one of the best tutorials i’ve seen! i’ve been looking for a sparks tutorial for so long and you taught it so well. amazingly easy to understand and play!!
Just recently picked up my ukulele after years and decided I wanted to actually try and learn to play it, been watching this video for a week+ now trying to master it. As a beginner I was finding certain youtube videos a little bit too boring or not explained well enough. Just wanted to let you know this video is genuinely so helpful and fun as you progress through it. Although, a great challenge, it’s equally as rewarding to learn parts I didn’t think I’d be able to do when I first watched the video. Thank You!

I have a drop G string, so it's an octave lower than a normal G. You can buy one online or most decent music shops will have one. You can't tune a normal uke G string to go an octave lower- it would be all floppy and unplayable.

Hi MrPeter it’s me Abdullah again, I’m coming back to UA-cam and I made a video about the uk! A World War Two song Called “We’ll meet again.” You are my favorite teacher and I hope you can teach us again in g6! We have 2 weeks left until we go to the summer holiday and in September we’ll go to g6.
hey love the video i do have a question it may be stupid but what string do you strum and in what order with what cords in the beginning of part 2. thank you?
This is a great idea- one of my all time favourites! I've just been trying to work it out and it sounds great on the drop G uke. I'll get on it! Thanks for the suggestion

Hi, it's a great tutorial, but can you please put the chords a little more in order, like this chords are for intro, and this are from the verse written? I can't see your fingers really good, i'm sorry and thnk u so much

she refers to the first three or four chords. Not fully understanding English, we can't figure out what they're like, since your hand covers up the chords!
you have to have a drop g string set :( i couldn’t figure out why either it was stressing me out. i’ll update if i find an alternate to the drop g string pluck he did at the beginning of part two
@@petercello okay good to know, i just wondering what string it is cuz your ukulele sound deeper, well i just i need to find what string is that, thanks mate
Ah, you're talking about the drop G. It's called a drop G or low G ukulele string. It's an octave lower than a standard uke G string. You can get them online from any decent music shop
Sorry for the glitchiness at the start of part two. It does pass.

hey love the video i do have a question it may be stupid but what string do you strum and in what order with what cords in the beginning of part 2. thank you?
Watch from 6:04. Do you have a drop G? Will sound very different if not
@@petercello okay thank you and yes!
@@petercello how do i get a drop g?
Thank you this is really cool:))
for the second part of the beginning, what chord is it at 2:22
B, C, E, B. It's just am Ami chord with a B in the bass. But because of the added octave it's a little ambiguous.
Do you think you could do Shivers by Coldplay on the Uke? I haven't seen anyone tackle that song. It would be cool :)

hi! thanks for the tutorial! i have a normal ukulele I don't know what to call it since im a beginner, but would it stop me from following this tutorial since your uke sounds different?
Nope! You can still play it, it will just sound different
may i ask if what kind of uke is that, soprano, concert? im planning to buy one so I can play this
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
You're very welcome!
Hey Nice tutorial, question, why your 4th string sounds like that, is that another kind of uke?
Thanks. It's a drop G- an octave lower than a standard uke G. Gives it a bit more beef and allows for some bass lines etc
@@petercello O: nicee, it reminds me to the "cuatro", an instrument from My country, Venezuela, sorry My English sucks 😅
What do you have you g string tuned to?
G : )
Thx!
THANK YOUUUUU!!!!!
Welcome!
Hello! great tutorial but since I don’t have a low g i can’t do the 6:20 part is there any other way I can do it?
Hello. You could play the same thing on a standard uke G, but it just won't sound as good. Buy a low G. Well worth the investment!
MR PETERRRR WE MISS U SO MUCHH 😭 (bia 🥲)

Yes! Great channel, I'm impressed
@@petercello thanks mr Peter!
So my ukulele doesn’t have a drop G string… is there any way i can still play this song on a regular ukulele?
Yes, you can. It will sound different due to the bass line jumping between octaves, so won't have quite the same effect. But it still works.
Hi, it's a great tutorial, but can you please put the chords a little more in order, like this chords are for intro, and this are from the verse written? I can't see your fingers really good, i'm sorry and thnk u so much

i'm no proffesional but i think its D UDU
I cant tell what the 3 notes are at 6:28 is it all on the C string because i see you put one finger an then play the open string maybe?
Hello. The notes in the bass line here are D (C1), open C and then the low open G , then A (G1).

No importa si tengo ukelele soprano?😿
why does your G string sound so different?
Drop G string. It's an octave lower than normal.
Yes
No ma sale un acordé q dice q son 3 troques pero no vea exactamente como es y no me sale😖
me gustaria ayudar pero no se que significa troques

D minor : )
can someone tell me why his G string sounds lower than mine?
you have to have a drop g string set
