Color correction is something I’ve always struggled with understanding. I can’t tell you how many times someone’s told me about how to use lumetri scopes and I left understanding less than I thought I knew before. In 8 minutes, you used excellent, practical examples of how to correct color in almost any circumstance while demonstrating how almost every scope works. I applaud and appreciate you, sir.
This is absolutely amazing. I’ve been shooting my own music videos for the last few months with almost no idea of how to properly color correct them and this was easily the best tutorial I’ve found so far. Thank you
The way he uses the pen tool to correct the colours when there isn't a white and grey on the screen is low-key the most goated tip, Thank you my friend. I didn't regret watching this video.
Hi. Emmy nominated journalist here. You stepped up my video editing game more in 8 minutes than any professional development I've done since college. Thank you. Tip #3 literally made my jaw drop.
I rarely leave comments, but I want to express my appreciation for this tutorial. Out of all the color correction tutorials I’ve followed, this is the one that truly helped me get it right. Thank you for such clear and effective guidance!
wow! this was such a good tutorial! I've watched a lot of color correction videos and most of them boil down to playing with sliders but you provided a systematic way to do it.
FYI, color correction and color grading are different. Color correction is obviously just to correct colors, as shown in this video. Color grading is when you want to make a video more cinematic.
This is amazing. I've been doing videography for a few years, but just got a Canon R7 and tried Clog3 for the first time ever. After watching several videos, I felt overwhelmed, and this video changed that for me. After playing around for a few hours, I feel super confident in my colouring now! thank you a million times!
Before you asked the viewers to comment below, I already wanted to say how thankful I am for this tutorial. I've been in film and photography now for some time. I never take things for granted and never act too good to learn new ways. This is a fantastic video and I truly appreciate your time. Happy New Year everyone!
This video was the most helpful color correction tutorial I have ever seen.. I have watched hundereds of vids from top "filmmaker" creators and this was by far the most helpful. Thanks!
I used these on final cut, never knew I could do the same on Pr. Thank you for the best tutorial on colour correction I've watched yet. All the 4 tips were very useful.
This is the most helpful tutorial I have seen for color grading, especially when beginning with skin tones and then working out the white balance. Excellent video!
very and extremely helpful. in just a short video, you showed everything how to color correct not only the skin tones but the entire scenes as well in so easy to understand and follow demos. as an intermediate, i super appreciate this. thank you.
Excellent video. Tip 4 was the one I needed because my clip does not have any white in it but I followed your instructions perfectly using the Vectroscope YUV to balance the skin tones which was my issue and now the video looks perfect. Thank you again.
All great tips because I'm struggling right now to color correct a video that was shot by someone else in another country. I'm very close to matching my clips that are perfectly balanced but I'm struggling with the skin tones so I would say tip number four is my best tip because you're showing how I could do it without having anything white in the clip which is my situation. I'm going to give it a try this morning. Thanks
I am been searching for a color-correcting method that was easy to follow and I FINALLY found it. Saving this video for future reference. Thank you for these tips!
Thanks so much for this. I have had problems with color many times and this was no exception. Didn't think I could match colors up, but I am so glad I found your tutorial. Kudos to you.
You are a freaking legend my dude! I was editing a video and cuz of the light the skin was yellow, your trick to correct the skin, mind blown. Thank you so much!!!! WON A NEW SUBSCRIBER!!
You are right brother, learning something will really eat much of your time. But, I never felt that because you are able to share and explain the step by step process of the proper way of color correcting a video. Hats off to you man! Best tip is just masking a certain area of skintone/white and then adjusting it accordingly so it hits the Vectorscope. Really helpful brother!
This is the most effective tutorial I've seen so far on premiere pro on color correcting, thank you so much I really appreciate it, favorite tip is number 1 but all of them are new and great to me 😅
My favorite tip is tip no. 4. Using the vectroscope YUV since skin tones matter alot. Besides I think I learned sth new which is to create a mask in the opacity to single out the area we are using to correct WB with which enables the scope to only take reading from that area, awesome! 😊👌🏾
Thank you! I now have a better understanding of color correction and the tools to achieve better looking videos. I will be watching this video until it is ingrained in my mind. Thank you.
I must say your tutorial is one of the best in just 8 minutes. You change my color editing skills I really appreciate.... Please can you do a tutorial on how to get the right color on a footage and how to create a cinematic color grading

Tip #4 was my favorite tip. I never thought about creating a mask first. Game-changing! Thank you!
All really useful but tip 4 is particularly good for adjusting for different skin tones without using a white surface. Many thanks
Glad it was helpful!
The flesh tone line was the one that I wasn't grasping, but you just completely educated me on it and the "tip" with the mask FX was Genius!
As a new filmmaker, this has had to be the most informative and useful colour grading i have found. Keep up the great work!
Agreed! This video is fantastic
