Fantastic video. Fishing this river for 25+ years. The Guadalupe river is my 2nd home. Wish some of the property owners along these stretches of rivers weren't so entitled to "Their river". The fencing off properties down to the river and signage has gotten wild on the Guadalupe and many other rivers in south TX. Just look at the Blanco river now.
The wife and i first fly fished on the Guadalupe. Camping and fishing on the river were some of our best times living in Texas and gave us a common hobby that has spread to other fisheries in Texas and beyond. I often hike three miles up a mountain in Tennessee before I make my first cast to a fish that might reach 6” in length but whose beauty is hard to match.
Such an awesome video! Love the broll, close up shots of the fish, and the history! I am definitely going to have to make a trip and practice some good ol catch and release, I agree it’s so important.
Really wished a fly fishing club was at A&M while i was a student. This is a great video and GigEm. BTW, grew up in NB and caught my first trout at Camp Beans at the 4th crossing
I'm from Louisiana and the Guadalupe is one of my favorite places to fish, its a short drive to catch trout.

Great video Aggies. Nice highlights by local leaders in Guad. fishing.
Great work, y'all! Loved this video and I think it's super important that you're shining a light on this amazing resource we have in our backyard.
