Color Adjustment Animation in FCP X (v. 10.1.3)

There's no real way to animate color adjustments using keyframes in FCP X. Here's a quick and easy workaround.

Does it shorten the length of the clip?

nice, can also copy the clip up adjust its duration for the colour change period you want, then use the pop up video animation slider (right click the clip to open that) to adjust opacity sliders or keyframe the effect over the original to get variable levels of opacity over the original, even apply a blend mode.
