in our part of the province. When I heard your area didn’t get hit as hard I was surprised! You usually get hit the hardest!
We got rain then snow, too, about the same time you did. It's quite chilly down here. Making sausage was a fascinating chore to watch. Thank you for sharing it with us. It's 27*, which is the high for today, apparently. Blessings!
We got a lot of snow today which im not mad about 😊 currently only -3C but, im thinking the snow will stay. You are most welcome amd and blessings to you 😊
Thank you for another wonderful vlog. Did the farm supply the meat for sausage making? Liam was napping until he heard the choir sing. He woke up with smiles. Stay warm and safe. Too bad about the concert. Take care.
Giselle, I purchased New Morning Mercies Devotional after you shared a few of them with us on UA-cam. Since then, I purchased one for a friend who recently lost her spouse to cancer. Both of us thank you for sharing this book and some of the readings found within the pages of it. They have been solid ground to stand on when we sometimes feel very alone or have strayed off the path into sinful thinking. I sure appreciate you, your colony and your UA-cam channel. Everything about your channel is uplifting and helps me to refocus on the one in whom we believe created us. Blessings upon you and yours.
I always enjoy watching you and everyone working together and what you bake looks so good and the in the devotion and singing is all some have a blessed day
I like the songs that you end with. Back in the 70s, I was invited to teach school and live with a colony in Grassrange, Mt. I did not do it, but at least your videos show that Hutterites do exist. Back then, nobody had heard of them. They all thought I was talking about the Amish or Mennities. I will say that the men who worked for me were the strongest men I have ever seen.
Hooray! Another excellent video! You are shoveling snow and I have the air conditioning on. We are headed for cooler weather next week. Hope you have a great week, best wishes for you and your family!
Hey! Guess what! They are selling keifer at my local grocery store! I have really wanted to get some and even thought about making it. I will let you know how it works out!
Hi Gisselle! What is the name of the song at the end of this post? I love it…so beautiful. Thanks for all your time and energy you put into your channel for us. Jill
Dear Giselle! So sorry to hear about the concert! 😥 I would love to hear the kids singing!😍 Do you know " O du Fröhliche? " Its an old german Christmas carol and I would love to hear it from you. Your singing is sooo beautyful! Liebe Grüße und Gottes Segen 😘
This looked like so much fun. I am curious, did you choose your job as a cook or was it assigned? And is there a certain point where you are arranged to be married in your culture? I love learning these things. You don't have to answer.
We had our first real snow today in Western New York State. Only about 1 inch, but that is our start! I know how much you will enjoy your winter weather.
I am always amazed at how will you all work together. That is awesome. After I watched one of your blogs I get the energy to get some things done around the homested. The banana cookies looked amazing while I am here making banana bread for my husbands work.
I just wanted to say Giselle thank you very much for your content….I am currently battling Covid-19 and while I’ve been very scared at times as to what it’s suppose to be like, I’ve liked having your content playing in the backround because the warm kindness that’s given off does help alot

Giselle, thanks for mentioning Mauve Binchy's book, The Glass Lake. I had read it already many years ago. But now I am reading it again. It is wonderful! BTW, I have read all of her books. I love them all.
Put a half dozen drops of dish soap in a bucket of water.....submerge plant and pot to just cover pot and dirt for about one minute, remove and let drain. The dish soap will give the bugs terminal diiarea and kill them off.
Such a great video! I'd also love to see a basic Hutterite vocabulary video. Just some basic words in English and Hutterite! It would be so cool. Also, love the devotional that you shared. I'm sorry about the concert, but I know y'all will find something fun to do💛

As always, loved your vlog!! My daughter I live with got a new pup, from, a rescue.I was quite surprised when I asked what her name would be! Kona!! I started laughing! She said she named her after a local business here called Kona Ice. They sell shaved ice in paper cones during summer.Well, now your Kona has a namesake😉Big hugs from Missouri 🤗 ❤
I think Winnipeg got the snow you wanted. At my friend's house she got over a foot of snow. It was very interesting seeing how you make sausage. Thank you for sharing.
Giselle you just blessed my heart with your reading for that day you read I guess last week. I enjoyed hearing your mama read scripture. She seems a good mama. The reading really lifted my spirits. I was gonna share with ya that your plants would love banana tea. You just boil the banana peelings and let them steep for a while then let it cool and give your plants a vitamin rich treat. I do this and mine look great. Shalom Aleichem Mishpocah ♥️
ahh thank you for that i'm always looking for more ways that i improve their health and give them what they want and need so to say 😊. thank you so much i:m glad that you enjoyed it :)
Hi Giselle I think it be nice if all the children in each age group sing a song and at the end have everyone sing a song. Just a thought but great video and such a beautiful verse and song ❤️ God Bless 🙏🏼
Thank you for your lovely sharings each week. Question! Since you are mostly on the colony how do you all manage to learn to speak English when you are mostly speaking German ( or I suppose a dialect) to each other all day? Please sent the snow to New Jersey!
we learn our language as well as german and english as we go it just comes naturally to us yes, most of it gets taught in school but, by the time the children turn 5 they have a little bit of an understand of the languages...aww i wish i could :)

We're in MN and the high today is supposed to be 57!!! This is highly unusual. No snow either.
Love your work ethic of the women in your colony.
your Vlogs are so good for my soul. Thank you for sharing Bless you 💫
You are so welcome and blessings to you 😊
oh my gosh I can just imagine the smell of the sausage after it's out of the smoker. yummmmmm!!
It was mouth watering while we were making it 😊
It is getting hard to find breakfast sausage in my small town. Watching you make the sausage was interesting. Enjoyed the song. Very beautiful.
I have to tell you that the devotional, song and scripture were exactly what I needed today. I see it as a sign that the devotional was from the 4th and yet you shared that one with us today. 💕🙏
I love watching the process of making food even sausage, it's wonderful to see fresh foods made.
Wow, that’s a lot of sausage. Very professionally done.
Saturday is my work Friday and I always look forward to watching your videos when I get off work. 🙂
So interesting to see how sausage is made. Great video and I loved the scripture.
😊😊
Take care.
no so far we don't raise our own meat hopefully soon :) stay safe :)
Blessings upon you and yours.
blessings to you, i'm glad that you both enjoy the book and that i can help you with my videos that means the world to me ❤️
I always enjoy watching you and everyone working together and what you bake looks so good and the in the devotion and singing is all some have a blessed day
😊😊
Thank you😊 I always enjoy the a cappella singing worship songs to the Lord. I’m sure the Christmas event will turn out well.
That is interesting 70s hmm that was my moms time and she went to school with one teacher and multiple grades 🤭...whew sounds like a lot
Hooray! Another excellent video! You are shoveling snow and I have the air conditioning on. We are headed for cooler weather next week. Hope you have a great week, best wishes for you and your family!
I laughed out loud thinking about the snow and air conditioning together in different places 😊
Hey! Guess what! They are selling keifer at my local grocery store! I have really wanted to get some and even thought about making it. I will let you know how it works out!
Hi Gisselle! What is the name of the song at the end of this post? I love it…so beautiful. Thanks for all your time and energy you put into your channel for us. Jill
you are so welcome :) as for the song i believe its called holy spirit lead me on :)
My kids are like you and can’t wait for the first snow. I’m like your mom, I can definitely wait! Lol
So grateful for your videos
Thankyou 😊
A very busy week for all of you. My husband and I make sausage too. Have a great week.
It sounds beautiful thinking you more than ready for a concert! Thank you for sharing
I am always amazed at how will you all work together. That is awesome. After I watched one of your blogs I get the energy to get some things done around the homested. The banana cookies looked amazing while I am here making banana bread for my husbands work.
I really enjoy watching your stories. Thank you so much for continuing.
you are so welcome :)
Thank you for sharing the sausage making is a big project. I’d skip the heart sausage as well. Have a wonderful week.
Giselle, I really enjoyed your readings and the song today. It was very heart warming.
I wish I could come to your colony, my head is heavy and need to find contentment. ❤️❤️
Aww its sad to hear i wish you could too.. my prayers are with you sending you lots of love ❤❤
I just wanted to say Giselle thank you very much for your content….I am currently battling Covid-19 and while I’ve been very scared at times as to what it’s suppose to be like, I’ve liked having your content playing in the backround because the warm kindness that’s given off does help alot
I pray you will be healed very soon.
i'm sorry to hear that i hope that you will be better soon sending you lots of love and prayers ❤️
The concert tpoic is a bit sad but I'm sure you all will find something wonderful and exiting to do! The snow is definitely exciting.
I started watching you when I was recovering double knee replacement.
You have been very encouraging and enlightening young lady God Bless you
God bless you, i do hope you are feeling better :)
@@gisellewaldner9406 very much still needing prayers....
May I ask a favor from will you say a prayer for me to grow closer to Our Lord ..
I think your community needs to make a cook book ..I'm so interested in your teas and what to pick and how to dry
I just started watching your videos and just love them!!! I have always had a fascination with the Hutterite colony and the lifestyle. I find your videos sooo interesting and I just love the cooking! God Bless!
Welcome, welcome I'm happy to have you 😊 God bless you too ❤

👏👏👏well done on all the sausages, that’s a huge job! The singing was so beautiful at the end and was needed. Your devotional spoke to me ❤️. It’s a great one, I have it also and really like it.
Sorry to hear about the concert , you had got some things planned but now have to re adjust, I am sure it will be good fun. I have just bought a 🦃 Turkey from Asda, not long till Christmas ☃️🎄.
Yes now i just have to reprogram a bit and take a different route but, it will all be ok 😊
So sorry about the Christmas concert, I’m sure it won’t be the same but at least your family and community will be celebrating together in what ever way you can. Just a small mix of rain and snow here and it already melted away, hope you enjoy your winter walks 😊
Thank you for sharing Giselle!
U have such a nice calm voice. I love how all of y’all know all your jobs and are so willing to do what y’all are told to do without fussing. I envy that. I wish y’all nothing but good things always
thank you so much 😊
Love how your community works together & are so productive! Thank you for sharing your devotional & the beautiful singing! Both have inspired me! Love your videos!❤🤗
Yummy sausage!! I’m with you heart sausage not to sure. I’m sure whatever you all do for Christmas it will be beautiful and the kids will be excited to be apart of it all remember it’s about the time we share with family and friends. Enjoyed the video thanks for sharing see you next time!
Giselle, thanks for mentioning Mauve Binchy's book, The Glass Lake. I had read it already many years ago. But now I am reading it again. It is wonderful! BTW, I have read all of her books. I love them all.
are they all as goo as the glass lake? i just love that one :)
@@gisellewaldner9406 The Glass Lake might be the best! But I did love them all.
Thank you so much for answering the question about the wine. Do you sell the wine or do you use it for special occasions.
Your welcome..its only for special occasions 😊
Put a half dozen drops of dish soap in a bucket of water.....submerge plant and pot to just cover pot and dirt for about one minute, remove and let drain. The dish soap will give the bugs terminal diiarea and kill them off.
Such a great video! I'd also love to see a basic Hutterite vocabulary video. Just some basic words in English and Hutterite! It would be so cool. Also, love the devotional that you shared. I'm sorry about the concert, but I know y'all will find something fun to do💛
Thank you Giselle for this video and message! I needed that devotional reading; so comforting to know HE is with me no matter what my feelings are telling me.🙏🕍😍
I have attended some Christmas cantatas with 🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️ lights. On Christmas Eve it is so blessed.
I love to hear y'all sing.. its beautiful😊 I enjoy watching your people work.
I love watching you videos and learning about your traditions. Thank you for making them. I love the passage you read and the beautiful music. Would you mind sharing the title of the devotional, please?
Beautiful song in the end... and thanks for the lyrics to be blended into the video.
Giselle you are such a joy in our crazy world. Thank you❤️
As always, loved your vlog!! My daughter I live with got a new pup, from, a rescue.I was quite surprised when I asked what her name would be! Kona!! I started laughing! She said she named her after a local business here called Kona Ice. They sell shaved ice in paper cones during summer.Well, now your Kona has a namesake😉Big hugs from Missouri 🤗 ❤
oh wow that is sweet 😊 hugs to you
Been waiting all day for this! 💕
😊😊
I needed this today! Thank you for the encouragement. I hope whatever Christmas celebration you are able to have will be enjoyable for you.
Great video. So nice to hear your mom.
I think Winnipeg got the snow you wanted. At my friend's house she got over a foot of snow. It was very interesting seeing how you make sausage. Thank you for sharing.
you are so welcome i would still take another 5 feet of snow at our place :)
Lovely vlog Giselle. 😁
thank you 😊
It’s a happy day when I see a new video from you🙌🏻👏🏻❤️
Giselle you just blessed my heart with your reading for that day you read I guess last week.

I am sorry you were feeling disappointed. I hope it all works out for the best and you have an enjoyable time.
Hi Giselle I think it be nice if all the children in each age group sing a song and at the end have everyone sing a song. Just a thought but great video and such a beautiful verse and song ❤️ God Bless 🙏🏼
thank you so much for reading the daily devotional ,, i needed to hear it! loving your vlogs they truly bless me,,thank you sweetie
you are so welcome 😊
Thank you for your lovely sharings each week.
Question! Since you are mostly on the colony how do you all manage to learn to speak English when you are mostly speaking German ( or I suppose a dialect) to each other all day?
Please sent the snow to New Jersey!
we learn our language as well as german and english as we go it just comes naturally to us yes, most of it gets taught in school but, by the time the children turn 5 they have a little bit of an understand of the languages...aww i wish i could :)
