@@martyfriedman1881 Coldplay played Sparks a lot of times. In fact, the last time was before they started with AHFOD tour, in 2015. Before that, they played a lot of times in Twisted Logic Tour LATAM (2007)

So beautiful. So soft. I missed hearing them in a more acoustic tone. I love how all their instruments standout, specially Guy's bass but honestly for me, Chris' voice... it fills my heart... I can't quite explain it but no other voice makes me feel such range of emotions as his. Such a unique timbre.
AR M. I could not agree more with all that you said. I definitely think that Parachutes and Rush of Blood to the Head showed their talent as musicians more than any other albums, even though I think that Viva la Vida is their best over all, and Mylo has their best lyrics.
I have teased that he sounds as if he has a cold and that's what I love about his voice.

So glad they ended up playing this instead of viva la vida. Viva won the vote but all the comments were asking for Sparks which were from hardcore fans since they knew Sparks was hardly played live.

@@leob4403 because most fans are casual fans I guess? Idk that’s what I think. Not everyone knows what sparks is and would rather they play something everyone knows (well now a lot more people know thanks to tiktok). It’s mainly the hardcore fans that want them to play songs like Politik or Swallowed In The Sea again while most just want to hear them play a fancy guitar riff and have dancing monkeys.

Oh man, you have no idea how ecstatic I am to see this song resurface. I always feel like this song is so underappreciated since it's such a hidden gem. I remember the first time I heard this song and how I was instantly put under a spell by its beauty. There's just something about the acoustic, simplistic feel and the way you can hear Guy's fingers slide across the bass that just always draws me in. One of the best Coldplay songs. I have a hunch they don’t play this song much because they don’t get the reaction that all the newer songs get. When bands get as big as Coldplay and they shift toward making energetic songs that make the crowds go wild, songs like Sparks suffer… Or maybe I’m wrong, people could be in tears in the crowd, who knows?
