I appreciate not only the effort in producing all these videos in English but also giving additional context to make things even more understandable to US/UK folks. It is really cool to just see mods/toys from Germany and Europe in general. We obviously have exposure to different aftermarket options. Thanks for taking the time to show the details!
Thank you for the great video and thank you very much for doing it in English, I really appreciate it. Awesome wagon too!
Fantastic! So well engineered. GREAT bike rack solution. Thanks to Jörg for sharing this!!
Joerg’s Discovery is really impressive, both in its functionality and it’s looks, especially with those wheels. Well done and thanks for sharing this on your channel🇦🇺👍
Nice to see a local fan show off his cool rig! And thanks for having it all in English, for us folks here is the USA.
That is a nice truck. Thanks Jörg. Very well put together.
Like the original Land Rover, those innovations of Joerg’s show form following function and necessity, with nothing extraneous. Brilliant. I love it!
This is what your channel is all about people showing how they have modified their discovery’s and helping others decide how things will work for them thanks both of you for giving great ideas
We really enjoyed meeting Jörg and filming with him his car. It was a first for us, and I hope we get to meet a couple of more cool guys, or girls of course, driving cool Land Rovers, which we can show on this platform. 👍🙋♀️ Vera
@@Vera_and_Christian my discovery is standard but one day it would be great to sit down with yourselves and other like minded people for a beer and a chat
@@drewbale We will do that 👍🙋♀️ Vera
What a great setup and very German indeed! Brilliant use of space, and something quite similar for what I envisioned for mine in the future. Thanks for showcasing it! Cheers!
Stumbled across this channel and am now binge watching. Excellent content and well presented. Thanks Joerg for showcasing your Discovery, well thought out and practical solutions to make camping as comfortable as possible. All the best from the UK. Andy
👍Welcome and I am so glad you liked our content. Hope you stick around for a while. 🙋♀️ Vera

Awesome gadgets , the bike rack is brilliant ... thanks for another great video Vera & Christian
A bit late to the party but all I can say is: inspirational to see how 1 plus 1 doesn’t just equal 2 or 3 but 4!
Awesome camping setup and lovely wheels!
Christian and Vera another entertaining video and presentation from over the pond ....)))) 🇬🇧
Fantastic ideas and thank you for sharing. Love the philosophy of thinking / engineering through problems / opportunities rather than just throwing money at it and buying off the shelf solutions. Another great video! All best from the UK
👍💪😃🙋♀️ Vera
That cooker module is the best I've seen ,easy to deploy for use it or use on the truck great for a quick cuppa on the road clever engineering 👍🏻
Lovely car, thanks all of you for showing us.
You took a piece of art and turned it into a masterpiece. Awesome rig
Thank you, lovely for you to share your knowledge and experience.
Excellent use of every centimetre of space!
Great video, impressive Disco. Always much more interesting to see how someone works around these problems to create an individual and very useful adventure vehicle. Thanks all for sharing I'm sure you have inspired some Disco enthusiasts.
We think that too. That is why we really love UA-cam. You get so much inspiration. 👍🙋♀️ Vera
I changed my fuel filter yesterday having watched you last video. The old one was corroded and been there a few years!!! Another LR with main dealer service history!!! Like you I do my own servicing and repairs if possible. Thank you for doing these great videos.
👍 Thank you, and your welcome. I hope we can provide many more informative videos that help LR owners servicing their own car. 🙋♀️ Vera
Thanks for sharing. A really attractive and well thought out Discovery 4
Thank you for another excellent video and what a nice very well prepared D4 that was done ingeniously
Thanks to Jorge for allowing it to be shown.
👍 Yes, we really liked that one too. 🙋♀️ Vera
Danke! What a well thought out camping Disco 4! Now I drive a 2016 LR4 HSE Lux with all whistles and bells. I've been driving Land Rovers since 1973 when I bought an L88 (defender type), then a 1999 Disco II, a 2009 RR HSE sport. They are fine vehicles as long as you keep them clean and well maintained.
I like that bike rack very much. Brilliant work.
I used this and Fabian's car as inspiration for my own bike rack on my Discovery 4. Thank you for another great video.
What a great set up, loving that swing out spare wheel carrier/bike rack set up, really interested in that for myself,
Yes I want one too, I am so glad Jörg came and showed that to us. 👍🙋♀️ Vera
Awsome rig and a really practical vehicle.
Beautiful truck. And a lot of good ideas.
i'm suffering from a serious dose of rig envy kudos to this team
Love the ‘hidden’ winch. That’s a great install.
Hi Everyone... there are still questions about the wheels although mentioned already. Its a Delta4x4 rim in 18'x9JJ ET 20... hope that helps. BR Jörg
@jörg don’t think they do rims for D4 anymore. Nothing on the Delta4x4 website
I was thinking of buying a camper van but now I’ve seen this I’m thinking of a Discovery.....awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I have to say, sometimes I'd like a camper van too, but with a Discovery, you are just so much more flexible, especially when you do get the chance to go off the beaten path. 🙋♀️ Vera
That is some nice piece of engineering!
That's a smart D4. Thanks for the vid Guys. 👍
I love this video so much. Lots of ingenuity.
Thank you for showing someone else's LR on your site. It is good to see what others are doing also. Your channel is providing plenty of ideas. I think we are lucky in Australia, from what I understand from you, there are a lot more LR after-market items available here when compared with Germany. Though I must admit I bought some Lift Rods from America, it was nearly 50% cheaper than buying them here.
I bought my ARB Bull-Bar and my sliding drawers second hand locally. I installed the Bull-Bar & drawers myself, along with a winch which I did buy new. I have to modify the side wings for the drawers to fit the contour of the LR3's wall trim. To lower the spare tyre I installed a socket and short extension permanently on the tyre winch bolt and I use a ratchet with another extension to reach it. The extension is a tight fit between the gap in the backrest of the third row seats (which left in, but permanently folded, In Australia I would have to have an engineer sign off on the removal of the third row seating & seatbelts and get a "modification Compliance Plate" installed. It was easier and cheaper (ie free) to leave the seats in.
We also cannot have wheels protrude without being covered. You can do that with wider wheel flares. I jst fitted the tallest tyre on the 18" LR rims. They are a little wider, but still contained under the standard LR3 flares. I managed to fit the larger spare tyre under the car, I had to remove the plastic guard that surrounds it & lower the tyre pressure a lot to fit it in. Once in I pumped the tyre up. It will be a pain to lower it, but I am sure it can be done. Thankfully radial tyres do not go flat or puncture often, and they are very durable off-roading.
😃👍 I am sure in Germany you would have to have the 3rd row also signed off by our TÜV, so lets better not talk about that 😅. I would do exactly the same with an extension of the winch access, we might do that one anyway, great idea. We have some plans with the wheels on this car, but you have to wait for the video to come out hopefully. 🙋♀️ Vera
Yet another great video from LRT. Great channel from you guys, Keep em coming.
Just found your channel, thank you for all the helpful tips.
Very nice handywork! Love the bike rack and storage!
Great Job, many thanks from Canada!
Wow I miss my LR3. I'll look at my D5 for some upgrades. This guy nailed it.
This is genius 👏👏👏. Really brilliant solutions
Brilliantly done 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Impressive rig you should be proud.
Excellent rig!
I love the net over the skylight.
This is super great. 👏🏾👏🏾
That's a bloody nice Disco there!
Very nice setup Jörg! Vera and Christian, I think you guys will soon have no shortage of visitors dropping in with interesting mods and funky faults! Your channel gets better all the time - congrats! Danke!👌 It only makes me want a Disco more not less also.
😃👍 Thanks, we'll hope so, so we can keep the content interesting and diversified 🙋♀️ Vera
you guys are awesome Danke
That is brilliantly made and executed - well done Joerg - and thanks to Vera and Christian for sharing this. I've always been an 'estate car' person and that has always been good for camping, but as LR's are so relatively cheap here in the UK I might be rethinking my strategy.
I had to google what "estate car" means, I hope I got it right.😅👍 But that is excactly what the Discovery provides, endless room and offroad capability with the driving behavior fit for a Queen. 🙋♀️ Vera
@@Vera_and_Christian Of course and well done Vera - you are correct - in the UK 'estate car' means the equivalent of a 'station wagon' in the USA. One of my cars is a Mondeo estate and has a large amount of room, but as you say the LR provides more off road capability. And yes Queen Elizabeth does drive LR's, as did the much loved Duke of Edinburgh.
It's great that the disco has a proper bumper to mount stuff!
I've been patiently waiting for your next video..... and I'm not disappointed..well done guys!
👍🙏🙋♀️ Vera
Another great video.
We run 275/65r18s on our LR3. On the stock wheels they do not stick out.
Impressive machine and work!
Vera , Christian thank you so much. Keep up the great work it's appreciated. Big thanks to the big man driving 1000 km for the video .
Awesome.set up
That really is awesome. Lovely German ingenuity! Well done!
Nice video guys. 4wd drawer systems are huge in Australia too. Kaymar make solid steel rear bumper bars to carry spare tyres which could easily do the same job for bicycles to suit LRs.
Fantastic.
Very nice setup he has. I like it.
Nice peaple . Very informative .
Very nice and a great use of space and engineering to fit!
Keep the videos coming!
😃👍🙋♀️Vera
Hello from the UK. Lovely channel you have! Subscribed!
👍😃🙋♀️ Vera
Really enjoyed the video. Great stuff. Greetings
Erik
Again watching your video of the configurations is fun. I have a swing away spare tyre holder. The spare tyre space under the LR now holds two Nato cans (perfect fit) with a steel plate to rest them on that now is lifted by the spare tyre cable. That was fun to configure, I made two other similar arrangements for friends with LRs. Extra fuel is necessary for long trips to the desert where no services are available. Always entertaining to see what you come up with on your videos.
Nice setup, rig, great 4x4 setup
Danke ! Das war gut zu sehen !
That is one sweet Disco! Really wish Land Rover would improve their quality, very stylish and extremely capable vehicles.
Awesome rig.
That's a good looking rig. From Australia
That bike carrier mod is off the chain! Didn't even know anything like that existed.
I'm a mountain biker so I'm really tripping out over that. Your channel is awesome!
It's a custom build, you can't buy it like that. 👍🙋♀️
Great setup, some great ideas there.
Very nice! Great ideas and extremely well engineered
Thanks for the video worth it just to see Vera’s beaming smile - nice car as well
😃👍😊🙋♀️Vera
@@Vera_and_Christian thank you Vera - lm still keeping my LR3 rolling - l love it, despite the frustration and constant upkeep, lm not changing it when l consider how much the cost would be to go up to the LR4 that does doesn’t do any more in practical terms let alone a new model which actually suffer with more problems than the 3 so, lm advised - hope you both are well Joe
Nice rig, awesome ideas.
Fantastic 👍
Cool. Now I start loving watching your video. Keep it up sir
Hi there, am American and right away i noticed the Dodge Challenger parked at the entrance. That was impressive to see.
The ingenuity on this LR4 is on another level. Love it. I subscribed to your channel and I hope to see more content from you
Greetings from USA 🇺🇸
😅👍🙏🙋♀️
Smart and simple ❤
Fantastic video
Super video.
Awesome build! Ive now spent way too much time watching your videos! So good....
😅👍🙋♀️ Vera
Sweet rig!
Great rig. I want one
Picking my 14plate discovery 4 tomorrow, feels like Christmas
Amazing Discovery!! Some really clever ideas, think I may borrow a few 😁Great job. Just really making me miss our holidays in our 90 now. Can't wait to get back over to Europe, we always have a great time when travelling in Germany. Stay safe. Tom from the UK.
😃 That is what our videos are there for, to inspire others. So please do so👍🙋♀️ Vera
Very nice camping setup. I don't own a Land Rover and probably never will but I really like the interaction between you two. I came for the mechanical repair videos and stayed for the humor and interaction. Vera ...you are always smiling!!! I have openly laughed at some of your interactions. How is your' English so good? I watched the video about your' US cars and the time spent in the US....its seems 'ye did not waste one minute!!! A great relationship!!! Well done on the excellent and entertaining videos....stop recording!!!! Hi from Ireland!!
😃👍We have lived in the US for almost 10 years, and Christian's speaks all day automotive english during his meetings with customers in the US. That is really cool that you come for the mechanical repair videos. We hope to reach more of you guys. 🙋♀️Vera
Nice
Great video
Very clever engineering 🍻
Very nice rig well done 😁🇬🇧👍
Vera thanks for your letter very good of you 😁🇬🇧👍
Very good
New subscriber here even though I have a Range Rover sport. Your channel is full of good ideas, great interaction with Vera and showing the world that Germans have a sense of humour the same as the British. Joerg's Disco 4 looks cool, good ideas and no lack of Engineering skills. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks and welcome. 😃👍🙋♀️ Vera
Such a clean design. You can use the rig daily and quickly go overlanding with very minimum preparation.
Very nice. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice setup! Our rack goes in the hitch and folds down for access to the back.
Ours folds down too, but its a pain. Fabian now also has a new Bikerack which sways out to the side. I am so jealous. 🙋♀️ Vera
Great stuff, Gpx
