    Had an hour to kill earlier today, so I tossed together this to show some parts of the exterior of the car.
    Will probably to a better tour soon, but there is so many things that I would like to change or upgrade. So the "timing" is never right so show off the "finished" build.
    Any questions? Fire at me!
    Thanks for watching,
    K

    The best looking D4 I've come across hands down. The balance between the retro look and the modern parts are balanced perfectly 🤌
    Dreaming about doing a similar build for overlanding and work in the near future, but will probably have to settle for the D3 for economical reasons (and I have a strong dislike of start buttons/ electronic key systems).

    • @kasperhoglund
      @kasperhoglund  Рік тому +2

      Yeah there is a bunch of electrical stuff in this that I really would like to not have. A dumbed down and simplified D4 would be really cool to make. But so many laws regarding car modifications here in Norway that it’s a hassle. Even my car is in the “grey” 😅
      Thanks for the compliment! Really want to have it look like a planned build, and not just random pieces thrown together!

    I miss the old videos on the carpentry portion - would be cool to see what you come up with to make the inside more a effective for living. I know you said that you want to build a hatch though the roof to climb into the tent - that is also another great idea - kind of like a mini pull down ladder to climb up from inside the living quarters to the pop up - I do like the idea of turning the bottom quarters of into an office space and the pop up into a rest space since there is not much room in the back of the discovery currently for you to sit up fully as Imagine you are about 6 foot or so. Same here. I place to get an LR4 HSE in the States here.

    your videos and their calming vibes are a blessing! Building a RRC myself at the moment and its highly inspirational seeing your field tested disco! Thanks man! I do LOVE the fact that everything is secured inside the car. Depends on the weather where you travel obviously. But being ble to stay safe and sound in the bed, with crazy storms outside during Norwegian winters.. It just makes life so much easier than the old style roof tent.
      For weekend getaways its really nice, but not as a full time home!

      @@kasperhoglund that's so true, spent my first night high up in the Swiss alps cuddled up with my dachshund and a diesel heater running on the roof in a small snowstorm and it was so cozy. And itch time I see one of your video I am regretting my choice. Because the confort of driving you have, it’s difficult to have with the defender. At least without putting 100k€ on it.

      Really cool to hear! I did also consider the defender when I bought this. But as you say, "stock" its not as comfy haha! But my dad has a 110 Puma that ive taken on some trips. And its not as bad as a lot of people say. The most exhausting thing in there for me is the sound. Because you don't really think about how loud it is. So long drives with a really good head set is actually making defender life easier!

    • @atelier_zava
      @atelier_zava Рік тому

      @@kasperhoglund yes exactly! I have the 200 tdi and it’s worth than the puma. Even with the good sound deadening it’s loud. So the best I can do it’s not driving too fast. So I think mi next car for traveling gonna be the d4, for those reasons.
